"Sidharth kya kar rahe ho yaar? Apna haath toh hatao mere aankhon se." Said Shehnaaz while laughing as Sidharth was covering her eyes with his hands.

"Have some patience meri Jaan." Said Sidharth. "Main tumhe kidnap kar ke apne ghar mein nahi le jaa raha. Tumhare ghar ke saamne hi khade hai hum."

"Toh phir mujhe blindfold karne ki kya zaroorat hai?"

"You will get to know soon."

They both stood at Shehnaaz's door.

"Main apna haath hata raha hoon par tum apni aankhein mat kholna." Said Sidharth while removing his hands from her eyes.

He took her apartment keys and started opening the door.

Shehnaaz opened her one eyes when she heard his voice, "No cheating!"

She again closed her eyes while laughing silently.

After opening the door, he hold her one hand and took her inside.

"Now you can open your eyes." Said Sidharth to which Shehnaaz opened her eyes.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she became surprised. Her whole living area was well furnished. Her packed stuffs were not there anymore. Everything was at its place.

Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth with disbelief and said, "Now don't tell me ki yeh sab tumne kiya hai."

"Oh hello! Tumhare apartment ki key mere paas hi thi. Mere alawa aur kaun karega? Waise tum chaho toh thank you bol sakti ho." He said making her smile.

"But tumhe yeh sab karne ki koi zaroorat nahi thi. Yeh messy rahe yaa furnished rahe, kya fark padta hai? Yaaha rehna toh mujhe hai."

"Exactly. Isliye toh yeh zaroori tha. Messy room mein reh ke messy life ko thik karna bohut tough hai. Ab ek dusre ki messy life ko thik karne ki zinmedari hum dono ne liyi hai. Par uss mein abhi time lagega. Isliye socha kyu na room se hi suruwaad kiya jaaye."

Shehnaaz chuckled hearing that and said, "Kamal ki logic lagate ho tum yaar."

"Thanks for the compliment." Said Sidharth bowing down dramatically.

Then Shehnaaz looked at the living area and said, "Saaf safai bhi acchi kar lete ho. Main toh iss mamle mein bohut lazy hoon. Iss hi wajah se toh Param humesha mujh pe gussa...."

Shehnaaz suddenly stopped and her face turned pale.

Sidharth saw her sad face and suddenly said, "Rule no. 1... Jab bhi hum dono ek dusre ke saath rahenge, apne past ka zikar bilkool bhi nahi karenge. Okay?"

"Okay." Replied Shehnaaz smiling. "Aur kuch?"

"Yeah...umm... Maine living area ko toh acche se saaf kar diya hai aur saja bhi diya hai but tumhara bedroom abhi bhi ganda padha hai. Tumhare absence mein tumhare bedroom mein ghusna mujhe sahi nahi laga so I thought tumhare hospital se discharge hone ke baad hum dono ek saath safai kar lenge."

"Kya? Abhi abhi hospital se aaye hue insaan se tum kaam karana chahte ho? How mean!" Said Shehnaaz dramatically.

Sidharth punched her shoulder slightly and said, "Chal be! Bilkool fit hai tu. Kaam pe lag jaa fatafat."

Saying that, Sidharth dragged Shehnaaz with himself.

After sometime...

Sidharth and Shehnaaz cleaned the bedroom together.

After that, he said, "So everything is done. I guess ab mujhe chalna chahiye. Take care of yourself."

He was about to leave when she called, "Sidharth!"

He turned back.

"Woh itna sab kuch tumne kiya.... You must be tired so..... Coffee?" She asked.

"Sure." He replied smiling.

Soon Shehnaaz made two cups of coffee and they started drinking standing at the balcony.

"It's amazing." Said Sidharth taking a sip. "Tumhe paata hai Kavya bhi aisi hi coffee...."

He suddenly stopped when she eyed him.

"Ok sorry. Main apna hi banaya rule bhul gaya. Aage se aisa nahi hoga." Said Sidharth to which Shehnaaz chuckled.

After staying silent for sometime, she said looking at the sunset, "You know Sidharth, nowadays I sometimes feel that.... I shouldn't have returned home that day. Kitna accha hota na agar main tumhari girlfriend ban ne ka offer accept kar ke tumhare saath hi kahi bhag jaati? Meri shaadi bhi cancel ho jaati aur sayad hum dono aise hi kahi pe baith ke sunset ko dekhte hue coffee pee rahe hote. Saath rehte, enjoy karte, life itni complicated bhi nahi hoti."

