After few days...

Sana was leaving from her school with a pale face when she noticed two girls walking keeping their hands on each other's shoulders. They were giggling together and Sana's eyes became teary seeing them. She remembered her and Navya's friendship. She didn't know where she was, they couldn't find her yet. But she couldn't give up easily, she had to find her bestfriend at any cost.

Sana's thoughts broke by the message notification on her phone. She saw the message and immediately wiped off her tears.

"Main haar nahi maanungi. Main tujhe dhund nikalungi Navya, chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye." Said Sana in her mind and left with her scooty.

She reached the place and saw Sidharth standing there with his bike. She walked towards him.

"Sana, Navya ke phone se ek important information mili hai." Said Sidharth showing her the phone.

"Navya ka mymatch naam ke kisi dating app pe profile tha. Waha maine uske chats padhe. Pichle ek der mahine se Killer_x_046 naam ke ek profile se woh bohut baatein kar rahi thi. Unke conversations padh ke pata chala ki ladke ka naam Aarav hai jo ki most probably fake hai, dono relationship mein the and yeh rahe unke chats and kuch voice messages."

Sana saw the chats and it didn't take time for her to understand how he trapped Navya and other girls in his fake love. Also she heard the voice messages and found the voice very familiar but she couldn't recognise it.

"Yeh last message dekho.... Iss se pata chalta hai ki jis raat Navya gayab hui thi uss raat unn dono ki pehli date thi...."

As Sidharth said this, Sana closed her eyes as her fear was true. Navya actually got kidnapped like other girls.

Seeing her face, Sidharth immediately said, "But tum fikar mat karo. Hum Navya ko aur baki ladkiyon ko iss baar bacha lenge. Itna bada clue hai humare paas. I'm sure iss profile ne uske saath saath baki bohut ladkiyon ko apne pyaar ke jaal mein fasaya hai. Iss tak pohuch gaye na toh yeh saara khel khatam ho jaayega."

"Lekin hum iss tak pohuchunge kaise?"

"Navya ka call record maine nikala hai. Ek number se usko bohut calls aaye hai but woh number filhaal not reachable hai. We are trying to track that. Paata lagane ki koshish kar rahe hai ki woh sim kiske naam pe tha. Lekin saath hi saath ek aur number se bhi Navya ne baat kiyi thi, woh bhi sirf ek do baar. Usne iss number ko Ma'am kar ke save kiya tha but yeh bhi filhaal not reachable hai."

"Ma'am?" Asked Sana being confused.

"Tum jaanti ho woh kaun ho sakti hai? Tumhare school ki koi teacher or something...."

"I have no idea. Lekin Navya humari teacher ko kyu call karegi woh bhi uske dusre phone se jo woh apne boyfriend se baat karne ke liye use karti thi? Yaaha pe mamla kuch aur hi lagta hai. Ho sakta hai yeh Ma'am koi aur ho."

"Sana main puri koshish kar raha hoon iss baare mein pata lagane ki. Haan thodi problem ho rahi hai kyu ki iss baar maine apni team ko nahi baataya iss clue ke baare mein. Kyu ki jo culprit iske piche hai usko humesha humare next step ke baare mein pata chal jaata hai. Isliye Navya ke parents ko sirf FIR lodge karne ke liye kaha hai. Baki investigation hum khud karenge. Yeh ladka, yeh Ma'am aur jo bhi iske saath related hai, woh log bach ke nahi jaane chahiye."

Sana smiled slightly and nodded in yes. Seeing her so sad, Sidharth softly held her hands and asked, "Are you okay?"

"Guilty feel ho raha hai Sidharth. Navya meri bestfriend hai aur uske life mein itne dino se kya chal raha tha mujhe uss baat ka kuch pata hi nahi. Agar paata hota toh main usko rok sakti thi. Main apne aap mein itna kho gayi thi ki....."

Sana stopped and Sidharth noticed tears flowing from her eyes.

He sighed and said, "Idhar dekho."

He made her turn towards himself and wiped her tears.

