Namjoon slowly enters Jimin's room and goes to sit next to him.

He delicately removes the damp cloth, he had placed on his forehead an hour before.

Jimin frowns and moans.

Jm : Hmm !!

Namjoon smiled at him and in a gentle tone.

N : hey! Little one, how are you feeling?

Jimin rubs his nose and opens his eyes slowly.

Jm : Hmm better.

N : let me take your temperature to be sure of that. And I'll bring you some soup that Yoongi just made.

Namjoon takes and places the thermometer, then goes down to have Yoongi's famous soup.

Once in the kitchen, he meets the questioning gaze of Yoongi. Who was doing the dishes.

Y: So how is he?

N: Still the same, he's finally awake so I'll give him some soup.

Yoongi nods and hands him the bowl of soup. Namjoon goes straight up.

When he opens the door, he sees Jimin sitting but he looks breathless and has a hand resting on his chest.

So he rushes over to Jimin.

He sets the bowl down and rubs Jimin's back.

N: Jimin, what is it?

Jimin doesn't respond, the pain in his chest and his heart irregularly beating was too much.

After a while, Jimin seems to breathe normally again.

The younger than looks at Namjoon who still has a worried look on his face.

Jm: my heart was beating very fast, it was weird. I never had that.

Namjoon takes Jimin's wrist to feel the speed of his heart but it feels normal.

N: It seems to have passed, maybe it's anxiety?

Jimin shrugs.

Namjoon then takes the bowl of soup.

N: Here, eat a little and it will make you feel better.

Jm : Are you staying with me, hyung?

Jimin did not want to be alone, this episode that he does not explain, increased his desire to have somebody with him .

N: Of course, eat and after that you will sleep some more.

Namjoon resumes his seat in the chair he had placed earlier in the morning, and resumes reading, keeping a benevolent eye on the younger.

After drinking half the bowl, Jimin sets the bowl down on his nightstand.

N: You haven't eaten much today Jimin, can you try drinking a little more?

Jimin shakes his head, no, he was too tired to do anything but sleep. Namjoon then helps him lie down.

Jimin lets himself be carried away by Morpheus, bordered by the leader.

After an hour, Namjoon comes downstairs to use the bathroom and sees all the members gathered in the living room. The smell of popcorn fills the room and as he tries to move silently, so he doesn't disturb their evening, jk pokes his head over the armchair.

Jk: Nam? Is he feeling better?

Namjoon walks over to the sofa with all worried eyes on him now.

N: he sleeps, his temperature doesn't drop much.

J: Do you want me to take over? You stayed with him all day.

N: No it's ok thanks, I have a book that I wanted to read for a while so I'm enjoying it.

T: what did you think he had?

N: It must be a bad virus. Apart from the fever and fatigue he has no other symptoms, we'll see when he wakes up tomorrow.

After that the evening went quietly, Jimin making it night seeming to need a lot of rest and Namjoon by his side making sure to replace the damp cloth, monitoring his temperature and giving him water as soon as he woke up.

The next morning,

Namjoon wakes up to the sound of a notification.

Sejin_manageur :

I will come at the end of the morning, for the meeting.

like that Jimin can stay warm,

I have rescheduled all week.

We talk about that later.

Namjoon hears Jimin moving, so he looks up from his phone.

He comes to remove the locks in front of Jimin's eyes who seems to be struggling to stay asleep.

N: hello Jiminie,

Jimin blinks several times, before smiling at Namjoon.

Jm: did you stay there all night?  You shouldn't. Your back will hurt.

Namjoon can only smile and laugh lightly at this remark.

N: takes a little water.

Jimin gets up but gives a funny face as he feels pain in his sore muscles.

N: Do you want to stay in bed again today? Or do you want to go downstairs?

Jm: no I want to walk a bit and go downstairs to see everyone.

The older one holds out his hand for support.

Jimin gets up but once standing, he feels the room spinning around him so he leans on Namjoon.

N: you were lying down too long, that's why, let's go slowly, okay?

Jimin nods and walks forward with Namjoon.

Once at the bottom of the stairs, Jimin is out of breath and looks like he is about to pass out.

Yoongi who was watching the scene, at first happy to see that Jimin was standing but now worried about the situation, rushes towards them and supports Jimin's free arm.

Y: Easy sweetie, Namjoon why are you making him get up ?!

Jimin didn't want Namjoon to be scolded for his fault, so he summoned the little strength he had to say between two quick breaths.

Jm: No... it's me...

N: let's go lie you down in the living room.

Jimin once guided and installed on the sofa rolls on the side still breathless from the slight effort.

Anger and worry rise in Yoongi's mind as he pulls Namjoon towards the kitchen where the rest of the group was.

Y: What was that, you didn't tell us he was going so badly!

J: Hey! Calm down, what's going on?

Y: He had the great idea to get Jimin up and Jimin is breathless on the couch.

T: WHAT!

Taehyung doesn't wait for an answer and runs to kneel in front of Jimin.

T: Jiminie?

