Noah's POV

"Wow. I was not expecting that." I tell Jamie as we get to her house.

"Me neither, but in all honesty, I think it has the best outcome." She replies.

"Me too. Thank you, for being there with me. For going with me, everything. It means a lot, especially considering everything that is on your plate right now."

"You welcome. It doesn't bother me at all, it has helped me in some ways." Jamie tells me.

"How so?" I wonder aloud.

"I have realized that the world and everybody in it is not perfect, we have flaws. Instead of ignoring them we need to reach out and help each other and overcome these things."

"I agree."

She smiles warmly at me.

"It was nice to meet your dad." She says.

"I wish it was under better circumstances."

"It was fine how it was, as I said, it helps me to see imperfection."

"Good. But you're wrong," her eyebrow raises, "the only thing that isn't an imperfection, is you." I finish.

"Noah, you know that isn't true. I have flaws, as well as everyone. I'm not perfect in any way."

"Well you're perfect to me." I tell her, coming and embracing her in a hug.

"You're the only person I want to be perfect for." She assures me.

That only makes me hug her tighter. I never want to let go. Not of this. Not of her. She is the ray of light in the darkness. She is my happiness.

"I love you." I tell her.

"I love you more." She teases.

"I don't know if that's possible."

"Oh it is." She says.

I tilt up her chin so she is looking at me. I lower my lips down to hers and kiss her. Slowly,  gently, with all the love I feel for her.

I pull back, "now tell me that."

"Okay, okay, you have proved your point." She laughs.

"That's what I thought." I smirk.

I pull away completely and lean back on the counter, "so, I was online and found a really good, highly recommended therapist that I think would be good for my dad."

"That's great. We should get on top of that ASAP." She agrees.

"Yes. I'm going to call her and see when I can get him in for. I need your opinion on something though..."

"What is it?" She asks.

"I was wondering if it would be a good idea or not for me to go to the session or to let him go on his own." I tell her.

She considers this for a few seconds before saying, "honestly Noah, I think you should go for the first few and as he gets comfortable gradually start letting him go on his own."

"I agree 100%" I tell her. Because I do, I think she is right. I need to go and make sure he is being treated properly and getting the most out of the session. As he improves I will leave early and eventually let him go on his own.

"Thank you." I say.

"Noah, you don't have to thank me. Being here, being with you, is enough to make me happy."

"I feel the same about you."

"Well that's good."

"Why's that?" I ask smirking.

"Because you're not getting rid of me anytime soon."

"You just made my day." I tell her. She laughs.

"So listen. I know these past few weeks have been hard on the both of us," I start, "so I was thinking we could do something to get our minds off of things."

"I like that idea. What did you have in mind?" Jamie asks.

"I got invited to a party by Ryan. It's nothing crazy, don't worry. He invited a bunch of people and I thought it would be a good idea for the two of us to go and take our minds off of everything and just relax and have fun, together." I inform her.

"Yeah, yeah I like it." She tells me after considering for  awhile.

"One more thing..." I add.

She narrows her eyes at me, "yesss...."

"Ryan kind of likes your friend Maggie, you think you could get her to come as well?" I ask, remembering that Ryan asked me to try and talk to Maggie for him.

"I can ask for sure. Parties aren't really our scene but I'm excited, I just don't know how on board Maggie will be with that." She says.

"Okay. Well try at least. I think they would be good together."

"You don't even know Maggie." She laughs.

"I've seen her around and I was in her science class last year. She's smart and nice. Totally Ryan's type." I say.

"Yeah? What's your type?" She asks me.

"You." I tell her, wrapping my arms around her waist.

"That's not very descriptive Noah." She says, leaning forward.

"Someone nice, smart, cool, funny, encouraging, and beautiful." I say, hoping to have got the right answer, all I did was say what she is.

"And that adds up to me?"

"Yes."

She smiles and leans up to kiss me. It is a kiss that makes me want more, slow, loving, sweet, safe.

"Jamie." I say breathlessly, pulling away from the kiss.

"Hmmm?"

"You should get some rest. We have both had a long day."

She sighs, "I agree. Mind if I watch a movie with you though?"

"That would be great."

We walk over to the couch and she pops in the movie "the heat."

"This okay?" She asks, referring to the movie choice.

"Yeah, it's great." I tell her.

"Okay."

She comes back and cuddles up next to me.

Halfway through the movie her breathing becomes heavy. I look down, sure enough, she is sleeping. I smile to myslef, just like the first night I came here.

With that, I fall asleep. Happy and in love.