"Sana iss mein tumhari koi galti nahi hai. Iss mein galti unn logo ki hai jo tumhari umar ke ladkiyon ki masoomiyat ka fayda utha ke unko fasa rahe hai. Aur unko iski saza milegi. Tum bas apna khayal rakhna. Thik hai?"

Sana nodded and Sidharth kissed her forehead.

"I think tumhe ab ghar jaana chahiye. Tum akeli jaaogi yaa main chhor du?" He asked further.

"Main scooty leke aayi hoon toh khud chali jaaungi. Waise bhi mujhe darr darr ke jeena nahi aata. Koi problem hui toh... Aap ka number hai hi."

Sidharth smiled and said, "Yeah. Bas ek call kar lena, I'll be there for you."

Sana smiled hearing that and left from there with her scooty.

Reaching home, she direct went to her room and started thinking about
the guy on the dating app and the number whom Navya saved as Ma'am.

Suddenly something striked in Sana's mind.

"Kahi yeh Ma'am woh hi toh nahi? Lekin unka inn sab se kya connection ho sakta hai? Par Navya unse hi close thi.... Sayad woh kisi tarah se inn sab se judi ho.... Paata lagana hoga kal." She said to herself.

Next Day...

After school, Sana went to her dance academy. As soon as she entered, Anuradha Ma'am's eyes fell on her.

"Arrey Shehnaaz tum? Aaj toh tumhara class nahi hai? Aur last class mein aayi kyu nahi?" Asked Anuradha Ma'am softly.

"Ma'am woh....."

Before she could reply, Anuradha Ma'am went to her and said, "Sayad main jaanti hoon. Navya ke liye na? Suna hai uske baare mein. Tumhari sabse acchi dost hai woh aur uske saath... Paata nahi Delhi mein kya ho raha hai aaj kaal. Fikar mat karo, woh mil jaayegi."

Sana smiled hearing her positive words.

"Tum ek kaam karo, inn sab ke saath hi practice suru karo. Waise toh yeh log saamne jo inter-state dance competition hai uske liye practice kar rahi hai lekin abhi ke liye tum inko join kar sakti ho."

Saying that, Anuradha Ma'am went to her place while Sana also took her position.

"Sayad main hi galat thi. Anuradha Ma'am nahi ho sakti inn sab ke piche. Kar diya hoga kabhi call uss phone se Navya ne. Aur ek aurat hoke Anuradha Ma'am yeh sab nahi kar sakti." Said Sana in her mind.

After practising, Anuradha Ma'am said, "Bohut badhiya girls. Toh iss Sunday hum sab Jaipur jaa rahe hai. Subah ki train hai, sab taiyar ho na?"

All the girls nodded excitedly except Sana.

"Very good. So you can leave now." She said further.

Sana was about to leave with other girls when suddenly she heard a music and turned back being shocked. She saw Anuradha Ma'am playing her gramophone.

"Kya hua Shehnaaz? Tum abhi tak gayi nahi?" Asked Anuradha Ma'am seeing Sana standing still.

"Yeh music...."

"Accha yeh? Main ghar mein jab akeli hoti hu toh iss gramophone mein classical music play karti hoon. Aur yeh tune toh mujhe sabse zyada pasand hai. Tum ruk ke sun na chahogi thodi der?"

Sana looked at Anuradha Ma'am with disbelief and then said, "Nahi mujhe... jaan hoga abhi.... Chalti hoon Ma'am..."

Sana immediately left from there but the tune didn't go away from her mind.

On the way to her home, Sana called Sidharth.

"Sidharth mujhe tumse kuch bohut hi zaroori baat karni hai... Tumhe paata hai..."

Before she could complete, Sidharth said, "Sana main abhi baat nahi kar sakta. Yaaha pe humein dead body mili hai....Navya ki..."

Hearing Sidharth's words, Sana became numb.

After sometime...

Shehnaaz reached the spot hurriedly and saw Navya's deady body lying beside a river. The police were investigating it and Navya's parents had reached the spot by then and were crying loudly seeing their daughter's dead body.

There were several injuries on the her face and body. Seeing her bestfriend like this, Shehnaaz closed her mouth to control her sobs.

