Three months passed after their marriage. Sid and Shehnaaz were living happily. Sid had taken the responsibility of his family business while Shehnaaz was continuing her college. It was her final year and she was studying very hard.

One day, she was walking in the college corridor when suddenly she met her mother in the way.

"Shehnaaz! Accha hua tu mil gayi. Hum tujhe hi dhund rahe the. Kuch dino se itne busy the na hum ki tujhse acche se baat hi nahi ho paayi." Said Mariyam Ji.

"Ammi hum bhi yeh hi soch rahe the ki lunch break pe aap se ek baar mil lenge." Said Shehnaaz. "Kaisi hai aap?"

"Hum toh thik hai. Tu apna baata. Tu khush hai na? Waha sasural mein sab tera khayal toh rakh rahe hai na?"

"Haan Ammi hum bohut khush hai. Pehle pehle adjust karne mein thodi problem ho rahi thi. Par abhi sab thik hai. Aur humare sasural mein sab hi bohut acche hai."

"Aur Sid?"

Shehnaaz smiled and said, "Woh toh humein apni jaan se bhi zyada pyaar karte hai."

Mariyam Ji was relieved hearing that her daughter was happy.

"Accha aap yeh baatao, Nagma Khala kaisi hai?" Asked Shehnaaz suddenly. "Aur Nusrat Di? Woh abhi thik hai na?"

"Nagma toh pehle jaisi hi hai par Nusrat kaafi badal gayi hai. Woh aaj kaal humse utna baat nahi karti, sayad gussa hai. Nagma toh kehti hai woh apne ghar mein bhi bohut chup chap si rehti hai. Woh soch rahe the Nusrat ke liye ladka dekhne ki par filhaal Nusrat Nikah nahi karna chahti. Woh apne liye job dhund rahi hai." Replied Mariyam Ji.

"Yeh toh acchi baat hai. I hope waqt ke saath saath unki narazgi bhi dur ho jaaye."

"Thoda waqt toh lagta hai. Par ho jayegi."

Mariyam Ji paused for a while and then asked, "Teri padhai kaisi chal rahi hai waise?"

"Thik thak."

"Thik thak se nahi chalega. Final year hai tera. Acche number laane honge. Tab hi toh acchi job milegi."

Shehnaaz smiled slightly and nodded in yes.

"Waise tere sasural wale college ke baad tujhe job toh karne denge na?" Asked Mariyam Ji further.

"Haan Ammi. Aap ne Nikah se pehle baat kiyi thi na unse? Aur woh log maan bhi gaye the. Isliye aap khamkha tension mat lo."

"Ammi hai hum teri. Tension hoti rehti hai. Jab tu Ammi banegi na tab samjhegi." Said Mariyam Ji to which Shehnaaz chuckled.

"Accha hum chalte hai. Humare lecture ka waqt ho raha hai. Aur tujhe bhi toh classes attend karni hongi."

"Arrey haan. Hum sayad late ho gaye. Bye Ammi!"

Saying that, Shehnaaz went to her class.

At Lunch break...

Shehnaaz was sitting in the classroom with her friends and they were chatting. Shehnaaz was telling them how she got married to Sid.

"Toh aise hua hum dono ka Nikah. Bas aaj baata diya, ab phir se mat puchna." Said Shehnaaz finishing her story.

"Yaar kitna romantic hai! Chahe jitni baar sun lo, mann nahi bharta."

"Haan. Isse kehte hai true love story."

Said Shehnaaz's friends making her smile.

Suddenly one of her friends asked, "Accha Shehnaaz ek baat baata. Sid Jija Ji tere pehla pyaar hai na?"

Shehnaaz blushed and said nodding in yes, "Haan. Woh humare pehle pyaar hai aur hum unke."

"Really? I can't believe this. Unhone yeh kaha tujhse? Tu sach mein unka pehla pyaar hai?" Asked her friend excitedly.

Shehnaaz's expression changed hearing that. She thought for a while and said, "Waise unhone kaha toh nahi...."

"Toh phir tujhe kaise paata ki tu unka pehla pyaar hai?"

"Par unhone yeh kaha tha ki unko hum se pehli nazar wala mohabbat hua hai."

One of her friends rolled her eyes and said, "Love at first sight ka matlab first love nahi hota stupid."

Shehnaaz became confused hearing that.

"Mujhe toh lagta hai USA mein Jija Ji ki kam se kam do teen girlfriends toh definitely rahi hongi. Itna handsome banda kabhi kisi ko date na kare aisa ho sakta hai? Especially jab ladki foreigner ho."

Shehnaaz started imagining Sid with foreigner girls.