Sidharth nodded in yes and said, "True. Even I also feel, it wouldn't be that bad. Waise bhi tumhara 11 saal purana version iss latest version se toh better hi tha. You were jolly, fun-loving, daring and even ambitious as well. Ek complete package thi tum, jis pe kisi bhi ladke ka dil aa jaaye."

"Same goes for you. Yaad hai kitne flirty hua karte the tum? Uss raat toh chhoti si mulakat mein kitni baar try maar chuke the mujh pe. Aur abhi dekho, ladkiyon se flirt karna toh dur, unse has ke baat tak nahi karte. Sayad umar ke saath saath ladkiyon ko impress kaise karte hai yeh bhul chuke ho tum. Woh pehle wala charm bhi nahi raha ab tum mein."

"That's not true, okay? Bhale hi main 35 ka hoon but ek baar attitude ke saath look de doon na, school, college ki ladkiyan tak gir jaayengi. Koi charm nahi gaya hai mera. Main try nahi karta woh alag baat hai. Par abhi bhi yun chutki baja ke ladkiyon ko impress kar sakta hoon."

"Really?"

"Of course. Jaise tum ladki ho, right?"

"Kyu tumhe koi doubt hai?"

"No I mean to say.... You are a beautiful, self-dependent, nice girl, jise filhaal kisi mein interest nahi hai, jo kisi ko bhaav nahi deti. Par agar main chahu, toh main tumhe bhi impress kar sakta hoon."

"Accha? Aur woh kaise karoge?"

"Pehle toh.....main tumhe compliment dunga like, 'Hi! You are looking beautiful today'. Phir tum halka sa blush kar ke reply karogi 'Thank you'. Phir main tumse idhar udhar ki baatein karunga. Kuch tumhare baare mein puchunga, kuch apne baare mein baataunga. Aur bilkool last mein main tumse puchunga, 'Kaal tum free ho? Agar ho toh hum saath mein restaurant chal sakte hai.'. Tab tak tum mere charm se puri tarah impressed ho chuki hogi aur mere khayal se naa toh bilkool nahi keh paaogi.... So tell me, will you really say no?"

Shehnaaz thought for a while and then asked, "Date ke liye puchhne ka tarika thoda casual nahi tha?"

Sidharth failed to hide it anymore and said smiling, "You got me right. I want to take you out for a date. So are you free tomorrow?"

"Nahi actually mujhe office jaana hai...."

Sidharth's face fell hearing that.

Shehnaaz smiled noticing that and said further, "Par sayad raat tak main free ho jaaungi. So if you are asking for a dinner date then... I'm in."

A huge smile came to Sidharth's face hearing.

"Thank you..... No I mean..... Cool then. Kaal 9 baje main tumhe lene aa jaaunga. Tum taiyar rehna." He said while trying to control his excitement to which she nodded while smiling.

No matter how much they tried to hide it, but the truth was they both were excited from inside. They both were feeling like some teenagers who were going to their first date. The whole night they kept thinking about it.

Next Day...

Shehnaaz returned home early and got ready for the date. She wore a beautiful red gown and did nude make-up on her face.

After getting ready, she started waiting for Sidharth while looking at the clock.

Exactly at 9 p.m., her doorbell rang. She again checked herself in the mirror and then hurriedly opened the door. Sidharth was standing holding a bouquet in front of his own face.

"This is for you, my lady." Said Sidharth giving the bouquet like a gentleman.

"Thank you." Said Shehnaaz recieving the bouquet.

Then Sidharth looked at her carefully. She was looking breathtaking hot in that dress. He became mesmerized seeing her.

Shehnaaz then noticed him admiring her beauty with his intense gaze.

"Kya dekh rahe ho?" She asked breaking his thoughts.

"I was just wondering that... Kya tum sach mein 34 saal ki ho? Tumhe dekh ke koi keh nahi sakta." Said Sidharth.

"Kisne kaha main 34 saal ki hoon?" She leaned closer and whispered, "Today I'm only 23."

"And I'm 24."

Saying that, Sidharth winked making Shehnaaz chuckle.

Then they came outside the apartment and saw a big luxury car waiting for them. Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth with wide eyes.

"Zyada mat socho. Rent pe liya hai. Meri car thodi chhoti hai so I thought aaj ki date ke hisaab se feeki padh jaayegi." Said Sidharth and Shehnaaz nodded her head in disbelief.

They went near the car.

Shehnaaz was about to get inside when Sidharth said, "One second!"

