Why are so many of us always wondering what the meaning of love is? Is it out of fear of uncertainty in a relationship? Or is it because we ourselves have been accused of not showing love for someone? And why is it that, even when we don't fully understand what exactly love is, we tend to make decisions – good and bad – based on love?

Astoria gave Draco twenty-four hours to make decision. He's terrified because he's spent all day in the past with Violet and only has one hour left. Literally, they've both been in the past all day, having fun and forgetting the future's problems.

However, there's a problem. Draco has already made a decision but it doesn't feel like the right one to make. With an hour left on the timer, he takes a deep breath and looks at the woman standing in front of him. "I choose you." He closes his eyes and repeats again with a more assured voice. "I choose you."

***************

Cressida closes her jaw and rubs her temples with stress. "Who's he going to pick?"

"I think I need some time away." Draco sighs. "I have a place to stay already, I'll give you my answer when I'm ready."

"You have twenty-four hours to give me your answer Draco." Astoria responds and the clacking of nails against a cellphone can be heard. "Exactly twenty-four hours. I'm your wife, it shouldn't take any longer to make a choice!"

Draco doesn't respond and instead walks out of the living room, into the foyer where Cressida, Scorpius, Thomas, and Violet all stumble up the stairs to make it look like they weren't listening.

"We were uh just going upstairs." Thomas clears his throat as they all reach the top of the stair case and look down at Draco who's eyes are bloodshot red with tears. "Are you okay?"

Violet looks away from the ground and looks down at Draco with this face that show that she heard what he said about her. There's this obvious tension filling the room and it's making both Violet and Draco feel like they want to just run up to each other and kiss until they can't breathe. Violet is just aching for him to burst out in front of everybody and shout to Violet that he chooses her. However, he won't because it'd risk too much to do it publicly.

"I have to go." Draco sighs and fixes his glass as he looks up at all the kids at the top of the stairs. "So, I will see you all another time."

"Someone should go talk to him." Cressida sighs as they all watch Draco leave the Manor and shut the door behind him. "I mean we all know I'm not that good at talking or comforting people. So, someone has to go."

None of them talk or move to go help but instead they just continue to stand there in shock. What are they supposed to tell him? If anything, Violet is the only one who can talk to him and say or do the right thing.

Violet doesn't say anything but instead she runs down the stairs and slams open the doors, letting them close behind her. Draco is walking with his head low and his hands inside his pockets. "Draco!" Violet runs to him as he turns around at the sound of her voice and she throws her arms around his neck. "I love you too."

They both smile at each other before he pulls her into a passionate kiss, making her tiptoe to reach his lips. Violet slides her hands down to Draco's chest and they both rest their foreheads against each other's. Both of them let out a sigh and they pull apart to look at each other.

"Come with me to the past." Draco laughs softly as he tucks Violet's hair behind both ears with the brightest smile ever. "I want to show you how happy you make me feel. Let me."

Violet cocks her head in confusion and holds back a smile as she speaks. "The past? Really?" She lets out a laugh and turns back to the doors of Nott Manor. "Let me grab my coat and I'll meet you at my place?"

Draco nods as Violet turns back around and walks right into the foyer where they're all still waiting at the top of the stairs. Violet walks up to the bottom of the stairs and looks up at them with her hand on her hip.

"So?" Cressida shouts with her hands in the air. "Is he crying? Did he say a name? What are the details?!"

"He needs a place to stay." Violet responds as she licks her bottom lip from the excess of Draco's saliva that was sitting there. "I have a place with an extra room and I offered it to him so I'm going to show him where it is and make him comfortable. Is that okay?"

Lying seems to come easy to Violet now that she's getting used to it. Draco made a liar out of her and she's not even complaining but instead she's continuing it and even getting better at it.

"Anything to get him and my mother to stop arguing." Scorpius taps his hand on the railing as he runs down the steps and places a kiss on Violet's forehead. "Thanks Vi."

Violet gives all of them a reassuring smile before walking into the hallway where Theo's sleeping in the bedroom. She opens the door quietly and peaks in, seeing Theo on his phone as he's resting on his side. He looks over his phone and laughs when he looks at Violet who's putting her coat on and fixing up her hair. His eyes scan her and he parts his lips to let out a sigh.

"Don't look at me like that." Violet whispers and walks over to sit next to Theo on the bed. She feels his head and his cheeks and he's still hot. "You're still burning up Theo. Drink some water and maybe drink the pills instead of letting them sit on the counter. I'm going with Draco; him and Astoria had a really bad argument so he needs somewhere to stay."

"Gosh of course Violet." Theo groans and turns his phone off to give her his full attention. "You need to wake up and realize you're his second choice. If he wanted you, he would've left that old hag a long time ago. You don't see the real man standing in front of you. Me I am that man."

Violet laughs awkwardly with a small smile on her face and she puts another wet cloth on Theo's warm head. "You're still in your hallucination phase of your fever." She whispers and pulls the blanket back over his body as she stands up. "I'm damaged goods, you don't want me. Goodbye Theo."

She places a kiss on his cheek and buttons her long coat before leaving the room and bumping into Thomas. He's leaning against the wall across the room door with his arms crossed over his chest and a smile on his face. He says nothing to Violet but instead places a kiss on her cheek and walks into the room behind her. Violet sighs with relief and walks out of Nott Manor, seeing that Draco waited for her at the end of the passageway. He actually waited.