"Shehnaaz!" Uttered Sidharth seeing her there and went to her.

"Tum kyu aayi idhar? Maine maana kiya tha na? Tumhe nahi aana chahiye tha." He said knowing how she was feeling after seeing all this. He himself was feeling like a failure for not being able to save Navya.

"Yeh.... Yeh sab.... Kya hua Sidharth?.... Navya iss halat mein.... Yeh nahi ho sakta....."

Sana was too shocked to believe her eyes meanwhile Sidharth tried to calm her.

"Sana khud ko sambhalo.... Humein nahi paata tha aisa hoga. Aaj tak jitni bhi ladkiya gayab hui hai unn mein se ek ki bhi aise dead body nahi mili. Sayad Navya ne bhagne ki koshish kiyi thi aur usko pakadte waqt.... unn logo ne usse.... maar diya. Navya ki maut head injury se hui hai. Aur sirf itna hi nahi, uske baad uska.....ra....rape bhi kiya gaya taa ki yeh ek rape case jaisa dikhe.... Sirf humein pata hai ki.... Jaisa dikh raha, yeh waisa nahi hai....... I'm sorry Sana, I couldn't save her."

Sana shivered in fear hearing about the dreadful incident that happened with her bestfriend. She was shattered as never in her scariest nightmare she thought something would happen like this. Sidharth knew her situation would be worse if he stayed there longer. So he instructed his constables to drop Sana home as he himself couldn't leave right then.

Later that night...

Sana was scrolling her phone and seeing the photos of her and Navya. After coming home, she didn't eat or drink anything. She was crying badly remembering their old days. She was her only bestfriend. They both were always there for each other. But when she was killed so brutally, she couldn't do anything for her.

"Kyu hum ladkiyon ke saath humesha aisa hota hai? Pyaar karna toh koi gunah nahi hai. Aur apne sacche pyaar ko dhund ne ke liye koi ladki dating app pe profile bana hi sakti hai. Lekin iska yeh matlab nahi ki usko iss tarah se fasaya jaaye, yeh anjaam ho uska." She said in her mind while crying.

Suddenly she thought something and wiped her tears.

"Nahi. Yeh aise baith ke rone ka waqt nahi hai. Mujhe Navya ko justice dilani hogi. Unn saari ladkiyon ko bachana hoga jo ab tak unke qaid mein hai. Agar mera shaq sahi hua toh.... Mere paas sirf Sunday tak ka waqt hai. Maybe I know mujhe kya karna chahiye."

Thinking that, Sana installed the dating app in her phone. She created a fake profile and send a 'Hi' to the profile Killer_x_046.

"This time the trap will be mine." She said to herself.

On the other hand, a guy was standing in a dark room with his head down while a woman was scolding him.

"Uss ladki ko maarne ki kya zaroorat thi? Humein saari ladkiyan zinda chahiye. Mari hui nahi." Yelled the woman.

"Uss din pure seher mein police thi isliye humne long route liya tha. Upar se humari gadi bhi raaste mein kharab hogayi. Uss hi waqt uss ladki ko hosh aa gaya aur usne bhagne ki koshish kiyi. Hum usse pakadne ki koshish kar rahe lekin hata payi karte waqt pata nahi chala kab patthar pe uska sir takra gaya aur woh marr gayi... Main koshish kar raha hoon ki iss Sunday se pehle humein ek aur ladki mil jaaye." Replied the guy.

"Dekh main kuch nahi jaanti. Upar se order hai ki hum apne yaaha se 30 ladki ki delivery denge. 15 mein le jaa rahi hoon aur 14 ko tune pakda hai. 1 aur baki hai usse kahi se bhi leke aa.... bas zinda honi chahiye." Said the woman to which the guy nodded.

After sometime the guy took a phone and suddenly his face brightened seeing something.

Meanwhile Sana was waiting for the reply when she recieved a notification on phone.

'Hello'

She clenched her jaw reading the message and started typing.

Few days passed like this. Sana rarely used to come out her room. She didn't even go to school. Her parents thought that it was because of Navya's death and they didn't force her as well.

