Josh insisted on paying for our tickets, and for the popcorn and soda. We got one small popcorn and large soda to share. Josh and I were both hungry, but neither of us wanted to spoil our appetites too much.

Once we got inside the theater building itself, we parted ways with Brendon and Ryan. It had been nice running into them; we had been friendly to one another but not barged into each others' respective dates.

Josh and I sat somewhere in the middle of the theater, and munched on some popcorn while we watched the pre-movie ads. The theater had a few people in it besides us.

"Are you sure you don't mind seeing this movie?" I asked Josh.

He smiled at me and stuck out his tongue. It was incredibly cute. "You've asked me that four times since I bought the tickets, Ty. Yes, I'm sure."

"Okay." I smiled back and put some more popcorn in my mouth.

"It was nice to see Brendon and Ryan." Josh took a sip of soda as he watched an advertisement for a realty business. (A/N: I swear my movie theater shows nothing but ads for realtors) "What do you think about going on a double date with them sometime?" He paused. "Would mini golf be too silly?"

"MIni golf would be very silly." I leaned in and kissed his cheek. "It sounds great."

The theater started to darken, and Josh grasped my hand. I rested my head on his shoulder as the movie began, and felt myself begin to slip into the alternate world that only a movie can provide.