"Bilkool nahi!" She almost screamed making her friends scared.

"Kuch bhi bolte ho tum log. Yeh possible hi nahi hai. Agar aisa kuch hota toh Sid humse kyu chhupate?"

"Tu inn ladko ko jaanti nahi hai. Chahe kitne bhi acche aur loyal kyu na ho, ex ke baare mein puchho na toh fatt jaati hai inki." Said one of her friends.

"Tu zara Jija ji se puchh na unki kisi ex ke baare mein. Dekhna tote udd jaayenge unke."

Saying that, her friends started laughing leaving Shehnaaz in deep thoughts.

After college...

Shehnaaz and Rihana were returning home by car. Rihana was saying something while Shehnaaz was still thinking about her friends' words.

"Pehle kitna accha tha. Hum apne friends ke saath college aate jaate the. Par jab se aap aayi hai, gharwalon ne car bhejna suru kar diya. Humne kitna request kiya ki aap bhi hum sab ke saath aa jaa sakti hai, college ke paas hi toh hai humara ghar. Par nahi. Ghar ki Bahu paidal nahi chalegi. Woh car se college jaayegi aur car se hi aayegi. Ajeeb hi logic hai inka. Sahi kaha na Bha....."

Rihana stopped noticing that Shehnaaz was not hearing anything. She jerked her shoulder a little which broke her thoughts.

"Kya soch rahi hai aap Bhabhi jaan?" Asked Rihana.

Shehnaaz kept silent for sometime and then asked, "Accha Rihana hum tumse ek baat pucche?"

"Haan puchhiye."

"Tum toh apne Bhai jaan ke kaafi close ho."

"Haan hai, toh?"

"Toh tumhe paata hoga Sid ki zindagi mein kabhi koi ladki rahi hai yaa nahi."

"Rahi hai na." Said Rihana immediately.

Shehnaaz widened her eyes and asked, "Kaun?"

"Aap."

Shehnaaz sighed hearing the reply and then said, "Hum apni baat nahi kar rahe hai. Hum se pehle koi thi kya?"

Rihana understood the matter and said teasingly, "So you want to know about his ex girlfriend."

Shehnaaz didn't reply.

"Bhai jab school mein the, tab humari age bohut kam thi. Toh agar school mein koi rahi hogi toh woh humein toh nahi baatayenge. Phir woh further studies ke liye USA chale gaye. Waha pe ho sakti hai unki koi girlfriend rahi ho par unhone humein nahi baataya. So basically, I don't know. You better ask him. Call lagau unhe?"

"Arrey nahi nahi!" Said Shehnaaz stopping her. "Hum toh bas aise hi puch rahe the."

Rihana smiled and said, "Bhabhi jaan, don't worry. Bhai jaan ki koi ex-girlfriend thi yaa nahi yeh toh humein nahi paata par itna zaroor paata hai ki unke present aur future aap hi ho. Iss baat pe koi doubt hi nahi hai."

Shehnaaz also smiled hearing that.

At Night...

Sitting on the bed, Sid was doing some work in his laptop when Shehnaaz entered the room. She slowly sat beside him. She was waiting for him to finish his work but he was not leaving the laptop.

She couldn't wait anymore and said, "Aur kab tak kaam karenge? Abhi yeh sab chhoriye na. Humara mann ho raha hai aap se baatein karne ka."

Sid chuckled hearing that and said, "Humari Begum ka hukum sar aakhon par."

Saying that, he closed his laptop and kept it aside.

Then he looked at Shehnaaz and asked, "Kya baatein karni hai?"

"Humein na.... Woh asal mein.... humein kuch..... Humein kuch jaan na tha aap ke baare mein." Said Shehnaaz gathering a lot of courage.

"Humare baare mein? Kya?" Asked Sid.

"Woh aap USA mein 12 saal rahe the na?"

"Haan."

"Toh waha aap ke kaafi..... Friends bhi rahe honge?"

"Of course. Sab ke hote hai. I also had a lot of friends."

"Ok then...umm... Then koi aisa friend bhi raha hoga aap ka jo aap ke liye bohut...... Bohut special ho."

Sid smiled hearing that and said, "You know, I had a special friend. Sirf special nahi, bohut hi special friend. Usne USA mein bohut saath diya hai mera."

"Accha? Kya naam hai uska?" Asked Shehnaaz making a sad face.

"John." Said Sid clearing her confusion. "Bohut accha ladka hai. Kisi din video chat pe milwaunga uss se."

Shehnaaz immediately smiled hearing that and said, "Accha woh wala special friend? Nahi hum waise wale special friend ki baat nahi kar rahe the. Hum toh woh dusre wale special friend ki baat kar rahe the."

