Part 8
Lux and Steela were making the final rounds on their patrol. As he had the last few days, Lux remained silent for a majority of their time together, despite Steela trying her best to talk to, or flirt with, Lux. She was beginning to grow increasingly more frustrated when he kept ignoring her.
When they were rounding the corner and their new hideout came into view, Steela made her move. She gabbed Lux's hand and pulled him into an alleyway, pressing him up against a wall.
"Steela! What the- mphumph" Lux was unable to finish his statement as Steela had pressed a finger to his lips.
"Shhhhhh," she replied seductively, biting her lip in the process. "it's time for you to decide, me or her, and I'm just going to try to give you a bit of convincing," she said smirking. Steela began to lean in and finally pressed her lips to his.
At first Lux's eyes shot open in shock, and he began to push her away, thinking of Ahsoka and what this could do to her. She is pregnant with his son for force sake. He tried to push Steela away, get her off of him, but it didn't work. The more he pushed her away, the more she pressed her lips into him.
Slowly, Lux's protesting pushes ceased and he felt himself melting into the kiss. Steela mentally smirked as she knew she had won over the boy. With her prize won, she decided to press it a bit further. She slip her tongue into his mouth and began to run her hands through his hair, tugging at it and pulling it a bit. Lux seemed to get the idea and began to run his hands down her back towards her butt. He gave a gentle squeeze and Steela let out a slight moan. They two continued to fervorously suck face for a few more minutes before they parted, both of them smiling.
"Well if that doesn't convince you of the right choice, I don't know what will," Steela said with a smirk. Lux just smiled back at her in response. "Now come on, let's get back to the base before anyone gets worried. We can continue there." Steela winked at Lux and wrapped her hand around his. Lux, however, didn't move.
"Luxy, what's wrong?" Steela asked concerned.
"Before we continue what we started here, I have to break the news to Ahsoka. It's only fair to her."
Steela huffed. She wished she could just tell the bitch herself and see her heart break, rub it in her face that Lux had chosen her. "Fine, but make it quick."
"I will," Lux responded planting a quick kiss on Steela's lips.

Ahsoka awoke from her nap with tears streaming down her face. Was what she just saw a vision of the future? Had it already happened? Was Lux coming back now to tell her his choice? She didn't know what was happening anymore or what she should do. She decided to call Anakin, he always knew what to do. Taking out her holo device, she placed it on the bed in front of her and called Anakin.
"Hey Snips," he said without turning his head from the endless abyss of space. "What's u-" he paused when he saw the state that his padawan was in. Even over hologram it was evident that she had been crying. "Oh my force Ahsoka, what's wrong? Was it that Bonteri boy? Did he hurt you? I told you he was trouble! I'm turning this ship around right now to talk some sense into that boy and maybe introduce him to my light saber!"
Ahsoka sniffled and wiped the tears away. "N-no I-I th-think I had a vision."
This seemed to calm Anakin down a bit, but he was still noticeably on edge. "A vision? What kind of vision?"
"Well when you left, I decided to take a nap until Lux came back so I could think more clearly, and I had a dream. In the dream I saw Lux... I saw him..." Ahsoka couldn't even finish before she burst into tears.
"Ahsoka... Ahsoka it's okay," Anakin tried to calm the crying girl. "What did you see him doing?"
"I-I-I s-saw him kissing Steela," Ahsoka was able to choke out before crying even harder.
Anakin was in shock. He knew that Steela definitely liked Lux, and he knew the kid had some feelings for her, but he had always thought his feelings for Ahsoka outweighed those he had for Steela. Anakin was about to speak and try to console the young teen, but before he could, another voice spoke.
"Ahsoka are you sure this was a vision and not just a bad dream? You've obviously been very stressed lately, so your vision may be clouded."
Anakin turned around in shock. "Master??? How long have you been there?"
"Well let's see," Obi-Wan said stroking his beard, "I've been here since about 5 minutes before Ahsoka called." Obi-Wan turned his attention back to Ahsoka. "Like I said, are you sure this was a vision?"
"I-I'm not sure. It seemed so real," Ahsoka replied.
"Well, has he come back yet?"
"Well no, but he should be back soon."
