"We're here." Maddy said, her misty breath disappearing into the cold night air.

"Uh... who's the friend?" I stared at the apartment door.

"His name is Cody."

I face-palmed and groaned. "Not another guy."

"Hey, this is our last option, ok?"

"Where have I heard that before..." I muttered.

Maddy knocked on the door, to have a blonde dude with grey eyes open the door.

"Oh, hi Cody!" Maddy said, twirling her hair. Ew, gross.

"Uh... Isn't it too late for this?" He said, scratching his head.

"Oh... we don't have anywhere else to stay." She said, looking away.

"Oh... come inside."

"Thanks!"

Ugh. Her annoying fake voice is just so... well, annoying.

"You two sleep in my bed. I'll just sleep on the couch."

We nodded our heads and went to the bed.

"Did you really have to act like that?"

"Like what?"

"I'm pretty sure you know what."

"No, I don't."

"You know what— whatever. Goodnight," I said turning away.

"S-Snow?" Natasha fidgeted nervously.

"Yeah?"

"My sister... she's coming tomorrow."

"Okay. Wait, what?! It's only been one month!"

"Well... she canceled her "plans.""

I felt the color drain from my face. "Oh no."

"Wait—before I die, I wanna tell you something. I don't know why my sister wanted me to pester Bloom. I swear, I kept asking her until she got annoyed with me and started threatening me. Her real name is Margaret Louise, although she goes by Renee White. She has long black hair and often wears sunglasses."

"Wow, that's um... very detailed."

"I know. Good luck."

I nodded. "Thanks. Have a good time in heaven. I promise your sacrifice won't go into the dirt."

"Why are you watching the news? The news is so boring."

I bit the inside of my cheek. "There's nothing good on."