Jimin opens his eyes and looks at him. He had found a more normal breathing but it had exhausted him.

Jm: I think it was not a good idea to walk.

T: oh my poor honey, you want something.

Jm: hug?

Taehyung couldn't help but smile fondly at him. Jimin gets up and Taehyung lies down and lets Jimin use his body as a cushion and take the opportunity to stroke his hair. Jimin goes back to sleep helping by the calm sound of his soul mate's heart.

After finishing arguing in the kitchen, the rest of the group rejoin the two friends, their hearts melting at the image in front of them.

T: He fell asleep again, shut.

Sejin arrives and Jin and Namjoon lead him to the kitchen table.

As he settles down, Sejin watches Jin.

S: are the others coming?

J: Hoseok went to get Jungkook and Yoongi and Namjoon was going to get Jimin and Taehyung.

The sentence barely finished, the leader leaves the room and Hoseok, Jungkook and Yoongi return.

Arrived at the sofa, the two boys are still entwined.

N: we have to wake him up, Sejin has arrived.

Taehyung nods.

And starts to move under Jimin's protests.

T: We had to go, wake up, Sejin is here.

Jimin nods and sits down with the help of his friends.

Sejin looks at Jimin as soon as he enters the kitchen,

He still looks very tired.

After an hour of talking, and after telling them he had unscheduled all their meetings for the week.

He looks at Jimin who had fallen back asleep on Namjoon's shoulder.

M: I think we should bring in a doctor to find out what exactly he has.

The boys agree, they just want Jimin to be healthy.

After a few calls, a doctor arrives.

It wasn't their usual doctor, but the sooner Jimin was on treatment the sooner he would recover.

The doctor after examining the sick member very quickly declares: it is surely a virus.

He then puts him on anti-inflammatory drugs and paracetamol to lower his temperature. He gives the prescription to Sejin that he accompany him out and returns an hour later with the treatment.

Sj: the pharmacist told me that he had to be fed before he took those pills. Ah! And get him to drink as much as possible.

J: thank you Sejin.

Sejin then walks to the entrance.

Sj: kept me posted, and if you need anything just let me know.

Jimin has been taking his treatment for three days now and even though his temperature is lower, it remains present.

Jimin opens his eyes to see Taehyung sleeping next to him.

Jimin didn't want to wake him up so he slipped to his bedroom door.

Jimin leans against it.

Jm: Ah.

Why is it hurting like this?

What is going on with me?

He holds back the tears of worry and heads for the kitchen.

But at the bottom of the stairs he pauses, the pain increasing when he breathes faster due to the little physical effort.

Hoseok comes out of the bathroom and joins him.

H: It's still not getting better, is it?

Jm: no, I always have to take breaks when I walk otherwise I feel like I'm going to pass out. I don't know what's happening to me Hyung!

H: give your body time to overcome the disease.

Jimin nods, he must have been right.

The morning passed and he had more and more pain in his chest.

He complains again that his heart has a weird beat even though it doesn't last very long.

The younger ones are watching a movie in the living room quietly when suddenly, Jimin gets up from the sofa under the gaze of the 2 other maknae.

Jk: where are you going?

Jimin stands up but feels his heart pounding strangely again.

He begins to move forward but he staggers and Jungkook who had just stood up in turn, catches him.

Jimin puts his hand on his chest again.

Jk: it's starting again, right?

Jimin doesn't answer, too focused on his breathing.

Jimin's legs loose force so Jungkook accompanies him in his fall so that he does not get injured.

Jk: Jimin ! What's happening to you?

He keeps his gaze on Jungkook unable to formulate an answer.

His vision blurs and his eyelids get hard to open, he struggles to stay awake but he feels he won't be able to do it for very long.

Taehyung can't stand to see Jimin in pain anymore.

T: it can last longer like that!

He leaves the room and goes to get his and Jimin's coat.

He passes through the corridor and impactful Yoongi.

Y: Can I know what are you doing ??

T: I can't see him suffering like this anymore, I take him to the hospital.

Yoongi was about to answer but he was cut off by the younger boy's calling for help.

Jk: HYUNG !!!

Yoongi and Taehyung then run to join him.

Finally entering on the vision of a panicked jungkook still Jimin in his arms.

Jk: he doesn't answer me anymore hyung, it's not normal! He should be better by now!

Taehyung looks at Yoongi.

Y: I send a message to the group, prepare the car.

Yoongi crouched down next to the two younger ones, Jimin had fainted. Yoongi was reassured because he was breathing normally unlike the maknae who was starting to hyperventilate.

Y: Everything is going to be fine. Jungkook calms down.

Jk: But.... But ! But Jimin he...

Y: Look at me, you calm down now otherwise I can not fully help Jimin and like me, you want him to be better so focus on him.

The attention returned on Jimin who still seemed very pale.

Jk: I'll carry him to the car.

Hobi comes down followed by Namjoon and jin.

H: hey what is this message ??

Yoongi, who was placing Jimin on Jungkook's back, gives them a dark look.

J: what happened.

Y: he passed out, his hands are too cold hyung.

