I didn't think things would take such a bad turn.
I didn't think anything would happen at all.

It started out as an ordinary weekend sleepover. Lucy and Willow showed up at my house in the late afternoon.
My parents are out of Sierra for the weekend, and our house is huge. I didn't want to be left alone, so I invited my friends over.
We did ordinary teenage girl stuff. We talked and gossiped, we ate junk food that we knew would go straight to our hips, we drank, we laughed and then we opened up the can of worms that is Sienna Franklin.

"No one even says her name. I can't believe we live in a town where everyone is convinced that a dead girl wants to kill their kids." Lucy had said as the sun began to set.

Willow, Lucy and I were hanging out in the living room.

Two kids had turned up dead three weeks ago in a shack in the woods.
They weren't the first ones.

Everyone in this dreadful town has a theory about Sienna Franklin.

Some people believe that she goes around killing kids for fun.

Some people believe that she still roams the town, because she's searching for peace.

Some people don't believe in her at all.

The worst theory I have ever heard is my dad's.
Dad believes that Sienna Franklin isn't actually dead at all.
She's like, a zombie type of entity.

The biggest theory is -and probably always will be- that Sienna Franklin's body was used to create a tokoloshe and something went horribly wrong, causing her to become the creature that she is.
Neither tokoloshe, neither dead and neither alive.

I was so sick of hearing about everyone's opinion about a dead girl from thirty five years ago, so I took matters into my own hands.

"We should summon her and ask her about the truth." I had said.
I had already started drinking a little, so I guess I had some liquid courage.
In hindsight, it was a terrible suggestion.

"That's an awful idea." Willow had said immediately.

"It sounds kind of fun." Lucy grinned.

I could always count on Lucy to help me cause trouble.

"I really think that somethings are better left alone." Willow had insisted.

"I dare you to!" I had giggled mischievously.
I've lived in Sierra all my life and I've never said her name.
My parents forbid me from ever saying it.

"Do it, Willow." Lucy had smirked.

Willow is easy enough to manipulate.
Both Lucy and I know how insecure she is.

"I'll be right back." Willow had said as she sat up and made her way to the bathroom.

Lucy and I giggled at each other.
We were both thinking the same thing.
Willow is too easy to trick.

"You think she's gonna do it?" Lucy asked me.

"She doesn't have a choice." I smirked.

A moment later, Willow returned with a brave face.

"Let's do it." Willow said.

Lucy and I were ready. We scrambled to find a page of paper and two pencils. We were going to do it Charlie, Charlie style.

Willow was drinking wine at an alarming speed while we drew up the diagram.
Her black hair was pulled back into a messy braid and a few strands of her hair had escaped and ended up swirling around in her glass.
I don't think she even noticed it.

"Let's get started." Lucy had smiled

Once the diagram had been drawn up, we all held hands.
I was beginning to feel unsettled, but I was in it already.
I couldn't pull out at that point.

"Are you there, Sienna Franklin?" I asked. The trembling in my voice betrayed my true feelings.

The pencil had moved by itself, pointing to a yes.

Suddenly, the entire house went dark.

I screamed and jumped up.
It was just a power failure.

"This sucks!" Lucy had sighed as we all went off into the kitchen in search for candles.

I was so frightened that my hands shook uncontrollably as I lit a candle.

Mom believed in being prepared for anything and everything, so our kitchen was always stocked up with ridiculous things that we'd never need. Candles being one of those things. Five liters of lemon juice being another one of those things.

"Put this in the bathroom, will you?" I told Lucy, holding the red candle out to her.

"Yeah, alright." Lucy had shrugged as she took the candle from me.

I lit a few more candles, some for the kitchen, some for the living room and some for my bedroom in the event that we needed to go there. I didn't need to light any for upstairs, since we wouldn't be going up there.

"How's it going with Tim?" I asked Willow. Tim is Willow's crush and my favorite pass time is making fun of it.

"It's not going and you know it." Willow had said flatly.

Before I had the opportunity to make more fun of Willow, we heard Lucy shriek.

Shrieking wasn't abnormal behavior for Lucy, but this wasn't the kind of shriek she let out when there was a sale at Cotton On. This was a shriek of fear.

Willow and I frowned at each other before we ran out of the kitchen and into the dark dinning room.

"I saw something, you guys!" Lucy had yelled hysterically.

I didn't need to ask her what she saw, because I already had a small voice in the back of my mind telling me what it was.

"You're messing with us." I had shook my head at Lucy.

I was in denial.

"I saw her!" Lucy said as she practically threw herself into Willow's arms.

"It's just your mind playing tricks on you, Lucy." I said.

We took Lucy into the kitchen to try and calm her down.

She was really freaked out.

"Tell us what you saw." Willow said calmingly.

"I saw a woman. She had black hair and she was wearing a dirty, white shirt." Lucy started crying like a child who had bumped its leg against a table.

"Stop it, Lucy!" I had yelled, turning my back on my friends.

"Sienna Franklin is a myth." I felt anger bubble deep within side of my soul.

I guess the legends were true.
Saying Sienna's name does summon her.
She appears in the kitchen at that exact moment.
