FEBRUARY 20th, 2019

"Okay! I have a stack of cases you need to attend and a stack of –"

Theo stops Violet from talking any further by slamming his blood rushed lips against hers, quickly laying her body on the desk behind her. She yelps as her back collides with the hard wood, her skirt rising high around her thin waist. His large hands take over her entire neck as they wrap tightly around it, holding her down as he towers over her. Her knees bend upward as he pushes himself in between her thighs, grinding against her panties, grunting as he does so.

This has been going on for the past two months since she's taken this internship. Every weekend that Violet comes from Hogwarts to complete her internship hours, Theo can't keep his hands off her and is constantly creating a mess in his office. Sex on the desk, sex against the wall, sex on his chair, sex on the couch. It's a miracle they haven't been walked in on after all these times. It's a miracle they still have the energy to keep going.

"No –" Violet moans as Theo moves his kisses to her marked up neck, looking for a place where there's no hickey already. "– we have to work. We can't keep doing this T-Theo."

"One more time." he grumbles against her skin, sucking on an area he hasn't placed a hickey yet. His rough sucks against her sensitive skin drive her crazy and he knows that because he keeps doing it every time.

Violet groans loudly as she pushes his heavy body off with her thin arms. He jolts back to his feet and clenches his jaw angrily with his eyebrows furrowed together as he looks down at her on the desk. He's mad, she can tell he's mad. All these times she's never told him to stop or told him no, she's begged him to keep going and now all of a sudden, she wants to stop.

"I have one more weekend left of this internship position, I need to know more than just how you look without your clothes on." she adjusts her turtle neck, covering how badly she's covered in bites and hickeys from the man standing at her feet. "Plus, my father said he wanted to talk to me tonight before he left, he probably has some questions about what I've been learning."

"Your father is an idiot." Theo murmurs under his breath, running his hand back through his hair to fix his curls. "Ditch him and come have a romantic dinner with me?"

Violet hops off the table, pulling down her skirt, while shaking her head repeatedly. She's so confused with the way Theo has been treating her this past week. It's like every day – even at school – he finds an excuse for a romantic dinner or hot night sex where Violet has to pay Genevieve to leave their dorm for a couple hours. She's running out of excuses as to why she needs Gen to leave.

She lowers down to the grown, holding herself on the edge of the table as she gathers all the files that fell from her hand when Theo attacked her. She lays them on her lap while she mutters the titles of their importance under her breath. Meanwhile, Theo is watching the back of her, adjusting himself in his pants because he was expecting some action a couple seconds ago. Instead, he got turned down and doesn't know how to react to that.

He's never been turned down.

"What is it with all these romantic late nights?" Violet asks as she sets the files on the desk and walks over to set another pile in the cabinet. "Is there something you need to tell me?"

Theo rubs the back of his neck with his large hands while he looks at Violet who is now leaning back against the table, looking at him with these worried eyes. She's suspicious, he can see it written all over her face. Then he can't say nothing because he is hiding something. Something too big to keep hidden any longer. They've been together for almost two months; she knows his lying face too well for him to hide anything from her.

"Theo? You know you can tell me anything right?" she cocks her head to the side, biting her bottom lip with a frown on her face. "I'm here, tell me."

Again, he says nothing. Trying to move on or change the subject by picking up the telephone on his desk and holding it up to his ear. He's not even talking to anybody; he just wants to stop talking about the thing he doesn't want to bring up.

Violet gets angry at his silence, yanking the telephone from his hand and slamming it against the machine. His body flinches at the action and she presses her palms against wooden desk. Her eyes squint angrily and she parts her lips as she scans his face all over, examining how nervous he is. They've never been this close without kissing or ripping each other's clothes off and now she's noticing how sad his face is too.

Why is he sad?

"What's going on?" she inches closer, making him back up with fright. "Is this about what my father told you and Malfoy back in December?"

Malfoy, she can't bring herself to even say his first name anymore.

"No and yes." He shrugs back, giving her puppy eyes so she changes the subject. "I'm going to go get lunch, I'm starving."

"Don't move!" Violet shouts as she blocks his way with her hand against his strong chest. "You're not leaving until you tell me what it is you're hiding from me." she moves her head so their eyes meet. "I thought we didn't keep secrets from each other?"

"This won't be a secret for long." Theo walks away from her, throwing himself in the small couch at the end of his office with his head in his hands. "Your father will tell you soon, he's just good at telling things too late."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean!?"

Theo groans angrily as he turns his large hands into fists and punches the wall next to him. His impact broke a whole into the wood wall and Violet flinches out of natural reaction. She felt her chest tighten and she's becoming terrified of him. She's never wanted to be scared of him. Not Theo. But it's hard not to be when he's acting the way he is.

"It means he set you up to marry Thomas! An arranged marriage!"

When Violet hears that, she feels faint. Her heart drops to her feet that are glued heavy to the ground and her body goes ice cold like if she's been dumped in a bucket of freezing water. She feels dizzy, almost as if this isn't real.

It can't be real; those words just can't be real.

Her head begins to shake, it's like she isn't controlling how fast it's shaking. The words he said sounded like gibberish and yet they made her feel like absolute shit.

