Shehnaaz read his information.

"Hmm name Sidharth shukla, age 28, architectural engineer, work in xyz company" and many more things about him. She get a photos also, she excitedly open the photo but she smile fade away when she saw his photo.

"Ye...ye to itna gora hai aur mein... mein itni sawli nahi nahi be strong shehnaaz rishte ko mana hoga i know koi itna fair ladka meri jesi dusky ladki se kiyu shadi karna chahega" shehnaaz thought in her mind. A long tear escape her eyes.

Sidharth also got message from his mother. He reads the details about her.

"Name Shehnaaz Sharma, Age 26, Software Engineer, are wah ye bhi engineer" he giggle and read more details about her. He scroll down the chat and saw a picture he smile and download it but his smile droped when he look at her picture. Indeed she is beautiful but her color. He was fair and she was dusky.

Sidharth although was a modern and open minded person but people aroud him always told him that he deserve a fair and beautiful wife. His mind was filled with negative thoughts. How can his mother select a dusky girl for him when he is fair enough.

One side his heart say that color won't matter to him but other side his mind say what will his friends and relative say when they saw them together.
He didn't sleep whole night he kept thinking about it. Now he couldn't deny he said yes to his mom.

"Hello sidharth kesa hai beta?"

"Theek hu dad aap batao?".

"Are hum bhi badhiya hai".

"Suniye usse puchiye na shehnaaz kese lagi?" Rita maa said slowly but Sidharth heared it.

"Sidharth tujhe Shehnaaz kesi lagi beta koi problem to nahi hai na" he asked hesitantly.

Sidharth understood their dilemma "ha dad dekha maine photo mujhe koi problem nahi hai".

"Are wah chal bass ab tu jaldi aaja"

Sidharth chuckle on his parents excitement, he know now he don't have any other option he can't sacrifice his parents happiness and main point was that he had no problem with her color he know if his mom select her than there is something special about her otherwise his mom reject girls more than fifty time.

"Sana baccha ladka kesa laga tujhe?"

Her mother asked her in kitchen they prepared breakfast.

"Mumma waise to sidharth ache hai like  qualifications achi hai kamate acha hai but hamara color?"

"Beta zaruri to nahi na ki tere color se Sidharth ko koi problem ho beta rita ne bataya ki sidharth bohot open minded hai usko in cheezo se fark nahi padhta".

"But mumma har kisi ki expectations hoti hai na agar kal ko hamare color ko lekar problem Hui to".

"Sana itna koi bada matter hai nahi jitna tu usko bana rahi hai ab tere papa aur mujhe dekh hum logo me bhi to color differences hai lekin kabhi hume is baat ko lekar problem nahi hua na hi hamara pyaar kam hua to kiu itni tension le rahi hai aur sidharth aa raha hai na diwali par mil kar saari baat clear kar lena aur tere upar koi pressure nahi hai agar chahe to mana kar sakti hai okay".

"Thank you mumma i love you" she hug her mom.

Time passed, now it's Diwali means now they meet eachother face to face. Sidharth flight land on delhi he take taxi for his home. In this time shehnaaz and rita maa make their bond stronger.
Shehnaaz is hell nervous when she got to know about that sidharth come delhi this diwali. She is insecure because of her color. She make herself ready for rejection but in deep down in her heart she start liking sidharth.

"Sana yaad hai na aaj sidharth aur uske ghar waale aa rahe hai diwali party me" her brother shehbaaz said to her.

"Haan baaz pata hai mujhe aur mein na bohot nervous ho rahi hu agar unko mein pasand nahi aai to?"

"Tu tension na le aur meri behen aesi hai jo har kisiko apna bana leti hai to don't worry okay" he hug her.

"Hmm chal jaldi chal late ho raha hai taiyaari karni hai phir taiyaar bhi hona hai hume shaam ko" she said and start preparing dishes in kitchen.

"Sidharth chal uth abhi mat so phir shaam ko tujhe uthana mushkil hoga shaam ko shehnaaz ke ghar jaana hai" his mother said to him.

"Uth jaunga mom yaar please thak gaya hu sone do" he said lazily.

"Are baba to mein kaha mana kar rahi hu bass waha se aakar sona thodi der me nikalenge phir to aalas karega"she said while sitting on his bed. He keep his head on her lap. "Waise tujhe shehnaaz pasand to hai na?".

"Haan mom aur ab to mein aur zayda excited hu usse milne ke liye jitni aap se uski tareef suni hai na meri excitement badh gai hai".

"Chal acha hai ishi baat par ab uth ja mera pyaara baccha"

"Yaar mommm"

In evening, Shukla's are ready to meet Sharma's. Sidharth wear a black kurta with golden work on it. His fair skin give compliment to his kurta. They leave their home. Sidharth heartbeat become high with passing every second.

Other side Shehnaaz is hell nervous. Her mind filled with all the negative thoughts. She get ready in red anarkali dress with golden work on it, she wear big jhumkas with it. Her skin is glowing in the light of diwali. She is looking beautiful as always.

Sidharth and his family enter in her home it was decorated with fairy lights and diya's. Shehnaaz father welcomed them, their are some more relatives present there.

"Namaste uncle" sidharth touch shehnaaz's father feets. But her father stop him and give him a hug.

"Are beta per nahi chute gale lago"

Sidharth smile and greet them.

"Pammi shehnaaz kidhar hai dikh nahi rahi?"

