Members are in theirs lodges, resting before tonight's ceremony.

Once the time arrives, they head for the photos and interviews on the red carpet. Everything's going well, they are laughing, make fun as usual. They also enjoy seeing their fans and other bands they haven't seen for a while now. During the ceremony they danced and sang before being called to prepare for their dances.

They perform Idol.

But during the dance one of the confetti cannons drops the opening directed to the stage.
The only one who notice it is Jimin, at first he doesn't care, but the closer they got to when the confetti will be triggered, Jimin realizes that it might hurt one of them.
Jimin understands that it will be triggered when he finds himself in the center so right in front of the cannon, so he decides not to change anything.

At least I know they're safe.

As expected, the confetti launches but Jimin only receives the gas which is used to launch the confetti who was already on the ground.
At the time his eyes burning. The power forces him to take a few steps back and rub his eyes, but he wants to finish so he forces himself to keep his eyes half open and continuous.
The music ends and they are all seated. Jimin feels that his eyes continued to hurt and for him the light goes out more than usual. He gets up and clings to Taehyung who was behind him.

They leave for the lodges but the light is still low for him.
Jimin then leans towards Taehyung who had sat them on the sofa in a room separated from the members and the staff so they can rest a bit before leaving.

Jm : uh Tae why is it so dark?

He frowns and doesn't seem to understand what he meant.

Jm : never mind

Jimin continued to rub his eyes due to the burning pain he's feeling.

T : Jimin are you sure you're okay ??

Jm: .

T: due to fatigue Jiminie ?

Jimin rubs his eyes harder and begins to sob from the pain, Tae realizes it's not from the fatigue.

Jm : it hurts tae.

T : I'm going to find someone, don't move.

Tae crosses Jin who was coming back from the bathroom.
He warns him that there is a problem and asks him to join Jimin while he tells a manager that they need the medical team.

The manager and Taehyung join them a few minutes later.

M : The medical team are outnumbered and have asked me to join them in their room.

Jin had taken Jimin in his arms to reassure him but above all to prevent him from rubbing his eyes harder than he was already doing.
Jimin was too much in the grip of pain to really hear and especially understand what was happening around him. He wanted to tear his eyes out for the pain to stop.

T : Jimin, we are going to take you to see the doctor okay.

The other members who had seen the agitation and especially heard Jimin's crying, which he could no longer hold back, join them.

T : Jiminie just open your eyes to see where you are walking please, and lean on kook and me okay.

Jimin frowns and opens his eyes to close them immediately.

The medical team places him on the examination table, the doctor asks him what happened. Jin who had already heard the story, spares Jimin and explains to the doctor.

The doctor takes several glass bottles and while lengthening Jimin's head back, he explains to him

D : Jimin I have to pour water on your eyes to remove what burns you, when it hurts less try to open your eyes.

After 20 minutes, the doctor stops. And help Jimin sit down.

Namjoon crouches in front of him, rests his hands on Jimin's lap.

N : Jimin why are you saying that?

JM : I can't see anything namjoon, everything is black.

The boys all hold their breaths for a moment, lost.

The doctor examines his eyes and walks away to speak to Shin hyo (their managers) to advise him to take him to see a specialist. But given the late hour, he decided to go to the emergency. Shin hyo, Namjoon and the doctor accompany Jimin.

Namjoon could see that Jimin's eyes were not as usual, the doctor called it ischemic white eyes.

D : It will be necessary to wait, at least 3 weeks, for the inflammation to decrease, to be able to know if his eyes are seriously affected or not. And if there is no improvement, surgery is possible, it is a limbic stem cell transplant but we are not there yet. Let him rest for the night and tomorrow he can go back home.

The manager, after having greeted the two idols, goes out with the doctor.
Namjoon calls the other members to warn them and for them to organize.
Eventually they decided that Hoseok would sleep with Jimin, while bringing him some things for tomorrow morning, and that Jin would come and get them.

The sun was barely up when Jimin woke up. But he stays in the dark, he doesn't know where he is and why he can't see anything. He decides to get up to find a light or a curtain, any source of light. He begins to move his arms slightly raised in front of him to find a wall but his feet get stuck and he stumbles. The panic rises more and more and he curls up on himself in tears.

Hoseok was sitting on the armchair next to Jimin's bed, woke up with when he felt a kick in his feet and a loud sound.

He kneels down as fast as he can and hugs Jimin, but Jimin pushes him away.

H : Jimin it's me, don't be scared, calm down.

He runs his hand through his hair and Jimin slowly calms down.

H : II understand it must be strange and scary for you Jimin but I know that you are strong and that you will overcome all of this okay.

Jimin nod

Jm : hyung, I'm scared and I can't see anything.

H : we'll have to be patient, okay. The doctor explained to us yesterday that it is necessary to wait until the inflammation of your eyes decreases and we will advise there. And I can promise you that whatever happens everything will be fine and that me and the boys will always be with you!

The manager came with Jin, for Jimin's release.

The doctor gives the instructions for his care and also advice to help Jimin.

D : Did you have any other question?

Sh : can he dance ?

The boys remain speechless, it was far from their first concern.

The doctor also surprised by the question scratches the back of his head and replies

D: I see no problem, as long as it doesn't put him in danger.

Sh : Thank you doctor, boys, I'm waiting for you in the car. Take your time Jimin.

The doctor and the manager exits, Jin approaches Jimin.

J : let's go home.

The ride was silence. Hoseok helps Jimin get out of the car and helps him sit on the sofa where the other members were also installed at the request of their manager.

Everyone remains silent waiting for their manager to speak.

Sh: I know that asking if he can dance now surprised you, but you have to remember that his problem is likely to last.

The boys have joined the studio. They talk for a while with all the staff and decide to do some song to see how to do it. He begins to warm up but Jimin begins to feel the anguish rising in him, he is not sure anymore if he can do it, he breathes quicker and he finds himself with his hands on the ground breathlessly.
Hoseok who was stretching next to him, put his hands to rub his back, and blow to him.

Jh : Jimin listen to me, I know you're scared but you know you can do it. Plus you've already done it, it's not the first time you've been dancing without seeing.

Jimin sits up and holds out his hands which J hope grabs tenderly.

Jm : Yes but that's different

Jh : Not really Jimin, you know I was already very impressed when you made the passage in lie but during our duet I was blown away. You are a wonderful dancer and you know how to use your other senses, you don't need the sight you have already proven it. trust me Jimin, because we trust you.

Hoseok wipe a tear on Jimin cheek. Jimin took a deep breath, his motivation picking up on his friend's encouragement.

The dances require some adjustment but it happens by impressing everyone including himself.

Weeks pass with Jimin who ventures into the new world that opened in front of him, one of the members behind him.