Her mind feels like a swarm of emotions are trying to pop out through her skin. Her blood is boiling with anger and she feels like she can set fire to the entire office they're in right now. Violet says nothing to him but it feels like everything is in slow motion as she turns around and heads for the office door.

She grabs the handle and swings the door open, letting it hit the wall with a loud bang. The air coming from outside hits her heated skin and even then, she doesn't react. Her feet are quick to start speeding down the open walkway. There are men and women in cloaks and fancy dressing that are bumping into Violets shoulders as she pants, running through crowds. She pays no attention to the ones bumping into her because she's to focused on the Ministers doors at the end of the glass walkway.

Her clothes are sticking to her – now – sweaty body and she's breathing so fast that it's a miracle she hasn't passed out onto the glass floor beneath her. She's pushing people out of her way, breathlessly climbing up a flight of glass stairs. Her knees feel weak like if in seconds they're going to give up on her when she walks through the two large doors to her father's office.

"Carl!" she shouts angrily as she pushes open the large wooden doors, meeting eyes with her father who is sitting at his desk with his head resting in his hands. "You set me up for a marriage! You promised me! You swore you would never do that! That you would let me find love!"

"Violet not now please." he groans into his hands, slamming the doors behind her with his mind so others don't listen in. "I'm not feeling well, we will talk later."

"No! Stop keeping things from me!" her voice cracks with tears in her eyes. "I'm your daughter for Merlin's sake! You tell everyone everything before you decide it's time to tell me! This is my life!"

Carl looks up and his eyes move behind her, causing Violet to turn around and see Theo standing at the doorway with his hands in the pockets of his trousers. It angers Violet that he can't just mind his own business and leave her to talk with her father. She's tired of people knowing things about her life before she finds out. Everyone knows her life and she's yet to find out months later.

If Theo hadn't told her earlier, she wonders what would have happened. She would have been set up for a marriage without her approval or even her consent!

Violet feels like her whole life is lie at this point. How much has Theo known about her since he came into her life? All this bullshit about him protecting her and 'we don't lie to each other' she believed it and he was the one lying.

Violet looks back at her father and sighs. "I won't marry Thomas Nott. I don't love him!" she feels tears drop down her cheeks and she's quick to wipe them away. "You can not force me!"

"I'm sorry Violet but you simply have no choice in this, the decision has been made." he shakes his head repeatedly. "You need someone to support you and a stable home. You need someone your age, not Draco Malfoy!"

Violet freezes in her spot, her heart dropping even lower. Did she hear that correctly? Her father just mentioned her relationship with Draco Malfoy who she hasn't talked to since December. He ignores her during class and makes sure to stay out of her way during dinners and passing periods. There's no way her father could have possibly known about what happened between them, he was hardly there for any of it.

Behind her, Theo is in shock with his eyes on Violet, waiting for her response. He himself didn't know her father knew. Now he's wondering if he knew about them?

"I- I don't know what you're talking about." she sighs and shakes her head as she paces in front of the large desk. "Draco Malfoy is my professor, nothing else. And this is about Thomas not Malfoy! About the promise you broke!"

"I've known about your relationship with Draco Malfoy from the start! He fed off your sadness and he was no good for you!" his rage rises, his body standing up from his chair and his face turning red with rage. "You're marrying Thomas Nott and you have no other option!"

"Carl maybe you need to rethink –" Theo stands up for Violet but is quickly cut off by Carl who is just as mad with him as he is with Violet.

"Don't even try to speak to me right now Theodore!" Carl raises his finger in Theo's face. "You were supposed to protect my daughter! That's what we agreed on and yet you allowed her to continue in a relationship with Draco Malfoy! You let him take advantage of her and you broke our agreement!"

"Agreement?" Violet turns to Theo with tears running down her face. She feels like she's just been stabbed in the heart. Betrayed. "W-what is he talking about Theo? What agreement?"

The quiver and pain in her voice hurts Theo, he didn't expect for her to ever find out about that. He broke it off months ago. This agreement Carl is talking about, they made it in September, before Theo even met Violet. Before he got to know her. He didn't think he'd fall in love with her the way he has. He made the agreement to keep her safe, be kind to her in exchange for a large amount of money from her father. He faked being kind when they first met, he planned to get a little use of her but then he fell for her.

"Our agreement isn't the problem right now Violet!" Carl shouts. "The problem is or was Draco. Now you're free to marry Thomas without fear of distraction."

"Was? I- I don't understand?" Violet looks between Carl and Theo but Theo has just a confused face as Violet. She looks back at her father and clenches her jaw. "What did you do?!"

"I didn't do anything, Violet. Draco finally understood he needed to fix his marriage so he left. Don't know where and quite frankly I do not care." Carl folds his hands on his desk as he sits back down and leans forward. "He was a burden on you and he's gone now. Move on with a good man like Thomas!"

Violet opens her mouth to say something but there's this pain in her stomach, a piercing one. She leans against the desk and a gasp escaped Theo's mouth from behind her.

"Violet th-there's blood spreading down your thighs." Theo points out as he rushes towards her to hold her in his arms, her father rushing around the desk as well.

She looks down at her legs and clenches her stomach tightly. "I have to go to St. Mungo's." she speaks in a pained tone as she leans her body against Theo. "I think I'm having a miscarriage."
