It was the day Shaurya's arrival. Shehnaaz was busy since morning. Her mind was also messed up. It was her first meeting with her son after whole 8 years. Many thoughts were coming to her mind. How will Shaurya react after meeting her? Will she be able to become a good mother in this one week? Will Shaurya like her? She didn't know. But she decided not to keep any lack in welcoming her son.

"Shehnaaz main aa gaya." Said Sidharth coming home with a lot of toys.

"Sab kuch laaye ho na? Toys, cars, video games?" Asked Shehnaaz immediately.

"Haan....."

She didn't let him say and continued, "See Sidharth, I don't know much about his likes and dislikes. Phone pe zyada baat ho paaye uss se pehle hi Param interrupt kar deta tha. So mujhe koi chance nahi lena. Aaj kaal ke bacchon ko, especially boys ko jo jo pasand hote hai tum woh sab utha ke laaye ho na?"

Said Shehnaaz in one go and started taking deep breaths.

"Relax Shehnaaz! Main laaya hoon sab." Said Sidharth assuring her.

"Ok then.... Tum inhe uske room mein rakh do.... Aur haan acche se decorate karna.... Yeh wale toys upar ke showcase mein aur yeh wale neeche ke....."

"Shehnaaz!" He shouted making her quiet. "Calm down, okay? Ghar decorate karne ke mamle mein tumse zyada expert hoon main. So let me do it in my way. Tum jaa ke apna kitchen sambhalo."

Shehnaaz paused for a while and then said, "I think you are right."

Saying that, she was going towards the kitchen when she suddenly stopped and said turning back, "Acche se karna please."

Sidharth sighed and nodded his head in disbelief.

He then went to the room given to Shaurya while She became busy in kitchen.

After sometime, Sidharth came to the kitchen and started eating an apple.

Shehnaaz frowned seeing him there and asked, "Hogaya kaam?"

Sidharth casually nodded in yes.

"Itni zaldi?"

"Ek bacche ka room soft toys se decorate karne mein kitna time lagta hai?"

Shehnaaz thought something and went to check the room.

"Arrey kaha jaa rahi ho?" He asked but she had already left.

"Ajeeb hai." He thought and continued eating the apple.

Shehnaaz went to Shaurya's room and saw it carefully.

"Nahi decoration toh sahi hai. Main bekar mein stress le rahi thi." Said Shehnaaz in her mind and then went back to the kitchen.

As soon as she entered the kitchen, her eyes got widened seeing Sidharth adding cheese to the food.

"Sidharth what are you doing?" Asked Shehnaaz loudly snatching the cheese from him.

Sidharth made a confused face and said, "Why are you shouting? I was just adding some cheese to it. Bacchon ko pasand hoti hai na?"

"Sidharth maine tumhe kaal hi baataya tha ki Shaurya ko dairy products se allergy hai."

Sidharth bit his own tongue, "Sorry main bilkool bhul gaya."

Shehnaaz sighed and said, "Sidharth please tum kuch bhi khud se mat karo. Main already bohut puzzled hoon, aur confusion nahi chahiye mujhe."

Saying that, Shehnaaz turned off the gas and kept all the cooked food aside. Then she went to the sofa and sat on it holding her own head.

Sidharth sat beside her and said taking her both hands in his, "Baby why are you taking so much stress? Kaunsa president humare ghar aa rahe hai? It's just Shaurya, your son."

Shehnaaz looked at him and said, "You won't understand Sidharth. It's not easy for me. 8 years, after f*cking 8 years I'll be seeing my son. Aur sirf itna hi nahi. Pura 1 hafta, jab tak Param apne business trip se wapas nahi aa jaata, woh humare saath rehne wala hai. And I don't even know what my son thinks of me. Like usse toh bachpan se sabne yeh hi baataya hoga na ki uski Mumma usse chhor ke chali gayi. What if he thinks me to be selfish? What if he hates me? Main usse face kaise karungi Sidharth?......"

"Shehnaaz tum kya bol rahi ho? Why will he hate you? Phone pe toh baat hoti thi na tumhari uss se? If he hated you, he would refused to talk to you. But did this happen ever?"

"No but.... Phone pe kaha paata chalta hai ek insaan dusre ke baare mein kya sochta hai?"

Sidharth paused for a while and then said giving her assurance, "It's true. But trust me Shehnaaz, everything will be fine. Shaurya ko bhi tumse mil ke utni hi khushi hogi jitni tumhe hogi uss se mil ke."

Shehnaaz smiled hearing that and hugged Sidharth tightly. Suddenly her phone started ringing.

Shehnaaz picked up the call and said, "Hello.... You guys have arrived?.... Ok I'm coming."

She hanged up and said to Sidharth happily, "Shaurya is here."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go." Said Sidharth.

They both entered the lift and started going to the ground floor.

