5 Things We Lost, Things We Missed

POV Jack

Yesterday she insisted that I join with her today while she goes to recording studio. After that would be a shopping spree of some kind and going out for a lunch as friends which she really repeated a lot to make her point. Apparently Elsa thinks that I need some clothes which I have picked up by myself.

It is about 7.30am so I go to the living room where we agreed to meet. Five minutes later I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turn around.

"Jack!" She said and smiled while holding something behind her back.

"Yeah, we just saw each other in breakfast... Mind telling me why you aren't ready yet?" I chuckled and gave her a grin. Her face turned red, she had half of her makeup done.

She turned her head away so I barely managed to see her mumbling something about doorbell. Quickly I turn her head back by taking a hold of her chin.

"I couldn't catch up with that. What about the doorbell?" I asked and her eyes flashed open as she presented me a package that she was hiding behind her back.

It was wrapped in brown paper, having her name and address written on it with my name, Jack.

"So my items arrived from the hospital?"I asked while reading the sender. She simply nodded and sat next to me on the couch where I just sat down.

I unwrapped the box and I found a worn looking blue hoodie with brown pants.

"You were wearing those," Elsa said biting her lip when I glanced at her.

"Yeah I was," I said half whispering when I saw the item I missed for some time in the bottom.

"What are those?" Elsa asked after taking my attention by placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Just an old snow globe which I've had ever since I remember. And... now I remember that if you don't get ready you will miss your appointment," I winked my eye.

There was no way for me to realize what she said but she was clearly panicking while running towards her room. I told her that I would wait for her at the limousine with Kristoff. Then I carefully packed my only possessions back to the box before heading out.

Kristoff was standing in front of the limousine and waiting. I waved my hand to him as I go down the few steps down from the front door. The car was already running because of the chilly weather.

"We will be late if she doesn't hurry up," Kristoff said while staring at me. I laugh to his expression which tells me a lot – this must happen often.

"She went to finish her makeup. So... you and Anna are going to some cabin this weekend?" I asked with a smile. I don't have often time to speak with Kristoff who is often working.

"Indeed we are!" Kristoff grinned. "Can't wait to ride on Sven after a while!" He cheered.

"Sven?" I said while frowning and he nodded with a wide smile.

"Yeah. My adoptive grandma lives there now and is taking care of my reindeer Sven. I couldn't bring him here yet with me but Anna loves him, I swear," Kristoff laughed.

"I see. So you have a pet reindeer, sounds cool," I replied as I stuffed my hands inside my jacket.

"Not a pet, he is like family. I had him since I was a child. Do you remember anything about your family?" He asked all of a sudden, making the smile slowly vanish from my face.

"Uh, no I don't. As I said memories have faded away from the time before three years ago," I sighed and I glanced down quickly only to get a cheerful pat from him.

"Cheer up!" He smiled when I look at him again.

I gave him a faint smile, "Yeah... Well I'm planning on leaving here quite soon so I can continue searching of my past. How should I tell her?"

"You mean Elsa?" He frowned and I nodded my head. He ruffled his hair nervously.

"Umm... You should do it with caution, she might... get upset aaaand," he laughed and bit his lip.

"And?" I said while lifting my eyebrow. "I really feel this urge to find out everything of mysef," I repeated.

"Just wait for a while, okay? You need to fully recover and she REALLY wants to pay back something that she feels like owing," Kristoff grinned.

"Sure but I think that I will speak with her this weekend, she needs to know," I say and we both silenced.

Suddenly Kristoff gets a victorious look on his face and takes out his wallet. I follow as he takes out a bunch of pictures. He hands me one and I look at him.

"There's Sven... And Anna, me and Elsa from last winter," he grinned and I lifted my eyebrow as I smiled slyly before glancing at the picture.

"Wow, nice family portrait... What's up with that snowman?" I laughed.

"Uh...," Kristoff started looking nervous and then he shrugged it off, "Well doing snowmen like that is our thing."

I nodded my head and then I look at the reindeer a bit better. "Sven looks hilarious," I laughed and then I got a strange feeling.

I heard jingle bells ringing in the distance and I could almost smell fresh fruit cake. A deep laughter echoed in my mind but it vanished when something hit against my back.

