Peace of Mind
Schneep spent his time falling in and out of sleep as he looked out the window at the vibrant blue sky that reminded him of his lover's eyes, his concerns for Marvin keeping him awake.
"Henrik, you doing good back there?" Sam asked Schneep quietly as he peeked at the German through the crack of the seat.
"Having zhe time of my life." Schneep retorted somewhat truthfully, the male enjoying the view despite the worries lurking in his mind.
"You worried about Marvin?" Sam prompted gently, Schneep feeling tears well up in his eyes as he hastily nodded.
"I'm sure he's alright, he's strong." Sam comforted Schneep, shooting him a reassuring smile.
The German was silent as he returned his gaze to the window, noticing his reflection staring back at him.
His hair looked barely tamed and his goatee was longer than before, his eyes seeming devoid of light with bags underneath them.
Schneep tore his gaze away and settled on falling back asleep, hugging himself to brace himself for whatever nightmares he would face as he closed his eyes.
"You're too late."
Schneep stood face to face with Marvin on the rooftop in LA that Schneep had met Dark on, the magician's face hidden by the mask as his eyes shone pitch black.
"Zauber, zhis isn't you!" Schneep cried pleadingly as Marvin grabbed the collar of the German's shirt and dangled him over the side of the building.
"Oh darling," Marvin sneered as he let go of Schneep finger by finger, the corners of his lips twisted up in a crazed grin.
"There is so much you don't know about me."
Schneep let out a cry of fear as he fell backwards off of the rooftop, his hands flailing wildly to find something to latch onto while Marvin calmly watched him plummet to his death.
"Doc, you need to wake up."
Schneep closed his eyes as he waited to hit the ground, wind flying past him that caused his lab coat to flutter around him.
"Doc!"
Schneep woke up with a startled gasp as he fell out of his seat, the German quickly shooting up to his feet as he tried to regain his composure.
"We're here, everything okay?" Sam questioned warily as he stepped out into the aisle, Dean bolting off of the plane.
"Y-Yeah, it vas just another nightmare." Schneep stammered, the words Marvin has to said to him repeating in his mind like a broken record.
I don't know much about Marvin, vhat if zhat truly is him? Schneep wondered as he followed Sam off of the plane, the trio gathering their things before finding a motel to stay in.
"Dibs on the bed!" Dean declared as they stepped into their room, the older Winchester dumping his things onto the crusty carpeted floor before flopping onto the only bed in the room.
Sam sighed in defeat as he rummaged through the closet and retrieved an armful of extra blankets and pillows, dumping them on the floor before creating two make shift beds for him and Schneep.
"Thanks." The German nodded in appreciation as he laid down next to Dean's bed, laying awake until he heard Dean's snoring fill the air.
Trigger warning: suicide
Once he was certain that the Winchesters were asleep, Schneep dug through his small bag of things he had brought with him and found his bottle of antidepressants.
Schneep stood up and quietly crept into the bathroom before shutting the door behind him, locking it before opening the bottle.
"I have to get rid of zhe nightmares, of zhe fear and doubt." Schneep murmured in grim determination as he shakily poured a handful of the white pills into his palm, filling a cup up with water.
"Doc? You good?"
Schneep hesitated when he heard Dean's gruff voice, the German glancing between the pills in hand and the door before he swallowed the pills with a large gulp of water and waited for the affects to take hold.
"I'm sorry Zauber, but I can't do zhis vithout you...I-I failed you." Schneep whispered as tears welled up in his eyes, the German listening to Dean waking Sam up as he sat down on the floor.
"Doc, what did you do?!" Dean demanded as the world started spinning, Schneep sitting down on the floor as his heart pounded in his ears.
"I...I don't know." The German admitted sluggishly as black spots peppered his vision, a loud crack emanating through the silent hotel as Dean kicked the door open.
"Henrik, don't fall asleep." Sam directed in a calm stern voice, Dean looking around to find the mostly empty bottle of pills.
"Doc..."
Schneep could feel his heart beat change as his breathing became faster, the German's eyes wide in fear when he saw Anti appear behind the Winchesters.
"Call nine one one!" Dean snapped to Sam as he knelt by Schneep, the male roughly gripping Schneep's shoulders.
He opened his mouth to speak, but found that his breathing was too irregular to allow it as Sam followed his gaze.
"Henrik, there's nothing there, what are you looking at?" Sam questioned as Anti glitched out of existence, the German feeling his head slump forward onto Dean's chest.
"Doc!" Dean barked, his voice sounding far away as Schneep's eyes rolled into the back of his head.
