Part I: Chapter 1

In a world, which people here often call Kyoshin, where everyone looks  almost the same: Some have brown hair, some have black hair, but the major thing in common is that everyone has yellow eyes, except for some speical cases that the eyes are blue or other colors, due to being mixed with foreign genetic.

This planet is different from ours, as there's much more injustice and inequality. No one knows when those dark days will end completely. As long as it is there, they still have to live with them.

In this world, in an unknown year, but it can be said of the twenty-first century, we will be visiting a rather interesting place: It is a place that looks a bit like a school or a kindergarten, but it is called an orphanage.

In front of a small block of houses near the gate, two people are talking about something. Now, let us try to get closer and listen, to see what they are saying.

"I'll send him here." - A woman replied to the caregiver.

Her hand was holding a child, and he was looking away, not knowing what he was staring at.

"Can't you take care of him?"

"This boy's parents are dead, he has no other relatives, and my family can't accept another child, neither can any other family." - She lamented.

A nanny with long brown hair, tied to two sides, wearing a long cream-yellow dress that fell over her knees, took notes carefully in a small notebook, and then asked:

"What's your name?"

The boy seemed nervous when he first met strangers, so he did not respond. That neighbor had to answer for him:

"His name is Kiyo."

"Okay, so he is Kiyo. And how old is he?" - She did not look directly at the other person, continued to take notes.

"I don't remember his birthday, but he's about five years old. Try to ask him, maybe he does remember."

"Okay." - The caregiver took the file from the other woman. "If that's the case, then he'll be the oldest in my class. It has just opened, and we'll take good care of them."

"Then that's great, I'll leave Kiyo here. Alright, I go now."

She let go of Kiyo's hand and headed for the main gate, and her figure slowly disappeared and no longer to be seen anymore.

The nanny is now the one holding the boy's hand, now that she had a chance to take a closer look at him. Kiyo was small, a bit thin, and had very light skin. He also had short, straight black hair, and has a small section of hair that curled up on top of his head. She looked at Kiyo, with a soft and gentle voice, asking him:

"Do you want to visit the school with me?"

The nanny did not want to use the word orphanage because it sounded a bit weird for a preschool kid like Kiyo, she thought it was too early for him to understand his own situation.

Now, for the first time, she heard the young boy's voice:

"Sure. But what's your name?"

"I'm Yuri. I forgot to introduce myself, sorry about that!"

So the two of them went around the orphanage together.

For Kiyo, the orphanage was a very large and interesting place. Was there any place he knew like this, where besides being paved with red-orange tiles, there was also a completely natural lawn, slide and swing with bright colors, suitable for children? There were flower fields grown by everyone here, when they bloomed, they would become colorful in the early morning sunlight.

Yuri also took Kiyo to the cafeteria, looking at each room one by one, including the babysitters' rooms. There were also chickens, pigeons, and rabbits, who know when Kiyo would be able to finish seeing them all.

When Yuri was about to take Kiyo back to class, she noticed that him seemed to be asking something.

"What's matter?"

"What's over there, miss?"

Where Kiyo pointing is something long and black. She was startled, tried to avoid his question and reluctantly answered:

"It's nothing, don't go in there. Come on, let's go to class, it's time."

Kiyo did not doubt anything about it and slowly entered the classroom. Immediately, a series of eyes looked at the boy, scaring him slightly. Knowing that it is replacing of the question who is that? , he tried to remain calm. However, Kiyo still backed down.

Yuri put her hand on the boy's shoulder and said:

"Children, this is Kiyo, our new classmate. Remember to be nice to each other! Kiyo, come in."

They said "Yes" and went among him. A girl about the same age as Kiyo, who was very active and lively, immediately said:

"Come in and play with us. Don't be afraid, there's plenty things to play with."

Her words did not sound very seamless, but anyway, this also helped Kiyo soon get along with his friends in the same situation as her. Yuri was also happy for the boy.

That was how the first morning in the orphanage passed.