On the other hand, Sidharth also tried to call Sana being concerned about her but she didn't pick up. He was worried for her and was also blaming himself for not being able to save Navya. He was working hard day and night to find other girls.

One day, Sidharth was working when Preeti came to him with a plate of food.

"Bhaiya aur kitna kaam karoge? Kuch khaa lo." Said Preeti.

"Mujhe bhukh nahi hai. Aur bohut saara kaam bhi hai. Tu jaa main baad mein kha lunga." Said Sidharth without looking at her.

"Bhaiya main sab jaanti hoon. Jab se uss ladki ki maut hui hai, aap khud ko uska zinmedar maan rahe ho. Par aisa nahi hai. Aap inn sab ke zinmedar nahi ho."

Sidharth looked at Preeti and said, "Kya meri sach mein koi zimmedari nahi hai? Main ek police officer hoon. Yeh meri zinmedari hai apne aas paas ke logo ko protect karna. Par main kuch nahi kar paa raha. Woh ladka ek ke baad ek ladkiyon ko utha ke le jaa raha hai, ek ko maar tak diya, uska rape kiya aur main abhi tak usse pakad bhi nahi paaya. Mujhe abhi tak apni bahaduri ke liye itne awards mile hai but now I think, do I even worth it? Mujhe toh abhi lag raha hai main sayad tujhe bhi protect nahi kar sakta."

Preeti smiled hearing that and said, "Kisne kaha Bhaiya? Aap ko sayad pata nahi par mujhe proud hai aap pe. Mujhe bakiyon ki tarah sadak pe akele nikalne se darr nahi lagta kyu ki mujhe pata hai mera Bhai mujhe protect kar lega. Aap mere hero ho Bhaiya aur agar aap yeh case nahi bhi solve kar paaye, jo ki aap kar loge mujhe paata hai..... Phir bhi aap mere hero hi rahoge."

Sidharth smiled sadly and said, "Par sayad kisi aur ki nazron mein main ab hero nahi raha. Sana ne bohut trust kiya tha mujhpe, socha tha main uski bestfriend ko bacha lunga par main nahi bacha paaya. Sayad isliye woh mere calls bhi nahi utha rahi. Uska bharosa uth chuka hai mujhse."

"Mujhe paata hai aap ko bura lag raha hai kyu ki uske muskil waqt mein aap uske saath hona chahte ho, kyu ki.... Aap uss se pyaar karte ho."

Hearing that, Sidharth immediately looked at Preeti being shocked.

"Preeti main..."

"I know abhi aap sau jhuth bologe, par main sach jaanti hoon. Aur mujhe yeh bhi paata hai ki Sana ka aap se bharosa kabhi nahi uth sakta. Kyu ki woh bhi aap se bohut zyada pyaar karti hai. Sayad woh abhi tak apne sadme se nikal nahi paayi. Ek kaam karte hai, kal hum dono uske ghar chalke uss se mil lete hai."

"Nahi Preeti. Sirf tu jaa." Said Sidharth. "Main ab Sana se sirf tabhi milunga jab main yeh case solve kar lunga."

Preeti was about to say something when Sidharth's phone rang. It was from Sana's mother.

"Parminder Aunty itni raat ko kyu call kar rahi hai?" Thought Sidharth and received the call.

"Haan Aunty boliye." He said.

"Sidharth beta.... Sana.... Sana abhi tak ghar nahi aayi." Said Parminder Ji almost crying.

"Kya?" Sidharth was both shocked and scared.

"Woh shaam ko tution pe gayi thi. Ab tak toh wapas aa jaati hai par nahi aayi. Phone bhi nahi utha rahi. Jo hadsa uski saheli ke saath hua uske baad... Mujhe bohut darr lag raha hai."

"Aunty relax, main abhi kuch karta hoon."

Sidharth hanged up and started panicking.

"Sana kaha jaa sakti hai? Usko toh sab kuch paata hai already toh phir.... I have to go...."

Sidharth was about to leave when he got a message on his phone. It was from Sana.

Sidharth froze at his place when he read Sana's message. He felt that his breath stopped.
