*3 years earlier*

I woke up to Hazel shaking me like a deranged lunatic, and shouting " WAKE UP IT'S YOUR 13TH BIRTHDAY, HURRY". I too grabbed her shoulders and shook her like crazy, causing her untamed hair to bounce everywhere, and repeated her words just as loud in her ear. "Why are you so excited Haze?" "Did you not just hear me? IT'S YOUR 13TH BIRTHDAY!" She blew out my eardrums, and I lightly pushed her out of the way so I could head to the bathroom, and just as I expected, Hazel followed me.

A short, pale boy appeared in the thin glass of the mirror, replicating every move I made. Reaching across the counter for the tube of toothpaste, I snatched the toothbrush from its holder, and scrubbed my teeth until they practically bled. The whole time Hazel was beside me saying real encouraging things like "hurry up" or, " get a move on."

Once I put everything back into its desired place and wiped my mouth off with my shirt sleeve, I turned toward Hazel and clamped a hand over her mouth. "Hazel, first of all, you need to slow down. I can barely process a word you're saying, especially this early in the morning. Second, why is my 13th birthday so important anyway? It just means that I'm a year closer to death". With that said and done, I started to the kitchen. I felt in the mood for junk food. "NICO DI ANGELO YOU GET YOUR SORRY BUTT BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!" Hazel shouted from the hallway.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is how I ended up on the floor getting tackled by Hazel. "Haazell get ooooooff" I whined. "Nico it's your 13th birthday, the day your soulmate tattoo appears somewhere on your body, and I want to see it happen, so suck it up and deal with it". She slowly got up, yanking me with her.  " now where do you think its going to appear?".....