Shehnaaz stopped and Sidharth himself opened the gate for her.

"Here you go." He said and she got inside the car.

Sidharth bent a little, picked the part of her gown which was touching the ground and gave it to her. Shehnaaz smiled blissfully at his gesture.

Sidharth then sat beside her and started driving the car.

Soon they reached their destination.

After coming out of the car, Sidharth again opened the gate for Shehnaaz and forwarded his hand. She kept her hand on his and came out of the car. Then he gave his arm and she wrapped her one hand around his arm and they both entered the restaurant.

Sidharth took Shehnaaz to their table and she became surprised seeing the arrangements.

Sidharth pulled the chair for her like a gentleman and she sat on it. Then he sat on his chair.

From the starting, he was giving her princess treatment and she was loving it. Her smile was not leaving her face even for a single moment.

"I hope you liked all this." Said Sidharth.

Shehnaaz nodded her head negatively and said, "I loved all this. Yeh meri life ka best dinner date hai."

"Woh toh hona hi tha. Akhir tum The Sidharth Shukla ke saath date pe aayi ho." He said with attitude.

"And I'm quite impressed."

"Kaha tha na? Main chahu toh abhi bhi ladkiyon ko yun impress kar sakta hoon." He said to which she chuckled.

Sidharth paused for a while and then said, "Waise sach kahu toh aaj pehli baar main kisi ladki ko impress karne ke liye nahi, usse khush karne ke liye date pe laaya hoon. So.... are you happy Shehnaaz?"

Before she could reply, they both heard some music. They looked at the stage and saw some couples dancing.

"Dance kare?" Asked Shehnaaz immediately.

Sidharth was going to reply when she said, "Wait wait. Thik se puchti hoon."

She stood up, went near him and said forwarding her hand, "Mr. Sidharth Shukla, will you have a dance with me?"

"Sure, Ms. Shehnaaz Gill." Said Sidharth holding her hand and standing up.

They both went to the stage. Shehnaaz saw other couples and tried to do the same but couldn't understand how to start. She felt little awkward to hold Sidharth.

"Tum nervous kyu ho rahi ho?" Asked Sidharth. "Humne pehle bhi saath dance kiya hai."

"Haan lekin woh gaana kaafi alag tha. Aur hum pagalon ki tarah dance kar rahe the. Aise romantic gaane pe.... Tumhare saath.... Thoda ajeeb lag raha hai." Replied Shehnaaz.

Sidharth chuckled hearing that and said, "Come on. Just follow my steps."

Sidharth hold Shehnaaz's one hand and kept it on his shoulder. Then he gently hold her waist and pulled her little closer to himself.

"Look into my eyes." He said huskily and their eyes met. She couldn't understand when he joined his another hand with hers and their bodies started moving in rhythm.

Sidharth's eyes roamed around Shehnaaz's whole face, her innocent eyes, soft pink lips, beautiful smile, perfect jawline. A smile came to his face while admiring her beauty.

He felt an unknown peace and satisfaction as if he had finally found something which he always looked for in his whole life.

Sidharth then swirled Shehnaaz around for a while and pulled her closer. Her back collided with his chest and they both looked at each other in that position.

Sidharth felt something beating against his chest after a long time. He became shocked. Somewhere he knew what was happening to him but he didn't want to admit. He was not ready for this.

Suddenly Shehnaaz realised that they were too close and moved away feeling little embarassed. Sidharth's thoughts broke by this.

"I think our dinner has arrived." Said Shehnaaz to which Sidharth nodded.

They both went towards the table while thinking about the proximity they shared a moment ago.

While having dinner, Shehnaaz kept looking at Sidharth all the time. She smiled thinking about everything he had done for her today.

She remembered how her husband treated her and how he was treating her. There were a lot of differences between the two men.

She didn't realise how quickly time passed with him. After years she was feeling good, or maybe better.... No. It was the best feeling she ever had. She was feeling happy with him.

While entering their own apartments, Shehnaaz suddenly said, "Sidharth!"

"Haan?" Asked Sidharth looking at her.

Shehnaaz stopped as she herself didn't what she was going to say, so she said, "Good night."

"Good night." He said smiling.

They both entered their apartments but they couldn't stop thinking about each other.

After that day, Sidharth and Shehnaaz used to meet everyday. They loved each others' company and slowly they got attached to each other. They worked like medicines for each other which healed them, helped them to overcome their painful past. Meanwhile they themselves didn't realise when they started developing feelings for each other.

