Prompt: Coffee shop 

Patton came barreling through the door, grinning madly with a head of messy hair. "Roman! Roman, babe, where are you?" 

Roman peeked his head out of a side door and smiled at the sight of his lover. "What is it, Dearheart?" A piece of paper was promptly shoved under his nose, and Patton's tinkling laughter set in like the drug it was. "Roman, my parents can make it for Christmas! They can actually come!" 

Patton had a very strained relationship with his parents, and the fact that they were actually coming into town to celebrate? Roman pulled his small, excited boyfriend into a hug, ignoring the creases in his Gaydar Coffee apron, and kissed him lightly on the forehead. "Angel, I'm still on my shift right now, but there's no one here, so you want to hang out? Free coffee for beautiful people!" He was so in love with Patton's smile. And so lucky, too. He was reminded of it every day.