Violet reaches Draco and gives him a smile. "You waited."

"I waited." He laughs and extends his hand out. "Come on, Violet."

Violet takes a hold of his hand and they apparate out of the passageway together, landing outside of Violet's flat. She grabs her key from her pocket and unlocks the door, revealing a living room full of tequila shots from the previous night with Cressida. Draco uses his wand and cleans up the place in less than five seconds. It's a shocker he didn't scold her for drinking or leaving empty bottles out.

They both take a seat on the couch and Violet rests her head to the side on Draco's shoulder as they cuddle together. He brings his hand up to her cheek and rests it there as they both stay in silence. Violet has no idea what Draco means by going to the past. She doesn't know if it actually means the past or if it's just figurative.

"What exactly do you mean by going to the past?" Violet questions quietly as she moves to see Draco completely and rest her legs on his thigh. "Do you really mean like travel back in time? Is that even possible?"

"That's exactly what I mean. Travel back in time." Draco pulls his wand out and uses it to pull a white string out of his head and place it on his and Violet's hands. "I want you to see the year I was at my happiest. I was fifteen at the time and it was my fourth year at Hogwarts. We'll go and you'll see me young and I'll see you younger too."

"I looked the same when I was fifteen, I'm just taller now." Violet laughs awkwardly and looks down at the white, glowing string that's resting on their palms. "So, what now? Do we just wait or –"

Violet's sentence is cut short when Draco shuts his hand and they both get sucked into a bright white light. For what feels like ages, they're getting warped into this bright room until the sound of a trains horn is heard. They get dropped on their bottoms against rough, uncomfortable seats and Violet turns to see a young, platinum haired Draco sitting beside her. His complexion is very different. His hair isn't combed to the side like it is when he's older, instead his hair is messy and very bowl cut like. His hand is full of rings and he's in Slytherin uniform, but so is Violet.

"You look –" Violet smiles and brushes her hand through Draco's messy hair. "– very handsome and so young. How far back are we?"

"Hey Draco." A girls voice is heard behind Violet and she turns to see a young girl who looks exactly like Cressida. She takes a seat across Violet and Draco and places her pale hands on the table, grabbing Draco's and lifting her eyebrow. "No black suit today? And where the hell is Theo?"

Draco pulls his hands away and throws his arm over Violet's shoulder, shifting the girls attention to Violet and then back to Draco who starts speaking. "Pansy, this is Violet my girlfriend and Theo is probably just running late as always." Draco cocks his head and continues. "And no, no black suit today."

Violet turns to Draco with a big smile on her face after hearing him refer to her as his girlfriend. It's going to take her some time to get used to hearing him say that. Hearing it makes her wish she had gone to school with him and be the same age.

"Talking about me?" Theo's recognizable voice speaks next to Violet's ear and he moves her hair to get a clear look at her face. He sits next to Pansy and furrows his eyebrows. "Who's the princess?"

"I'm not a pri –"

"Violet." Draco puts his hand on Violet's bare thigh just bellow her skirt and she sits back. "This is Violet and she's, my girlfriend. Keep your eyes off her and your hands off her to geez."

Theo looks the same young as he does when he's older. The only difference is the age lines, the deepness in his voice and his hands. His hands are more muscular in the future, here they just look like regular hands.

"Shame." Theo sighs and licks his bottom lip as he eyes down Violet, not caring about what Draco just told him. "Draco won't satisfy you but whatever you think is best."

"Quit bothering her!" Pansy growls and snaps her fingers at Theo. "Get me some chocolate frogs instead and shut up because your voice is annoying me."

Theo rolls his eyes and reaches into his pocket for money before leaving his seat to find the trolly lady for Pansy's chocolate frog. It's weird seeing her friends parents as teenagers. Theo acts exactly like Thomas and Pansy is exactly like Cressida. The only difference in Pansy would be her outfits would not be Cressida approved. Draco, Draco is different than his older version and different than the way Scorpius acts. It's all just so different.

"I need to use the loo." Violet whispers, following an adorable giggle as she places a kiss on Draco's lips and stands up. "That felt weird to kiss you like this. I'll j-just see you when I'm done."

Violet pats his hand and walks away from the table, trying to find a restroom on the train. She holds her fingers to her lips, feeling weird to have kissed Draco who is Draco but isn't Draco at the same time. His lips are just different and it makes her feel like she's cheating or something.

"Ow!" Violet groans when she feels someone step on her foot and she looks up to see a tall boy standing in front of her. He has a Hufflepuff uniform on and his golden hair is neatly put to the side. "Watch where the hell you're walking!"

"Sorry, I'm just trying to find the restroom." He chuckles nervously and holds himself on the railing of a compartment door. "I'm Cedric, Cedric Diggory. I'm new here."

Violet's lips part in shock and she walks away, not caring about using the restroom anymore. Instead, she wants to go scold Draco because she recognized a name that doesn't exist in the future. She stops next to the table and looks down at Draco with this angry twitch in her chin as she grips the edge of the table.

She holds in her rage and takes a seat beside Draco who is staring at her with confusion. He brought her to the year of Tri-Wizard tournament, the Yule Ball, and the year Cedric Diggory died. How is she supposed to sit here when she knows everything that is going to happen to that poor boy and she can't do anything about it. She's practically sitting by and witnessing murder. What is she supposed to do now?