"Then I don't think you have anything to worry about Ahsoka."
At this Ahsoka smiled. "Thank you Master Kenobi," she said with a bow.
"Of course Ahsoka. Just remember this when you're choosing godparents," he said with a wink and a chuckle.
Ahsoka and Anakin's eyes widened in shock. "H-how long have you known?" Ahsoka asked.
"Well you two aren't necessarily the best at keeping secrets. I heard you talking about it in your quarters about a month ago."
Ahsoka facepalmed and Anakin just looked dumbfounded. "How come you never said anything then?" Anakin asked. "Isn't it against your precious Jedi Code?"
"Why yes it is, but I never said anything because I care for Ahsoka and her well being, and I care for you Anakin. I know what her expulsion from the Order would've done to you, to both of you."
"Th-thank you Master, it really means a lot to have your full support in this endeavor," Ahsoka thanked.
"Of course Ahsoka. I hope you and Mr. Bonteri live a happy life."
"Thank you."
"Well Snips, if Obi-Wan believes that it was just a dream, then it probably was. Good luck with confronting Lux when he gets back. I believe in you kid."
"Thanks Master, I appreciate it," Ahsoka said with a smile as a loan tear fell from her face.
"Awww now Snips don't you go getting all emotional on me. You're going to make me cry."
"I-I'm sorry Master. It's just... I'm going to miss you so much, all of you."
"No, no, don't say that Snips. I'll see you sooner than you think. I promise you that I'll be there, right by your side when you give birth, nothing the council says will stop me from being there."
At this point the tears were flowing, but they weren't tears of sadness anymore, no they were tears of joy. "Force what did I do to deserve a master like you?"
"It was the will of the Force that you were by my side Ahsoka, and I couldn't have asked for a better padawan," Anakin said with a smile, trying to fight back tears. "Now, go, run to you man."
Ahsoka giggled. "I will, thank you master."
"You're welcome, my padawan." And with that the transmission ended, and just in time. As Anakin cut out, Ahsoka felt a presence enter the building. She felt butterflies in her stomach. Despite what her master and Obi-Wan had said, she was still nervous of rejection. What would she do if he had chosen Steela? The seeds of doubt began to creep their way into Ahsoka's mind.
Ahsoka shook her head clear of the doubts, and made her way to the door of her room, but before she could make it, the door flung open, and there, standing in the doorway was Lux. The pair stared at each other for a few seconds, each waiting for the other to make the first move.
Finally, Lux cracked. "Ahsoka... we need to talk."
"Yes, we do Lux," Ahsoka responded. She walked over to the bed, the same bed that they had sat on a few days before when Lux had ran out on her, and sat down, motioning for Lux to do the same.
"So," Lux said sitting down on the bed.
"So," Ahsoka replied mimicking him.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking the last couple of days. Thinking about us, my feelings towards you and what exactly they are, about Carlac and what happened, and everything since. I've also been thinking about Steela and my feelings for her. It's been tough because you were my first. My first real love, but we've had a lot of bad times, we've butted heads a lot, and we haven't been together a lot. Steela on the other hand has always been there for me since I was little. She was there for me when my father died, when my mother died, and she's been with me through this whole effort to free Onderon."
The more Lux spoke, the more Ahsoka's heart broke, and the more she began to believe Lux had chosen Steela, that her dream hadn't been a dream at all, but had actually been a vision.
"But then I came back to you, and what happened on Carlac. I'm not kidding when I say the time I spent with you there was the best time of my life, and when we parted, I was heartbroken. I yearned for what we had then, I wanted it all the time, I wanted you here with me, and I guess that's why I gravitated towards Steela. You two are similar in so many ways, I tried to replace you with her, but ultimately she's not you. There's only one Ahsoka Tano in the entire galaxy, and I want her by my side forever and always. I love you Ahsoka Tano."
At Lux's conclusion, Ahsoka's eyes began to fill with tears again. "Oh Lux... y-you don't know h-how long I've waited to h-hear that," she said as she flung herself onto him. "I love you too you big idiot." Ahsoka crashed her lips into Lux's, and in that moment everything just felt... right.
Well, the long awaited Part 8 is finally here! I hope you guys enjoyed it!