I look over my shoulder and I see Elsa holding a snow ball . "Getting your attention is so hard!" She cheered. "Let's go," she then added and started coming down the stairs.

"Are you okay? You sort of dozed off," Kristoff asked when I handed the picture back.

"Yeah... I just thought, well, like it reminded me of something," I smiled faintly.

Kristoff opened up the limousine doors, letting us to sit on the back. Elsa kept on explaining things about her work. She is quite new in the singing business from what she told me. It is hard to keep up with her because she explains things so fast that her lips are hard to follow.

The studio was a fancy looking place in town. People brought me some hot chocolate immediately and took me to a voice room to watch while she was performing. They even brought a chair for me.

Elsa sat on a high stool in the recording area. Once the light would be red they would be recording, that they explained to me. I couldn't help not to notice that she was a bit nervous while they put her headphones and the microphone in front of her.

Suddenly I felt a poke on my shoulder and I look towards the person who did it.

"Aren't you paying any attention at all? I asked if you want some headphones?" He said while holding the set.

I shook my head, "No thank you. I'm deaf."

I watch how he gets stressed and I try to calm him down. He kept on apologizing a while. This usually happens around people.

The light went red and people were getting ready to record. I stare at her while she is performing, her eyes go close and she tries to put emotion to it. l lift the mug and the warm drink goes down my throat. She's singing stuff about a hero, about her being unsure if sky is heaven.

After couple tries the recording people were happy to the result and they let her listen to the recording. Finally we were able to leave from there. Sitting around isn't my thing.

"So how was it? Uh, I mean not like what I sounded like but how did it look?" Elsa asked with enthusiastic smile.

"Well," I said while she went into the limousines back seat. "At some points you looked like dying and suffering animal but, yeah," I teased her and she slapped me immediately with annoyed look on her.

"Chill! I just think that the song was something you wouldn't normally do," I laughed.

Kristoff began taking us to the mall where we were supposed to go next. Elsa's anger was slowly soothing down.

"To be honest I don't need heroes but the song maker thought it would be nice," she said and brushed her hair away from her forehead. Her eyes were keenly looking at me.

"But I like the sky part! Sometimes it's like I've been dancing at the sky once, you know," she grinned with her eyes flickering like stars.

"Really?" I said rising my eyebrow.

"Yes! It might be a dream but... it seems so real," she said smiling.

"So real? Well, I like the sky too," I grinned.

"Especially the northern star," I began saying it but I noticed that she was saying the same thing.

I glance towards the driver's seat and I see how Kristoff keeps glancing on the rear mirror.

"There's just something mystic in it," Elsa continued when I look back at her.

"That I must agree," I exhaled. Kristoff drove us to the mall and then headed to do his own things. We had three hours to shop and eat. If you would ask me, I would rather eat the whole time we have here.

She literally dragged me into a men's fashion store.

Immediately a tall muscular man wearing a light green sweater approaches us. He brushes his hand through his hair which is done with hair gel.

"How may I help you out Elsa? Isn't Anna happy with Kristoff's outfits?" The guy grins with a wide bright white smile.

Elsa glances at me quickly and I gave her an unsatisfied look.

"The outfits are fine but my friend Jack could need some of your fashion tips... And I don't think that he loves the pieces of clothing that I found to him," Elsa smiled.

"Oh, so this guy here is Jack? You should be careful or your fans will think that you two are dating," he laughed as he rubbed his chin and looked at me from top to bottom. Then he gave his hand to shake.

"Name is Jack. You are?" I said.

"Naveen. Alright so which kind of style you like?" He smiled and started taking us towards fitting booths.

"Uh, something casual and comfortable," I gasped just before he pushed me to the fitting room.

I stood in the doorway with my mouth hanging open from that guys arrogance. I saw Elsa smiling and seeming a bit sorry.

Suddenly Naveen came back and pushed me into the fitting room, then closing the curtains.

There were shades of red, green and even pink. There's no way I'm going to even check these ones out and I hang them into a hook and check other pieces.

The gray worn jeans were looking good as well as a pair of black ones. I picked out even couple shirts and longsleeves to try out. I liked them in dark gray and navy blue.