Jeevan Dagar mein, Prem Nagar mein

One day, Sidharth was talking to Shehnaaz's photo sitting in his room.

"Paata hai Shehnaaz, jab se tum meri life mein aayi ho na, everything has changed. Matlab... I don't aisa kya hai tum mein lekin... Main jab bhi tumhare saath hota hoon na, ek ajeeb sa sukoon milta hai. Lagta hai yeh hi toh chahiye tha mujhe apni life mein. Chahe woh tumhara hasna ho, tumhara mujhe tease karna ho yaa phir tumhara chikchik karna.... Aaj kaal sab kuch accha lagne laga hai mujhe..... Tum acchi lagne lagi ho mujhe.... bohut... Bohut acchi lagne lagi ho."

Saying that, he smiled.

"Tum sayad soch rahi hogi ki main tumhare saamne yeh sab kyu nahi bol paata. Listen, main darpok nahi hoon. It's just main khud hi nahi samajh paa raha ki yeh feelings kya hai. Kya tum hi meri life ki woh incomplete part ho jiske bina main aaj tak jee raha tha? Soch raha tha main kabhi Kavya se move on nahi kar paaunga par tumhare saath reh ke main yeh kar paa raha hoon. How's this possible? Like... Am I... Am I in love with you?"

Jiski kami thi, kya ye wohi hai

"Maybe I'm." He said after sometime and gave a huge smile.

He looked at her photo and said, "Yes, I love her. She is the one for me."

He kept his phone aside and ran towards her door to tell her about his feelings. At that very moment, she came out and they became face to face. He looked at her with love-filled eyes.

Tu ek pyasa aur ye nadi hai

"Kya hua?" Asked Shehnaaz.

"Woh...." Sidharth was going to say but then stopped himself.

"Kuch nahi." He uttered.

Kaahe nahi isko tu khulke bataye

Though Sidharth realised his love for Shehnaaz, he couldn't gather courage to confess it to her. But with his gestures, he always confessed his love.

On the other hand, Shehnaaz somewhere understood Sidharth's feelings by just seeing his eyes. She knew that he loved her and somewhere she also wanted to reciprocate his love. But still something was stopping her.

One day, they were hanging out together when they stopped near a place where a band was singing and many people were dancing crazily.

"Ho jaaye? Uss raat ki tarah?" Asked Sidharth giving Shehnaaz a chance to live like her old self. She stopped herself for years thinking about others but today she didn't want to stop herself anymore.

Ye zindagi jo, hai naachti toh
Queen bediyon mein, hai tere paaon

Shehnaaz smiled and nodded. They both started dancing crazily with others.

Suddenly someone pushed Shehnaaz by mistake and she lost her balance. But she didn't fall as Sidharth hold her protectively in his arms. They both looked at each other with different emotions.

Preet ki dhun par, naach le pagal

Shehnaaz's hair was falling on her face and Sidharth tucked them behind her ears. Then he softly caressed her cheeks to which she closed her eyes.

Udta agar hai udne do aanchal

Shehnaaz suddenly opened her eyes and looked down. Sidharth also realised what he was doing and left her.

Kaahe koi apne ko aise tarsaaye

They both gave each other forceful smiles and left from there together.

While walking, Sidharth suddenly hold Shehnaaz's hand to which she immediately looked at him. But he didn't leave her hand and hold it more tightly to let her know that he was never going to leave her hand.

Jo hai ankahee, jo hai ansuni

Going back to the apartment, they both entered the lift. Soon the lift reached their floor.

There were two more people in the lift and they left. Shehnaaz was also going to leave when Sidharth grabbed her hand from behind. Shehnaaz's heartbeat increased suddenly.

Sidharth pulled her closer making her gasp. Then he pressed few buttons in the lift and the door got closed.

Sidharth wrapped his hands around her waist. Shehnaaz looked at his eyes only to find him staring at her lips.

Kya paaya nahi tune
Kya dhoond raha hai tu

Soon the minimum distance between their lips got covered as he attached his lips with hers. Slowly he started kissing her lips and she also couldn't help reciprocating.

Shehnaaz locked her hands around his neck and kissed him passionately making him smile in between the kiss. He was certain that she had feelings for him and allowed himself to drown in that moment.

After sometime, they broke the kiss and started breathing heavily. Suddenly Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth being shocked. She touched her lips realising what they had just done.

Mitwa.. Mitwa..

The lift again reached their floor and the door got opened. Shehnaaz immediately left from there without saying anything while he kept looking at her retreating figure.

"She loves me." He uttered and smiled.
