"Order whatever you want.", Silco said while handing the menu back to the waiter that was ready to write your wishes down. "You're my guest."

Unsure, you closed the card.

"There are no prices.", you whispered to him.

"Places like this don't put prices down. It's considered rude."

"So, the rich just pay?"

"They do. Now, pick something or I'll do it for us."

"I'm... not sure."

Rolling his eyes, he sighed and leaned back in his chair to take another sip from his glass.

"We will take the special menu.", he said to the waiter.

The woman nodded, her face not moving one single bit, turned her back on the two of you and disappeared.

Frowning, you looked at him.

"What is that... special menu?", you asked carefully.

He shrugged.

"The most expensive thing that this restaurant has to offer."

You held your breath.

"It wasn't on the card.", you pressed out between your teeth. "Is it that special?"

"It is. Just let yourself be surprised."

"With the weight of the bill?"

"Please, darling. You're my guest. That's none of your concern."

"I don't wish to suck you dry."

He chuckled. His gaze locked with yours, amusement shimmering inside the colours, while the tip of his finger played with the brim of his glass.

"Don't worry, I'm far more wealthy than that.", he smirked.

"That's a weird way of telling me I'm poor."

He chuckled.

The sound made your heart jump. Blushing, you turned your gaze away to avoid his eyes.

He noticed and tilted his head in a silent question.

You cleared your throat. Your heart started to beat like crazy. As his hand reached out to grab yours again, you jumped up in a reflex.

Surprised, his eyebrows rose. His lips were slightly parted, attracting your attention.

Heat filled your head.

"I- I need to use the bathroom.", you stuttered and gifted him a soft smile before rushing away.

As the sound of running water filled your ears, your mind started to calm down again. But even as you took a deep breath and cleaned your face, your heart did not want to slow down.

Sighing, you let your head hang low and glanced into the mirror.

"What the fuck is happening?", you asked yourself silently. "He's kind of charming... but you can't forget he's blackmailing you. He might harm the kids."

Biting your lips, you hesitated. The words were probably true, but they tasted as bitter as a lie. Somehow, you did not want them to be true. You wished to see more of his soft side, feel it.

Chuckling, you closed your eyes again.

"You're such an idiot.", you had to rub the bridge of your nose to prevent a headache. "He's... the eye of Zaun. You're just his pet. You don't even want to be his pet."

It was a lie, but it would be easier to lie to yourself rather than accepting that you were slowly loosing his mind.

Why Silco?

Out of all the criminals that were filling the lanes like rats, why the most powerful one, most dangerous?

If he wanted to, he could make your life hell on earth.

And yet you couldn't help but feel something. You did not dare to call it love, because it wasn't. But sympathy seemed to get closest.

"Shit.", you hissed and pushed the door open into the hallway.

Your eyes jumped through the room, red and gold kissed white. The entire restaurant seemed to be a perfect copy of Silco. A soft smile appeared in your lips as you thought about it.

But as your gaze fell onto a figure, broad shoulders and quite tall, the smile died down. Holding your breath, you froze right on the spot while your eyes were glued to the man.

His dark hair adored one side of his face, the rest of his heavily tattooed head was shaved. He seemed to be just as much of a misfit in this restaurant as you with his bright yellow jacket and the dressing pants that made clear how slender his legs were.

As he tilted his head to throw a glance to the tables, a jaw of polished metal flashed.

"Fuck!", you gasped and jumped behind a decorative wall to avoid getting seen by him.

It was him, the man that had been accompanied by Renni.

What was his name again?

Finn?

No matter what it was, him meeting you would surely mean your death sentence.

How could you forget about him?

Why had you missed the opportunity to tell Silco what you had heard in Renni's cave?

They were trying to overthrow him.

"Fuck, fuck you're so stupid!", you scolded yourself and threw a quick glance around the corner.

Your heart stopped beating for a moment.

Suddenly, your mouth was as dry as a desert while your stomach turned.

He was gone.

Without thinking you jumped up and let your gaze wander through the huge room, but neither him nor his bright yellow jacket could be spotted anywhere.

Slightly panicking, you started to breath faster, turned around and rushed back to the table.

As you returned, Silco looked up, a pleased expression on his face. But the soft smile on his lips quickly turned into confusion was he noticed how tense you were.

"Are you feeling unwell?", he asked and got up to take your face into his hands. "The water here is way cleaner than the one in Zaun. Your body will get used to it."

Breathing heavily, you shook your head while your eyes jumped restlessly through the room.

"We- we have to go.", you said, feeling something approaching. "But you ignored it and thought it was just a bad omen."

"The food will be here soon.", Silco let his thumb stroke over your cheek.

"No- no we have to go. Seriously."

"Why in such a rush all of a sudden?"

"I...", you closed your eyes and forced yourself to calm down for a moment. "I've got enemies here."

"So do I, but nothing will happen. This is a civil place, nothing happens in public with witnesses."

His words made you relax for a moment. But you froze again as soon as a figure approached in the corner of your eyes. Filled with horror, you met Finn's gaze.

"We've got a guest.", Silco said. "A business partner of mine. I hope you don't mind."