"Are you sure Sidharth? He will like me na?" Asked Shehnaaz for the last time.

Sidharth leaned closer and removed the clip from her hair making them fall till her shoulder.

"Now he will like as you are looking like his hot and gorgeous Mumma." Said Sidharth huskily and winked at her.

Shehnaaz rolled her eyes and said smiling, "Shut up."

Soon they came outside the apartment and saw a car. Suddenly a nine year old boy, came out of the car with his bag. He was none other than Shaurya. He turned to the car and waved bye to the driver who also waved him bye and then left from there.

He then came to Shehnaaz whose eyes already got moist seeing him. She met her son after 8 years and nobody could understand this feeling better than her. She sat on her knees to match Shaurya's level and slowly caressed his cheeks forwarding her hand.

"Mumma." Called Shaurya softly making Shehnaaz feel overwhelmed. She immediately hugged her son and started crying silently.

Shaurya hugged Shehnaaz back with his tiny hands. He was also happy meeting his mother whom he always missed.

Meanwhile, Sidharth smiled watching the mother-son duo reuniting.

After sometime, Shehnaaz broke the hug and kissed Shaurya's whole face.

"Mera baccha... Kaisa hai tu?" Asked Shehnaaz.

"Main thik hoon." Replied Shaurya and asked, "Aap kaise ho?"

"Tujhe dekh liya na? Ab toh first class hoon." She said smiling with teary eyes.

Then Shehnaaz stood up and started wiping her tears.

Sidharth then came towards her and said side-hugging Shehnaaz, "Ro kyu rahi hai meri jaan?"

"Kuch nahi bas... Rona aa gaya." She said smiling.

Shaurya looked at them side-hugging each other and his face grew serious thinking something.

Sidharth then broke the side-hug and said, "Arrey mera introduction toh tune thik se karwaya hi nahi."

He then bent to Shaurya's level and said forwarding his hand, "Hi! I'm Sidharth."

Shaurya didn't shake hands with Sidharth and said sternly, "Hi"

Sidharth's expression changed and he moved his hand.

Then again he smiled and said, "Let's go to our apartment. Kab tak yaaha khade rahenge?"

Shaurya didn't reply to Sidharth and ran towards Shehnaaz and hold her hand with his tiny hand.

"Let's go Mumma." He said to which Shehnaaz nodded.

Sidharth felt little bad with Shaurya's attitude towards him but he smiled forcefully thinking that maybe he just wanted to spend more time with his mother rather than him.

Soon three of them entered the apartment.

"Do you also stay here?" Asked Shaurya seeing Sidharth entering with them.

"Yeah. Why? Any problem?" Asked Sidharth.

"Nothing." Replied Shaurya sadly.

Shehnaaz could sense that Shaurya was not liking Sidharth's presence.

But she smiled and said changing the topic, "Come on Shaurya! Let me show you your room first."

Shaurya nodded happily.

Then Sidharth and Shehnaaz took Shaurya to his room.

A huge smile came to Shaurya's face seeing his room and all the toys present in the room.

"Mumma, yeh sab aap ne kharida hai mere liye?" Asked Shaurya excitedly playing with the toys.

"Nope." Replied Shehnaaz. "Yeh sab Sidharth Uncle ne kharida hai. Do you like them?"

Shaurya's smile faded away hearing that. He kept the toys aside making them confused. Then he took out a book from his bag and started reading sitting on the bed.

Sidharth's face turned sad. Noticing it, Shehnaaz went to him and kept her hand on his shoulder.

"It's ok. Uska abhi khelne ka mann nahi hoga sayad." She said in a low voice to which he nodded in yes smiling slightly.

At Lunch...

"Mumma this is so yummy." Said Shaurya licking his own lips making both Sidharth and Shehnaaz chuckle.

"I'm glad that you like it." Said Shehnaaz.

"I love it." Said Shaurya and Shehnaaz became happy.

"By the way Shaurya, in which class are you studying?" Asked Sidharth while eating.

Shaurya didn't reply.

"Shaurya he asked you something. Tell him." Said Shehnaaz.

"Oh I always forget this." Said Shaurya suddenly. "Papa kehte hai khate khate zyada baat nahi karni chahiye."

Saying that, he continued eating.

Sidharth looked at Shehnaaz who gave him don't worry look.

Sidharth sighed and focused on eating.

At Night...

Sidharth was standing near the window of their bedroom being worried when Shehnaaz suddenly hugged him from behind.

"Kya soch rahe ho?" Asked Shehnaaz kissing his back.

Sidharth removed her hands from his waist and turned towards her.

"I think Shaurya doesn't like me at all." He said sadly.

"Aisa nahi hai Sidharth. He is just a kid." Said Shehnaaz making him understand.

"But still he has understood what our relationship is. Iss hi liye toh mujhe tolerate nahi kar paa raha woh."