I was just about to try on the second shirt with the gray jeans when the curtains were pulled open. My arms were inside the shirt and I stare at shocked Elsa and then shocked looking Naveen who is saying something as he closes up the curtain. My face is burning up as I pull the shirt on me to cover my bare chest.

The curtain narrows a bit and I see Elsa peeking in and I wave her to tell her to get in.

"What was that about?" I gasped while she rubbed her hands together nervously, letting out a small laughter before speaking.

"Uh, he was about to say that you should show your outfits to us when you try them on. Then he got immediately anxious when you didn't reply and I didn't have time to stop him. I'm sorry," she told me and bit her bottom lip nervously.

"It's fine and I think that these outfits on the chair and on me are good enough. Are you sure that you want to get them though?" I said asking my eyebrow.

Suddenly she began looking at me differently and her hand went to her chin. Then she tilted her head as her eyes wandered on my body.

"The size is good and so are the clothes. Okay, now get changed and we will go for a lunch after purchasing these," she said while smiling and slapping her hands together.

She took us into a Chinese restaurant and we were served by a guy named Mushu. He was wearing a flaming red asian style clothing, his hair had a blue highlight and his narrow mustaches were funny.

"I think we should look around after lunch," she said to me after they brought us the starter – a some sort of thin water based soup.

"More shopping?" I exhaled and she nodded her head.

"But just window shopping because I really like that," she grinned and took the spoon of hers.

"Alright," I replied as I took my spoon.

For a moment I kept on watching her eating until I got a crazy idea. I stood up a bit and then I sank my spoon into her soup and I stole one spoonful which I ate. Her eyes were wide open from shock as she stared at me but then she began laughing.

"A revenge for sharing my lunch some time ago," I winked my eye when I sat back down to eat my own soup.

Suddenly a group of girls came at the table. I followed what one of them was saying, something about autograph and they were holding out their notebooks. Elsa took her pen and chatted with them a bit after signing her name.

The girls kept glancing at me nervously and then back at Elsa until they left.

"Sorry, fame does that," Elsa shrugged when they were far enough for not to hear her.

"I guess so," I replied. The girls had now stopped at the entrance of the Chinese restaurant and looking at our table.

One of them was taking out a camera and one of them was assuming that I was Elsa's secret boyfriend or something like that. The camera flashed as they took a picture from our table and then Mushu chased them out from the restaurant.

"What are you thinking?" Elsa asked after catching my attention by placing her hand over mine.

"The girls just took a picture of our table," I tried to be casual while telling her that.

"Oh, they could've just asked if they wanted a picture of me," Elsa said and sighed after.

I agreed to her thinking, except that they wanted a picture with her and me. I guess that people aren't used to see her with a guy.

Mushu thanked us gratefully when Elsa paid the bill. I grabbed my dark gray marine style coat with two rows of buttons from the back support of the chair and I put it back on. The food was rather good in the restaurant called "Ancestors".

We kept on walking around the mall. Sometimes we stopped to look at windows with 'cute' things as she pointed out. Something caught my attention however when we were walking past a store. The window was cluttered with items that were sparkly and in wild range of colors.

I stop and stare at the inside. A toy train is going around a track and there are Christmas decorations hanging from a frosted branch in the ceiling. Then I felt a gentle pull on my sleeve and I turn my head to right.

"You want to get in?" Elsa nodded towards the door of the store called 'Seasonal Greetings'.

Before I could respond she was taking me in. A fresh scent of fruit cake and cookies caught my nose and I see how Elsa sprints forward. The whole store was made to present Christmas at this time of the year but there were other things.

"Oh look at the cute bunny!" Elsa cheered after turning round to find me. I walk over to her and I see a toy bunny hopping around some sort of easter village with little baby chickens and some painted eggs.

"You don't want to race a rabbit, mate."

It was like someone had spoken to me, I had never heard that voice before and I look over my shoulder to see someone. However there was no one. When I turned back I saw Elsa staring at me with concern.

"Are you alright?" She asked. Again I just saw her lips moving, forming words but no sound. Yeah, I just imagined things.

"Yeah, sorry.." I grinned and ruffled my hair. My hand bumped into something and I see an ornament circling around from its string.

I stopped the movement and I see a bird like creature in colors of purple and green. It is covered with glitter.

"Ah, you found tooth fairy. Do you like it?" The shop owner smiled when he approached us.

