After Sid's work was over, he was leaving from the office when the receptionist gave him the lunchbox.

"Sana yaaha aayi thi? Toh phir mujhse mil ke kyu nahi gayi?" He thought.

Then he opened the the lunchbox and found Rajma Chawal inside it. He smiled and again closed it. Then he left from there taking the lunchbox with him.

At Night...

After having his dinner, Sid called Sana. Seeing Sid's name, Sana immediately picked up.

"Sana woh Ra....."

Sana didn't let him say and said sarcastically, "Arrey Sid! Tune sach mein mujhe call kiya? Mujhe toh laga galti se lag gaya hoga. What a surprise!"

Sid frowned and asked, "Kya hua tujhe? Tu aise kyu baat kar rahi hai?"

"Tu mujhe puch raha hai kya hua? Tujhe kya ho gaya Sid? Jab se Natasha aur tere bich mein sab kuch thik hua hai, tu toh mujhe bhul hi gaya hai. Pehle hum din mein kam se kam do baar toh milte the. Aur ab mujhse milna toh dur, mujhe call karne ke liye bhi tere paas waqt nahi rehta. Din raat sirf Natasha aur Natasha. Yaar maana woh teri girlfriend hai, lekin main bhi toh teri friend hoon? Tujhe aisa nahi lagta ki apne busy schedule mein se thoda sa time tu mujhe bhi de de?" Said Sana venting out all her emotions mixed with anger, pain and hurt.

"Hold on!" Said Sid interrupting her. "Sana tu yeh sab bol rahi hai? Tu khud pura din Arjun ke saath ghumti rehti hai. Arjun kr saath hote waqt toh tujhe meri ek baar bhi yaad nahi aati. Kaal bhi jab main tujhse milne aaya tha, tu Arjun ke saath bahar gayi thi. Mujhe hurt nahi hota kya? But still I'm understanding. Phir tu kyu understand nahi kar sakti?"

"Wow! Matlab ab main tere saath apni feelings bhi share nahi kar sakti? Then you will say that I'm not understanding. Fine! Main kuch nahi bolungi. Tere ko jo karna hai tu kar. Pura time apni uss Natasha ke saath hi reh."

"Haan rahunga. She is my girlfriend. Jaise tu rehti hai har waqt, apne Arjun ke saath. Ab toh tujhe meri zaroorat nahi hai. Toh khamkha iss zaroorat ki dosti ko kyu nibhana? Hai na?"

"Zaroorat ki dosti?" Asked Sana with disbelief and said, "Yeah you are right. Ab hum dono ko hi ek dusre ki aur zaroorat nahi hai. Toh iss zaroorat ki dosti ko yaheen pe khatam karte hai."

Saying that Sana cut the call and threw her phone on the bed. On the other hand, Sid hold his head in frustration. After sometime they both started feeling guilty for fighting with each other. And the reason behind their fight was nothing but their possessiveness for each other which they couldn't understand.

The next day, they both couldn't concentrate on any work. They badly wanted to talk to each other and sort out everything.

In the evening, Sid couldn't hold himself back anymore and went to Sana's house. Sana's mother told him that she was in her room and Sid went there.

Entering her room, he saw that Sana was standing sadly at the balcony. He went and stood beside her.

"I'm sorry." He uttered without looking at her.

She gave him a glance and said, "Me too."

"Tu sach mein dosti khatam toh nahi kar rahi na?" He asked with some fear.

"Tu Pagal hai? Hum gusse mein bohut kuch bol dete hai. I don't mean it. Humari dosti ki suruwaad chahe jis bhi wajah se ho, bohut pakki aur solid dosti hai humari. Aur yeh dosti iss janam mein toh khatam nahi hogi. Agle janam mein dekh lenge." Said Sana making Sid chuckle.

"Lekin ek baat kahu?" She asked further and Sid looked at her. "Kaal gusse mein jo bhi baatein maine tujhe boli, aisa nahi hai ki maine kuch bhi mean nahi kiya. Mujhe genuinely bura feel hua jab maine tujhe aur Natasha ko teri office ke cabin mein dekha. Main yeh soch ke gayi thi ki hum dono saath mein lunch karenge.... But udhar tum dono already saath the.... I don't know why but.... I was hurt."

"I was hurt too." Said Sid suddenly. "Jab main itne dino baad tujhse milne aaya aur yaaha aa ke paata chala ki tu Arjun ke saath bahar gayi hui hai. Nahi laga mujhe accha. Paata hai woh tera boyfriend hai lekin phir bhi main chahta hoon ki teri priority list mein sabse pehle main rahu, naa ki woh Arjun. Maybe I'm sounding very weird but it is what it is."

Sana looked through his eyes and found that he was really hurt. She knew him. He was not that good at expressing his emotions. But today he expressed it to her. And somehow she felt good knowing about his feelings. She smiled thinking that she was not some random friend of him. She was actually very important to him just like he was important to her.