"Subah main overthink kar rahi thi aur ab tum kar rahe ho. Aisa kuch nahi hai."

"I don't know. Aur toh aur mujhe yeh sab kuch sahi nahi lag raha. Jis Param ne itne saal tumhe Shaurya se dur rakha, phone pe tum dono ko thik se baat tak karne nahi diya, aaj suddenly business trip ki wajah se ek hafte ke liye Shaurya ko tumhare saath rehne bhej diya? Isn't it strange? Maana uss business trip mein woh Shaurya ko saath nahi le ke jaa sakta but ghar pe uski wife bhi toh hai? And suppose woh bhi busy hai, he could have hired a Nanny? Usse 8 saal baad yeh kaise yaad aa gaya ki Shaurya ki ek Maa bhi hai?"

Shehnaaz paused for sometime and said, "I can understand. Honestly Param ke dimaag mein kya chal raha yeh main nahi jaanti aur naa hi mujhe jaan na hai. I am happy that my son is with me and he had accepted me. Give him some time Sidharth. We know it's not easy but eventually he will accept you too."

"You think so?" Asked Sidharth.

Shehnaaz nodded in yes and said, "Now give me a smile."

Sidharth smiled forcefully which Shehnaaz understood.

"I know how to make you smile." She said and kept her lips on his. She started smooching his lips slowly.

Sidharth smiled in between the kiss and kissed her back wrapping his hands around her waist. They kissed each other passionately.

Then Sidharth carried Shehnaaz to the bed and made love to her.

Later That Night...

Shaurya's sleep broke and he started feeling thirsty. He came to the dining table and took a glass. He poured some water in it and started drinking.

Suddenly his eyes fell on the big tv screen where Sidharth was playing his own game to check it properly.

Shaurya showed some interest in the game and started watching it which Sidharth didn't notice.

Suddenly Sidharth's game was over and Shaurya started giggling seeing it. Hearing the sound, Sidharth removed his airpods and looked at Shaurya frowning.

"Tu yaaha iss waqt kya kar raha hai? And why are you laughing?" He asked to which Shaurya immediately stopped laughing.

"Go back to you room and sleep." Saying that, Sidharth again started playing. But Shaurya didn't move from there and kept watching his game.

After sometime, Sidharth again failed in a level and heard giggling sounds of Shaurya.

"Tujhe itni hasi kyu aa rahi hai?" He asked looking at him.

"Aap itne bade ho gaye ho phir bhi itna easy level cross nahi kar paa rahe? Better hoga, aap mujhe do. Main abhi kar deta hoon." Said Shaurya laughing.

"Beta main na jaan bujh ke out hua hoon kyu ki main iss game ko khel nahi raha, isse check kar raha hoon." Said Sidharth with attitude.

"Matlab?" Asked Shaurya being confused.

"Matlab iss game ko maine banaya hai."

Shaurya was surprised hearing that.

"Aap ko game bana na bhi aata hai?" He asked with wide eyes.

"Aur nahi toh kya? Iss se bhi badhiya badhiya games banaye hai maine. Top level ke games hai sab."

"Can I play this one?" Asked Shaurya pointing towards the game he was playing.

"Yeah you can but.... There is a problem. Actually jab tak mere games launch nahi hote, main unhe apne friends ke alawa kisi ko khelne nahi deta. And you are not my friend. You don't even like me. Isliye tujhe game launch hone tak ka wait karna padega." Said Sidharth intentionally.

Shaurya thought very deeply. Then he went towards Sidharth and said, "Toh main aap se friendship kar leta hoon. Phir main aap ka friend ban jaaunga na?"

"Tu sach mein mujh se friendship karega?" Asked Sidharth raising his eyebrows to which Shaurya nodded in yes.

"Phir haath mila."

Saying that, Sidharth forwarded his hand. Shaurya smiled and shook hands with him.

Sidharth chuckled and said, "Thik hai tu idhar baith jaa. Main tujhe sikha deta hoon yeh game kaise khelte hai."

"Ok Sidharth Uncle." Said Shaurya sitting beside him.

Sidharth immediately made a face and said, "Sidharth Uncle? Eww! Kitna kharab lag raha hai sun ne mein. Main tujhe bulau kya, Shaurya Uncle? Come on! Friends ek dusre ko Uncle thodi bulate hai?"

"You are right." Said Shaurya. "Then we'll call each other Buddy."

Sidharth smiled and said, "Buddy sounds cool."

"Let's start the game Buddy." Said Shaurya.

"Yes Buddy." Said Sidharth.

They started playing the game while having a lot of fun. Shaurya got comfortable around Sidharth and Sidharth became happy with this.

After sometime, Shehnaaz came out of her room and saw them playing. A beautiful smile formed on her face seeing it.