"Haan wo zara bahar mandir hai waha gai thi diya lagane aati hogi".

They all got busy in their talks, sidharth feel bored between them suddenly he got a call from his friend, he come outside to take this call when his eyes notice a figure who distribute the prasad to poor kids. A smile comes on his face. His breathe hitch when she turn She was Shehnaaz. The only word left his mouth is "beautiful".

Shehnaaz didn't notice him she is busy in her own world.

Sidharth come back inside and join other after sometime Shehnaaz also enter in her home.

"Mumma maine diye laga diye hai aur prashad bhi baat diya hai" she said in her melody voice. Suddenly she notice shukla family member's she also notice sidharth who is smiling looking at her. Her heart start beating fastly. She greet them.

"Shehnaaz ye hai Sidharth rita ka beta".

Shehnaaz give him a small smile.

"Are baccho pehli baar mil rahe ho jaao thoda time saath me bitao aage to puri zindagi waise bhi bitani hai" his mother said.

"Shehnaaz sidharth ko chat par le ja waha aaram se baat kar lo"her mother said. Shehnaaz nodded and they both went toward rooftop.

"Aap bethiye na" shehnaaz said to sidharth.

"Haan tum bhi aao na betho" he give her some space. They both are sitting on a swings enjoying the diwali view.

"Wo sidharth" she said softly. He turn toward her and smile Hearing his name.

"Ha bolo na"

"Wo.. aap... mera matlab aap shadi ke liye ready hai?".

"Haan,dekho Shehnaaz shadi to sabko karni hai na maine bhi mom ko ha bol diya tha ek saal pehle aur jabse wo apne bahu dhundho mission par thi but jab tumhe pehli baar dekha to she was sure ki tum hi unki bahu banogi waise tumhare upar koi pressure to nahi hai na?".

"Are nahi nahi mein bhi ready thi shadi ke liye but" she stop and look down.

"But apne skin color ko lekar insecure thi right?"

"Aapko kese pata?"

"I'm smart baby" he wink.

Shehnaaz blush first when he said baby second when he wink.

"Dekho shehnaaz to be honest jab tumhara photo dekha tha na tab dimag me bohot si cheeze aai thi like haan ek thought hamare skin color ko lekar bhi aaya tha socha tha ki mom ne pata nahi kya soch kar tumhe mere liye select kiya, phir socha dost aur society wale kya bolenge but phir dil ki suni ko sab kuch Ignore maara kiuki mujhe unse shadi nahi karni unke saath zindagi nahi bitani aur mein un logo me se nahi hu jo insaan ko uske color se judge karte hai mein insaan ka nature uska dil dekhta hu aur jitna mom se tumhare baare me suna hai sach bata raha hu itna excited tha na mein aur jab tumhe dekha na waha bahar un baccho ke saath to laga mom ki choice hamesha best hoti hai" he smile and held her hand at the end.

Shehnaaz smile blissfully atleast he didn't insult her he share his honest point of view with her.

"Sidharth sach batau to jab aapka photo pehli baar dekha tha to man me ek hi khayal aaya tha ki hamari jodi bilkul achi nahi lagegi saath me like aap itne gore hai aur mein sawli and i know ki aapke bhi bohot sapne honge apni wife ko lekar aur mein nahi chahati thi ke wo sapne adhure rahe"

"Shehnaaz meine kabhi apni wife ko lekar koi sapna nahi dekha ki wo dikhne me kesi honi chahiye i just want my perfect life partner jo mujhe samjhe jo mujhse pyaar kare aur kuch nahi chahiye mujhe and i think mujhe wo life partner mil bhi gai hai" he smile.

"Sacchi kon?" She said innocently.

"Tum aur kon baba you are my perfect life partner" he pinch her nose.

"Haww meri favourite hai nose" she rub her nose.

"Acha ji to aaj se meri bhi" he tease her.

Shehnaaz blush on his statement.

"Niche chale?"

She nodded they both went downstairs.

"Baccho ache se baat ho gai?"

They nodded.

"Chalo bhai acha hai waise agar tum dono ready ho to shadi ki date bataye jo sahi lage wo bata dena" her father said. They again nodded. Sidharth sit beside his mother and shehnaaz with her mother.

"Waise pandit ji ne do dates di hai ek agle mahine aur ek agle saal ki hai dekhlo jo tumhe theek lage".

"Dad aap logo ko jo theek lage wo select kar lijiye" Sidharth said.

"Are shadi tum dono ko karni hai tum decide karo"

"Mein kya kehti hu agar bacche ready hai to agle mahine shadi fix karte hai kiu pammi" rita maa said.

"Haan agar ye dono taiyaar hai to phir kiu late karna"

"Theek hai to Sidharth tu le le do mahine ki chutti" his father said.

"Kya dad aap bhi mein aa jaunga dubara chutti lekar do mahine ki li to uncle ko jobless damad jamega nahi" he chuckle. Everyone laugh including Shehnaaz. Sidharth admire her smile.

"Haan ye bhi hai to chalo agle mahine ki date fix karte hai tu ready rehna aane ke liye".

"Haa baba is baar lambi chutti lekar aaunga".

"Waise shehnaaz beta tumhe bhi to office change karna padhega na"

"Ji aunty mein bhi application de dungi transfer ke liye".

Like this they meet eachother, now they don't have insecurities they know that their parents find perfect life partners for them. They are happy with that.