After keeping quiet for a while, Sana said, "Galti sayad hum dono ki hi hai. Jab se unn dono ke saath humara sab kuch thik hua hai, we stopped spending time with each other. Hum apna pura time unn dono ko de rahe hai taa ki woh humse khush rahe...... You know this is the problem. Yeh girlfriends, boyfriends sach mein humari zindagi ka bohut saara time le lete hai. Isliye friends ke saath spend karne ka time hi nahi bachta...... Now what can we do about it?"

Sid thought for a while and said, "Break-up kar lete hai!"

Sana smiled slightly and said, "I'm not in a mood of joking right now."

"But I'm serious."

Sana gave him a shocking expression.

"Do you know what are you saying?" She asked with disbelief. "Jinko paane ke liye humne itna kuch kiya, hum unse break-up kar le? We will be called crazy if we do this."

Sid smiled sadly and said, "Maybe. But life mein kabhi kabhi aise crazy decisions lene chahiye. Phir aage jaa ke koi regret nahi rehta. Just think about it. Humne apni personalities change kiyi, apne looks badle, aur tab jaa ke woh dono humein mile. Yeh toh ek tarah se compromise hi hua nah? Aaj se 10 saal baad jab hum peeche mud ke dekhenge, kya humein yeh soch ke regret nahi hoga ki humne apne aap ke saath compromise kiya? Humne apni life mein do aise insaano ko choose kiya, jo humein, hum jaise hai waise accept hi nahi kar paaye."

Sana started thinking about it. What he was saying was correct. Would she regret it later?

Sana shrugged off her thoughts and said, "Sid tu aise mat soch na? Think positive. Kya paata? Kuch time baad woh humein waise hi accept kar le, jaise hum hai."

"I don't know." Said Sid. "Honestly mujhe nahi paata main ab yeh sab kyu bol raha hoon. Meri love life bohut acchi chal rahi hai. Natasha aur mere bich mein koi problem nahi hai. But still......"

"Something is not feeling right." They said together and chuckled looking at each other.

"Tu sahi hai Sid. Lekin hum break-up nahi kar sakte. Todna har chiz ka solution nahi hota. Samjha?" Said Sana to which Sid smiled and nodded in yes.

Then he said, "Toh phir aap hi koi aur solution baata di jiye, jis se hum dono dost ek saath aur zyada time spend kar paaye."

"Ummm..." Sana thought for a while and said suddenly, "Let's go on a double date."

"Double date? Iss se kya hoga?" Asked Sid.

"Iss se hum chaaro ek group of friends ban jaayenge. Phir bohut saari jagao pe hum chaaro saath mein hangout kar paayenge and me and you will be able to spend more time with each other." Said Sana explaining.

"Ok. You fix the date, time and place. I'll come with Natasha."

"Done."

Saying that they high fived and laughed. While laughing they looked at each other and kept staring for a long time. These moments were exactly what they were missing since some days.

"I missed you yaar."

Saying that Sana gave him a bone-crashing hug putting her all weight on him. Sid lost his balance because of the sudden hug and hold the balcony railings for support.

"I missed you!" She again said whispering and buried her face in his chest.

Sid felt something else. He left the railings and wrapped his hands tightly around her.

"I missed you too." He whispered hugging her so tightly as if he would never let her go away.

For sometime he became carried away by his emotions. He couldn't understand what was happening to him. He was lost in her touch.

They broke the hug but still those feelings were overpowering him. Sid looked at Sana with some different emotions in his eyes. He removed the layer of hair from her face and cupped her face. Sana was looking at him innocently.

He kissed her forehead gently and moved towards her lips. But before he could kiss her, Sana kept her fingers on his lips to stop him.

Sid opened his eyes and realised what he was doing. He left her and moved away feeling embarassed. Sana faced towards the railings and closed her eyes holding the railings.

"Sana I'm sorry...."

She suddenly showed her hand indicating him to stop.

"Please leave." She said calmly.

Sid looked down as he had nothing to say to justify his own actions. He himself didn't know what happened to him at that moment. But one thing he understood that he messed up everything. After sometime he left from there.

As soon as he left, Sana went to her room and sat on the bed. She was struggling to understand her own emotions. What Sid did was wrong. Then why was she not angry at him? Did she want it too? But why? Who was he to her? Friend? Best friend? Or more than that?

While trying to find answers to her questions, Sana remembered their first meet.

Meanwhile Sid was driving his car while thinking about Sana and the closeness they shared few moments ago.

Sana became lost while remembering their beautiful moments. A smile appeared on her face. Those moments were the best moments of her life. She was the happiest whenever he was around her.

Iss kadar hum dono ka milna ek raaz hai

Sid entered his house and switched on the lights. He could see him and Sana running around the sofa. He smiled sadly thinking maybe he lost this precious bond for his own stupidity.

Sana laid down while Sid sat on the sofa. They both started shredding silent tears for each other.

After that, everything changed between Sid and Sana. It became so awkward that they couldn't talk to each other. Sid was feeling ashamed for doing that while Sana was not blaming him but she was trying figure out what she felt for Sid. In these days, they used to miss each other a lot which slowly made both of them realise that they were in love. But yet they were not ready to accept it and thinking that it was some attraction.