So how I said we're taking him to the hospital.

The boys arrived at the hospital in a record time.

Jin gets out first and runs inside to get the attention of the medical team.

He appears to be accompanied by a doctor and nurse who puts Jimin on a stretcher and quickly brings him to an examination room where the boys were not invited.

nevertheless a doctor stays with them to ask them the types, the frequency and the duration of its symptoms.

After what seems like an eternity, the boys can join Jimin who is drowsy.

D: So at first glance, we think of acute heart failure, to put it simply, his blood is not supplying his brain enough, that's why he passed out. How long has he been like this exactly?

N: He's been having a fever for several days, but he's been very short of breath for two days, and sleeps all day.

D: For the moment, its insufficiency is minor so we will keep him under monitoring, and wait for the result of the blood test to know which treatment will be the most effective to fight the affection.

The doctor leaves and the boys sit down next to Jimin.

Jm: Hyung am I going to be better now ?

N: You're in good hands, they'll get you back on your feet in no time.

Jimin violently squeezes the hand that was holding him, the breath freezes then becomes fast, jerky and shows the pain he is in.

Taehyung who is the owner of the hand panics.

T: Jimin! What's wrong ?

At the same time, alarms sing and the medical team get in again.

D2 : his heart supports the situation less than we thought.

D1 : Where are his blood results ?!

D2 : Can someone take the family out !!

And under the medical hubbub, the boys are kicked out of the room and guided to the waiting room.

Jimin saw the doctors panicking around him but was no longer able to follow the conversations.

And his surroundings became black and silent again.

When Jimin regained consciousness he was no longer in the same room.

Jimin slides his hand up to her face, but she gets stopped halfway.

Jiminie?

The voice echoes strangely.

Why is he wearing a mask?

Jimin opens his eyes weakly and turns his head to see the member.

Jimin questions him in a weak, husky voice.

Jm: Nam? Why are you dressed like this?

Namjoon was constrained to put on white clothes with a yellow overcoat, a blue head cover, glove, and also a mask.

N: it's to protect you Jimin.

The incomprehension can be read on Jimin's face, so Namjoon continues in a voice that he wants to be calm and gentle.

N: You've been sleeping for two days, the doctors found what you had. In fact, you have bacteria. It weakens your immune system that's why they put you in protective isolation and I'm dressed like that.

Jm: hmm

Jimin wanted to talk, but his throat was too dry.

N: Here, drink some water.

A nurse comes in, then speaks directly to Namjoon.

Ns: you've been here for an hour! It is time for you to go now.

N: he just woke up so I can stay a little longer.

The nurse who was exasperated and with little compassion, answers him in a dry tone.

Ns: the rules are the rules.

Jimin who was sitting watched the interaction and his stress build up.

J: No Namjoon please don't go. I don't want to be alone here.

The nurse turns to him to tell him in a tone that is not at all friendly.

Ns: these are the rules. So behave like an adult and stop being childish. Now you lie down.

The nurse forces him to lie down, but Jimin gets up suddenly due to a strong pain in his chest.

Ns : panic like that and you risk making your heart stop.

Namjoon approaches her.

N: I promise to leave when Jimin is calm.

Ns: It won't be my fault if he catches an over-infection. I'll get you a doctor, maybe he'll get you to respect this damn rule.

She finally comes out annoyed.

Jimin starts to hyperventilate so Namjoon rub his back.

N: Jimin I need you to calm down, can you take a deep breath for me ?

Jimin tries, but the tears start to flow.

J: Hyung stays with me!

I will die !

Stay !

N: I will not lie to you, you will die. Yes but not today! Not tomorrow! You will die when you are old and you are satisfied and fulfilled.

Jimin nods.

J: AHH

It hurts nam, help me!

N: Jimin I'm here, I'll never let you go, agree.

J: You promise.

Namjoon holds out her pinky finger to seal the

N : Pinky promise

now, I need you to focus on your breathing okay.

Namjoon takes his hand and places it on his chest

N : there, breathe at the same time as me.

Namjoon takes a deep breath,

Jimin mimics it at first with difficulty, but ends up succeeding

N: very well, once again

The doctor comes in but is softened by the situation.

Jimin's hand in namjoon's resting on his chest, mimicking his elder's breathing.

The doctor coughs to show his presence.

Doc: I'm sorry for the nurse's attitude. I spoke to the head nurse and then we agreed that you could stay another hour but not more, it remains dangerous for him.

Seeing Jimin's sad face

D: I'm sorry Jimin but your immune system is still too weak.

N: thank you

Jimin smiles slightly at him and he leaves.

Jimin started to get tired as he spoke more slowly.

N: You can sleep if you want.

J: no

N: But if you're tired and your body needs to sleep to heal.

J: but you're going to leave.

N: Jimin I want you to promise me to be calm and try not to panic anymore okay?

Jimin nods

N: you can always call me if you need to. I stay the time you fall asleep ok?

Jimin smiles calmly at him, after a few minutes his face calms down as he slips into a deep sleep.