"Dusre wale special friend?" Asked Sid being puzzled. "Hum samjhe nahi."

"Kaise samjhaye aap ko? Arrey woh.... Woh hota hai na..."

"Kya hota hai?"

Shehnaaz took a deep breath and said in go, "Hum aap ke pehle pyaar ke baare mein puchh rahe the."

Sid looked at her with disbelief and said, "Zara phir se kehna."

"Woh hum jaan na chahte the ki USA mein aap ki koi girlfriend thi yaa nahi. Matlab hogi bhi toh humein koi problem nahi hai. Hum bas yun hi jaan na chahte the. Aap ne kabhi baataya nahi na? Isliye."

"Toh aap yeh jaan na chahti hai ki aap se pehle humein kisi se pyaar hua yaa nahi?" Asked Sid to which Shehnaaz nodded in yes.

"Hua hai." He replied making her shocked.

"S...sach mein?" She asked hoping it to be a lie but Sid nodded in yes breaking her heart.

"Bohut pyaari ladki thi. Aur uski awaz sun ke mere dil ki dhadkanein tez ho jaati thi. Kabhi kabhi uski wajah se toh humara kisi bhi kaam pe mann bhi nahi lagta tha. Hum dono roz. milte the. Hum pura din pagalon ki tarah uske aane ka wait karte the." Said Sid being lost in his thoughts.

"Itna pyaar karte the aap uss se?"

"Hum deewane the uske. Woh bhi bohut bade wale."

Shehnaaz made a sad pout. She cursed herself for asking him about his ex-girlfriend as now she was not being able tolerate him expressing his love for another woman.

Shehnaaz controlled her emotions and asked, "Phir break-up kyu hua?"

"Humara milna bohut kam hogaya. Hum dono college mein jitne close the, business join karne ke baad utne nahi rahe, isliye."

"Accha..... Ek akhri sawal puchhe?" Asked Shehnaaz to which Sid hummed.

"Aap jitna pyaar humse karte hai uss se bhi zyada pyaar karte the kya uss ladki se?"

Sid kept quiet for sometime and then said, "Leave it. Kya fark padhta hai?"

Shehnaaz felt pain thinking that Sid loved the girl more than her that was why he couldn't answer the question.

"Hum bhi kitne bewakoof the ki humein laga hum inke pehle pyaar hai. Yeh toh bohut pehle hi kisi aur Chudhail se dil laga ke baithe hai. Zaroor koi angrezi Chudhail hogi." Said Shehnaaz in her mind.

At Late Night...

Shehnaaz was lying on the bed but she was not being able to sleep thinking about the girl. She was thinking what if her husband still loved that girl.

"Nahi Shehnaaz. Itna bura mat soch. Aisa kuch nahi hai. Shaanti se so jaa." She said to herself.

Suddenly she realised that Sid got up from the bed. She looked beside and saw Sid going towards the balcony.

"Ab inhe kya hua? Dekhna padega." She said in her mind and got up from the bed as well.

She went to the balcony and saw Sid standing. He was smiling continuously looking at the phone and there were earbuds in his both ears.

"Sid!" She called him but he couldn't hear.

"SID!" She called loudly and he looked at her.

He removed his earbuds and asked, "Kya hua?"

"Aap yaaha kya kar rahe hai?" She asked curiously.

Sid smiled and said, "Woh humne aap ko uss ladki ke baare mein baataya tha na? Aaj kaafi dino baad wapas se uski woh meethi si awaz sun rahe hai."

"Usne call kiya aap ko?" Asked Shehnaaz making a shocked face.

"Nahi. Hum ne usse call kiya. Aap ko disturb na ho isliye hum yaaha aa gaye. Aap so jaaiye. Hum aate hai thodi der baad."

Saying that, Sid again put the earbuds and started smiling looking at his phone.

Shehnaaz became very jealous and said in her mind, "Uss Kamini ki himmat kaise hui adhi raat ko humare sohar se phone pe baat karne ki? Waise call toh Sid ne kiya tha... Par woh kaat bhi toh sakti thi. Aur inhe dekho, pehle humare saamne uss ladki ki itni tareef kiyi aur ab humare hi saamne uss se phone pe baat kar rahe hai. Haaye Allah, humari ek dua sun lo. Kaise bhi kar ke inn dono ka pyaar khatam kar do. Aur uss ladki ko na ganja kar do, uske saare daant bhi gira do. Phir usse paata chalega dusre ke sohar pe dore daal ne ka natija."

Thinking that, she left from there making a crying face while Sid noticed it and laughed silently.

Then he again focused on that girl.
