Chapter 5
🐍🐍🐍
Days had come and days had gone, and throughout all of them, Chan was uncontrollably happy. He and Felix continued to sit at lunch with Woojin and the others, and they were just so welcoming and nice always, that Chan found himself wanting them to be part of his daily life more than he thought he would ever want it.
The best part of it was that none of them ever made jokes about his condition, or got irritated because of having to read a small screen to communicate with him. They had added both him and Felix to a group chat and it was just so funny to have convos with them. Not only he was happy with this group of friends, but his parents were too. They tried not to make it obvious so Chan wouldn't feel pressured, but the fact that he was finally acting like a normal teenager again, was like a ray of sunshine showering over their home and lives, even the service in the house seemed to be happier now that Chan was overflowing with good vibes.
It was already Friday, Jisung's Birthday, and they were supposed to get over to Woojin's house at 6 p.m. The mere idea made Chan excited. They had gotten out of school less than an hour ago but they didn't have to rush since Felix and Chan made to pack anything the night before.
And speaking of Woojin in general, he was an angel. If Chan believed there was some sort of god above in heaven that cared about them, he would definitely assure that God had sent Kim Woojin to his life to make it better. He was so sweet and funny, and Chan felt like he could lean on him and forget about his worries for a few minutes. Because somehow, Kim Woojin managed to make his every day a bit better.
Like the day after they talked for the first time when Woojin got to the classroom and said hello to him. But he didn't say it, the older guy learned how to say hello in KSL just for him and Chan was sure that nothing made him softer or gave him a warmer feeling than that during the entire day. Somehow, Chan was starting to feel like the storm had passed and the calm had come into his life. And he couldn't help it but feel thankful to those who brought happiness to him.
Chan walked out of his room and made his way to Felix's, staying on the opened door looking at his brother who was putting on some sneakers. He knocked on the door to make his presence be noticed.
"Are you ready?" Chan asked as Felix finishes tying his shoelaces.
"Yeah, just give me a minute," the blonde/pink/orange haired one answered, going to his mirror and giving himself a last look in the reflective object.
"You look good, although Changbin wouldn't mind if you just looked just like every day," Chan said with a smirk on his face.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Felix said, going for his backpack and giving Chan a confused look.
Chan raised a suggestive eyebrow, "You two seem to match up pretty well."
"Haha," Felix laughed with irony. "Have you seen yourself with Woojin?" Chan frowned.
"I have no idea what you mean, but let's get going now," Chan answered, and turned around, leaving through the corridor towards the main door of their house.
On his way out, he checked the group chat and couldn't help it but burst in laughter with the new name: The Seven Dwarves and The Twin Towers. Those definitely had to be Seungmin and Hyunjin, and the rest of them were the dwarves. He oversaw some of the many messages he hadn't read and at the end found a picture of Minho and Woojin smiling with the caption 'I arrived first!' Chan smiled.

Woojin was nervous.
Not even nervous, Woojin was afraid. Afraid of the fact that the guy that was now his almost one-month-old crush, was coming to his house. Of course, his friends would come too, but he was used to having them over all the time, they seemed to think that Woojin's house was theirs or something like that.
Minho had arrived like 15 minutes ago and was helping him out. And Chan's message to the group chat saying that he was also coming already, just made him even more nervous.
Woojin's house wasn't small, and he had to admit that. Although he wasn't much about bragging of the fact that his family was indeed wealthy since he was raised to see that more as a lucky strike than anything he should be proud of. However, he did enjoy the fact that he had nothing to worry about (fun and space wise) when his six friends came home. He was happy to say that that six was now and eight.
He moved through the room they generally used for movie nights. It was kind of like a small living room with a big screen and a huge and puffy couch in the middle. Adding to that some puffs scattered around. If was funny, because the puff would remind generally unused during their evenings. And all because his friends were clingy as hell and they loved to be close to the others, not that Woojin minded it much. He loved hugs.
In the room was also a low table where they would leave their food and other things. That was actually one of Woojin's favorite rooms in the house. But it could never win over the room with the piano and his guitar, that was defined the one he loved the most.
The doorbell ringed.
Woojin ran out of the room and went to the stairs, where he could watch as one of the people that worked in his house opened the door and received the guests. Woojin breathed again when he saw Jisung and Changbin enter the main salon. But little did his calm last when after them, Chan and Felix entered.
"Hey!" Minho popped from some random corridor, "Welcome to my second house," he said as he greeted those who arrived and high fived Changbin, Woojin laughed from where he was.
"You really like it here, don't you?" Jisung asked him, laughing at Minho's acting.
"Like you don't," the brown-haired said and proceeded to grab Jisung's hand and drag him, "Come with me!"
Jisung looked confused but didn't put resistance, and Woojin took that moment to run downstairs and greet Chan and Felix.
"Why don't you say hi to me like that too?" Changbin reclaimed him, a pout on his lips.
"You basically live here just like Minho, I don't have to introduce you to my house," Woojin chuckled. "You can leave your stuff at the room where you always sleep? I want to show the house to Channie and Felix," Changbin raised one of his eyebrows.
"Did you just—"
"Hanna, can you help Changbin carry Chan and Felix's backpacks while I show them around?" Woojin interrupted Changbin.
Hanna nodded and took Chan's backpack, while Changbin took both his backpack and Felix's. Did Felix just blush? Woojin let out a quiet chuckle that went unnoticed.
"Come with me," Woojin said, bowing and using a tone that made him think about a butler named Sebastian or something like that.
It was worth it, too. Because Chan started to laugh at what he'd done and he felt a warmth (that he was used to the feeling by now) inside his chest.
He did the tour through his house quickly, not really wanting to take a lot of time from Chan and Felix, and then went to the backyard. It wasn't dark yet, which was a plus, and when they got outside, the rest of the group was fooling around in there. Even Jeongin, Hyunjin, and Seungmin had arrived while he showed the house to the two new integrants of the group. It was cute to walk outside and see Hyunjin running around with Jeongin on his back, while Jisung was running behind them. Changbin, Minho and Seungmin were sitting on a bench, laughing at the boys that were running around.
They walked towards the benches too, and each one took a glass of orange juice that were resting on a tray over a table in front of the benches. Felix and Chan greeted those they hadn't seen yet and quickly started to talk about how big the house was.
"I told you, this is like a mini palace," Minho said, taking a sip of his orange juice.
"Now you mention that where is the infamous pool?" Chan asked, Seungmin acting as his personal translator again, he would be forever grateful to the younger.
Woojin turned around, pointing at the other side of the backyard, "There," he said. It was hard to notice because the pool was covered with a green canvas that camouflaged with the green of the grass almost perfectly. Chan gasped in awe and so did Felix.
Jeongin came running towards the benches and gave a big hug to Chan, they had grown closer in the few days they'd known each other. Chan was completely charmed with how cute the youngest one in the group was, and Jeongin seemed to like Chan a lot too. This made Woojin smile again, he just couldn't bare how much cuteness those two irradiated together.
"Should we go inside?" Hyunjin came and asked, Jisung walking behind him.
"Seems like a good idea, we still have to choose what movie, or movies, we'll watch," Seungmin agreed, and after that, they all walked inside, joking about anything and everything.