One day, Sana was sitting with Arjun but her mind was somewhere else. Suddenly she looked up and saw that Sid was sitting at the place of Arjun. She started smiling being lost in him.

Lena-dena nahi duniya se mera
Bas tujh se kaam hai
Teri ankhiyon ke sheher me
Yaara sab intezaam hai

"Kaha kho gayi?" Asked Arjun breaking Sana's thoughts.

She looked here and there but couldn't find Sid. Her smile faded away and she became sad again.

"Any problem?" Asked Arjun to which Sana nodded in no.

Dono ka hi ek daam hai

One the other hand, Sid was walking with Natasha. He suddenly looked beside and saw Sana at her place. Seeing her, he also smiled feeling happy.

Hona likha tha yunhi jo huaa

"Sid! Sid! Sid!"

Natasha jerked his hand and Sid came out of his imaginations. He looked away to hide his emotions from Natasha. He was missing Sana badly.

Yaa hote hote abhi
Anjaane mein ho gaya

It didn't take more time for Sid to accept his feelings.

One day he opened her photo on his phone and said, "Pyaar ho gaya hai tujhse yaar! Bohut koshish kiyi par nahi rok paaya khud ko. Sorry..."

He started crying and teardrops fell on the phone's screen.

Jo bhi hua, hua ajeeb

Meanwhile, Sana's mother noticed her sadness and decided to talk to her.

She went to her room and sat beside her while she was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realise her presence.

Sana's mother cleared her throat and Sana looked at her.

"Mummy... aap kab aayi?" She asked.

"Abhi thodi der pehle. Lekin tu itni gehri soch mein doobi hui thi ki mujh par tera dhyan hi nahi gaya." Said her mother.

"Aisa kuch nahi hai..... Aap ko kuch kaam tha?"

"Kaam nahi tha. Tujhse kuch puchna tha. Accha tera break-up hogaya kya?"

Sana frowned hearing that and said, "Nahi toh. Aap ko aisa kyu laga?"

Her mother made a sad face and said, "Kuch dino se tujhe itna sad sad dekh ke mujhe laga ki finally woh shubh ghadi aa gayi jiska main kab se intezar kar rahi thi. Jab tera aur Arjun ka break-up hoga, main upar se tujhe console karungi par andar se awaz niklegi Yahooo!"

Sana chuckled hearing her words.

"Lekin itni acchi kismat hai nahi meri." Said her mother sadly.

Sana nodded her head in disbelief and said, "Mummy aap ko Arjun accha nahi lagta kya? Aap humesha uske baare mein aise hi bolte ho."

"Ladka bura nahi hai..... Lekin humari kabhi utni jami nahi. Jab pehli baar woh humare ghar aaya tha na tab hi paata chal gaya ki humari.....umm....woh kya kehte hai?.... Vibe.... Humari vibe kabhi match nahi hogi. Par phir bhi humne tujhe usko date karne se kabhi roka nahi. Paata hai kyu?"

Sana nodded in no.

"Kyu ki hum sab ko pura yakeen tha ki tum dono zyada din eksaath nahi reh paaoge. Aaj nahi toh kaal, tum dono break-up hona tay hai. Isliye mujhe fikar uss baat ki nahi hai, kisi aur baat ki hai."

"Kis baat ki?" Asked Sana.

Her mother smiled and said, "Dekh Beta, zindagi ke safar mein chalte chalte bohut saare naye rishte bante hai, kuch tut te bhi hai. Lekin unn mein se ek aise rishta hota hai jo uparwala khud bana ke bhejta hai. Kahi aisa na ho ki inn baki rishton ki wajah se, uss rishte ko pehchan ne mein der ho jaaye."

"Mummy aap kis ki baat kar rahi ho?"

"Main Sid ki baat kar rahi hoon." Said her mother making Sana shocked.

She looked away and said, "Mummy please aap bhi Chintu jaisi baatein mat karo."

"Oye! Chintu ko zyada underestimate mat kar. Tujhse zyada samajhdar hai woh."

"Mummy hum bas acche dost hai...." She tried to made her mother believe and herself as well.

"Toh main kaha maana kar rahi hoon? Tujhe jo sahi lage tu kar. Thoda aur waqt bita ke dekh le uss Arjun ke saath. Par uske saath tera koi future nahi hai, main pehle se hi baata rahi hoon. Aur jiske saath hai bas woh insaan chhut na nahi chahiye."

Sana started thinking deeply. Her mother was somewhere right. Maybe she had no future with Arjun. But then whom she had a future with? Was it Sid.

"What am I even thinking? This can't be true." She thought.

"Aur ek baat. Tera paata nahi magar Sid ke saath hum sab ki vibe toh bohut acche se match hoti hai."

Saying that her mother left her room. Sana started fighting with her feelings.

But soon she gave up after realising that he was the one.

"Maybe I love him.... Not maybe.... I actually love him... It's him..."

Thinking that Sana hold her head being both shocked and surprised.

"But it's not right. I'm in a relationship, he is in a relationship..... We can't be together. I need to stop this...... Will I be able to stop loving him?" She again thought.

"No. I can't stop loving her." Thought Sid on the other hand.
