CHAPTER 26

     Mac's POV   

     I was playing with Aunt Dallas and Mad-Mad when all of a sudden there a pounding on the door. Dallas got up to look through the hole and when she turned to us she looked really scared. She motioned for us to be quiet and follow her. Mad-Mad picked me up and walked to a door. Dallas opened it and a set of stairs were in place. "Hurry!" Dallas whispered and Mad-Mad ran down them as best as she could. Dallas shut the door and locked it, then joined us. She walked into a room full of t.v's, you could see the outside of Dallas' house on them. Three guys were standing on the porch at the front door. Suddenly, a booming voice came from one of them, "We know you're in there Dallas Lovato. Give us Mackenzie, and we won't be forced to harm you." I whimpered. I knew that voice. Maddie clapped a hand over my mouth and I nodded, she took it away. "Madison Lovato. Final warning." From our view we could see him pull out a gun. Dallas' eyes widened. 

        Suddenly the sound of screeching tires and cop cars cut through the air. I covered my ears. They're so loud. The three men on the porch ran into the woods. we waited a few minutes and heard shouting, then, Jason walked onto the porch. "It's okay! That's Jason!" I told Mad-Mad and Aunt Dallas. They nodded and walked up stairs to the door, Dallas opened it. "Oh thank goodness you guys are safe. Mac are you okay?" I nodded. "Your momma's on her way."

     Demi's POV   

"Someone tried to kidnap Mac."   

      I looked at Max, not comprehending. "What?" "Three guys showed up at Dallas' demanding Mac." Before he even finished his sentence I was walking towards the door. I kicked it open and broke into a run. I have never so furious in my life. No one. NO ONE. Threatens my fucking daughter. Or my sisters. I flew down the flights of stairs and threw myself into my car. Max appeared at my window, "You okay to drive?" As an answer, I stamped on the gas, the engine snarled and I was out of the parking garage and onto the road within minutes. "Faster. Faster." I said to myself outloud, as I wove in and out of traffic,  attracting a lot of fingers and honking of horns. I whipped the car onto Dallas' street and my heart dropped when I saw cop cars and ambulances. "Oh no no no!" I said, tears coming to my eyes. I screeched to a stop, got out and ran under the police tape, ignoring the officers yelling at me "Where's my daughter?!" I yelled to no one in particular. "Mommy!" I whipped around to see Mac, in tears running towards me. I dropped to my knees and hugged her as tight as I could. "My baby... Oh my god. Mackenzie." I whispered over and over again as I cried. My heart was still beating really fast. I stayed on the ground. Mac was wrapped around me as close as I could get her. "I love you so much babygirl. I don't know what I would have done if... Oh my god." I squeezed her. "I love you too mommy." Mac said and hugged me back. "Always." I whispered. 

  Sorry it's kinda short, I wasn't really planning on updating today... I was just bored and decided to surprise you guys! btw.. 30+k reads?! I love you guys!!!!