"It is pretty," I said while looking at it. There was something familiar in it too.

"Jack!" Elsa looked really enthusiastic while waving. She was in some golden section. I went to her and she lifted up a small statue of a small golden man.

"I'll buy this for Anna.It is Sandman! She is always so sleepy," Elsa laughed while holding the statue on her palm.

"Yup, it is really cool," I admitted while examining it. Then she was about to sneeze until she couldn't hold it back.

Her head turned away, towards the golden scene. Her sneeze made some golden, shiny dust fly around the boutique and when I got some of it on me I began coughing. It went into my eyes and lungs or that's how it felt.

I closed my eyes for a moment and then it was like I was in different world. The smells and sounds were seeming so real, like I've had experienced them once. I saw glimpses of reindeer and a laughing large white bearded man. A large bunny was lifting me up, glaring at me and throwing me to ground angrily. And suddenly a woman flew towards me but I wasn't sure if she was the prettiest bird in the world or a woman. The bunny was now having an argument with a man shimmering in gold. I left them alone in the room and then, it felt like I was flying. Flying like the wind and the voice I heard, cheerful laughter – was it me?

"You dozed off again!" Elsa stared into my eyes, she had shaken me until I opened up my eyes.

"I think... maybe... just maybe I remembered something," I gulped. Why would it be so real otherwise?

"That's really good!"Elsa smiled and gave me a quick hug which I responded awkwardly. The way she just jumped to hang from me with her arms around my neck. It was like...

"Oh my gosh, your coat is filled with gold glitter," she laughed while wiping my coat. I glance down and she was right, I tap through my coat and the floor gets all shimmering.

POV Elsa

Going out today was really nice. Even though Jack didn't look like he enjoyed shopping that much he was seeming happy of seeing people after being stuck in my home for some time.

He was really weird though, when he got a burst of gold glitter on him. Maybe he is remembering something but his behavior is somehow scary.

We bumped into a nightmare from my past when we got out from the shop. It was Hans, Anna's ex who went a bit berserk. They had released him from jail and now he was there to make fun of me. He knows what I accidentally did and he nearly gave the information of my powers away at that point but then he noticed Jack.

It was funny though, to see how Hans tried to insult Jack and even more when he realized that Jack was deaf. However Jack was enjoying the moment, outsmarting him with his comments. Even though some of the comments were not so mature there's something so fascinating in him, he made Hans nearly run from the scene.

Even though it would've been nice to skip the following conversation between me and Jack. I had to tell him that Hans was a musician as well, a singer who kind of betrayed Anna's trust and tried to kill me when he lost his mind. It made him quiet and seemingly angry but he gained his normal ways back on our way back to my home.

As soon as we arrived Anna left with her husband, Kristoff, to their cabin trip which scared me a bit. She doesn't leave me alone that often but she was sure that I can handle it. And that I have a really good friend like Jack in here if something happens. I don't know if it should reassure me or not, I mean he doesn't know everything about me and I don't know everything about him so how could he be there for me if I'm struggling? But I couldn't deny Anna to have her alone time with her husband.

We played a mystery board game after we got back. Jack was sometimes looking at the snow globe in his hands, playing with it and placing it down to table. When I asked about it, he seemed so sure that it was a key to something in his past. Probably the car crash where he hit his head had opened up a gate for him to reach his memories slowly again.

The cool sheets feel nice when I crawl into my bed. This day was nice even though I stumbled upon Hans. Anna liked so much of her new statue representing Sandman. Now I just waited for Sandman to visit so I could go into the world of dreams. Hopefully without nightmares this time.

"Good night Anna," I whispered when my head began feeling heavy and sleep wasn't that far away.

The corridors around me were long after I left the big looking kitchen. My steps echoed and I saw antiques everywhere. I look at my hands which were childs. There I was again, staring at my reflection from an old knights armor, my heart began thumping and I ran to my bedroom, or that's what I had guessed it would be. It was the only door I could open.

The feeling of being chased was haunting me again and I locked up the door, letting myself slide down with my back against it.

"Why do I have to deal with this dream again?" I shivered and embraced myself.

Then I saw it, the darkness spreading from the corner. It crawled over the table, down the floor and towards me. My heart beat increased and I begged it to stay away. Then my powers exploded and I screamed when the ice covered the room. I closed my eyes and I covered my ears as I cried.

When I dared to open up my eyes again I noticed that I was back in my home, in my bed and not that creepy old, big building. I wave my hand to thaw the ice which was frosting the walls. I had lost control again.

I glance at the phone, should I call Anna even though it is night? My hand shakes when I reach out to take the phone but then I pull my hand back.

I threw my blanket aside and I rushed out to the corridor. Right near my room was the guest room where I entered without knocking because it would be pointless. I squeeze my hands against my chest as I went in. My eyes were nailed to the bed where Jack was sleeping.

I sat next to his bed, trying to calm myself down before waking him up. Then I clicked his bed light on and gently shook him awake. He startled a bit when he saw me, he immediately sat down and stared at me in shock. My other free hand was crumbling the fabric of my night gown nervously.

"Elsa?" He asked with raspy, sleepy voice. His bed cover fell from his chest, he was sleeping without a shirt and it made me blush.

"I saw a nightmare, I really don't like them... U-usually I can go to Anna," I told him and then he rubbed his neck.

"So now you came to me?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"S-she usually lets me sleep with her if I'm scared, yeah... silly for an adult girl to do," I smiled insecurely and then I look down.

"Well, I don't see it as silly but she's not here this weekend," he spoke and sounded curious.

I dared myself to look back up again, to meet his gaze. "C-could... would you let me sleep next to you?" I gulped.

He kept on staring at me for a moment. Perhaps I just crossed the line. Then he lifted up his blanket and laid down.

"Sure, just hop in," he said with a smile.

I shook my head quickly, "No. In my bed. Is it okay?"

He sighed and got up. "Just a sec," he said when he went to put his t-shirt on. Then he went at the door and asked if I was coming. I turned the light off and I went after him.

"So... which of the rooms is yours?" He asked while yawning and I took his hand in the dark corridor.

I took him to my room and he looked around in the light of the night light. Then I realized that he had never been in here.

"Nice," he said when he glanced at me. He had just stared at the pink heart pillow which Anna had given to me last year.

"Uh, yeah," I gulped when I went to hide the pillow under other pillows on the couch.

In this time he had went to stand beside the bed and he gestured towards it. "Ladies first, I promise that I won't try anything dirty," he grinned. The last part he said made me frown because before I didn't even think that he could try a move on me.

"Thanks," I said to him when I crawled back into the bed.

My heart skipped a beat when he came next to me, the bed sank a bit as other persons – a mans bodyweight was pressing on it. He smelled kind of fresh and his body felt cool.

"Night," I told him before I turned my back at him.

"Night," he replied when I turned off the lights. I felt his back against mine as he was breathing, we managed to fit in the same bed but it was a bit crowded. Maybe I should've asked him to bring his own blanket? However I can't ask that from him anymore or I'm being annoying.

He was breathing steadily and I slowly realized that he was sleeping already. Listening him was making me feel sleepy as well.

Suddenly I was back in the bedroom with the scary dark matter approaching me. The helpless child who I am now began screaming while trying to pull legs away from the slowly closing danger.

Something pushed me and then again. It was like the door was being banged from behind and then a hole was broken into it. A hand came through and landed on my shoulder, the voice called out to my name "Elsa".

I blinked and then I saw Jack staring at me. His hands were on my shoulders.

"You were dreaming again, you kicked me like crazy," he said seriously when his right hand went to brush over my hair. He was looking really concerned.

I sobbed, nodding my head and then I crawled against him. He gasped when I sneaked my hands by accident under his shirt and I snuggled my head against his chest. Slowly he began to stroke my back with his hand and I sighed. I closed my eyes and I locked my arms around his waist.

"Okay then. Hopefully this keeps you sleeping and not so restless," he said a bit awkwardly and I nodded my head. He reached to the light and shut it down.

He hadn't notice the thin layer of ice which had already began to spread from me. That was only because he woke me up in time and managed to calm me down by being there. It might be possible that I might tell him about my powers because he might not be too scared of finding out. At least his heart beat sounds calming and nice so maybe I can trust him.

A/N:

What do you guys think that Jack is remembering? How about Elsa and her dreams, what is that about?

Anyways. How have you been? ^-^
