1. Your big three (astrology)?
I'm a Cancer sun, a Scorpio moon, and an Aquarius rising. Basically both my sun and moon signs make me an emotional, sensitive bitch who's hypersensitive to feelings. My rising apparently means my independent, friendly side comes out when I meet new people but I have social anxiety so... what is the truth?

2. Top 5 songs on your soundtrack of life?
This can be interpereted so many ways. If we're talking about the EVENTS of my life, then it would be a very depressing soundtrack because :) so much ... death ... in my family ... anyways moving on. But if we're talking about life through my eyes, it would also be depressing but like. In a funky way. So here's a list based on that:

1. Bohemian Rhapsody — Queen

5. Sad — Bo Burnham

The first four songs are bangers but if you actually pay attention to the lyrics, things get ~*Deep*~ like "Everything is Fine" saying "Everything is fine and nothing matters." That's probably the depression talking but yes that's the mood.

"Sad" is on the list because 1) I love Bo Burnham and 2) I think his songs are so amazing because they make you laugh but then they have a deeper message that hits you like a sucker punch to the gut. The whole song is just funny paradoxes like "🎶I met a homeless man named Rich... (he wasn't)🎶" and then toward the end, he goes on to say, "'Cause tragedy will be exclusively joked about because my empathy is bumming me out" and I just. WOW IF THAT AIN'T ME. But please listen to the song, it's hilarious and morbid and that's the duality of man.

3. Favorite season?
Normally I'd say autumn, but we've been having the worst autumn seasons for the past few years (rainy, not cold until it's far too late in the season) so lately it's been spring. Where I live, we experience all 4 seasons so it's amazing to see everything coming back to life after the brutal winters. I always get so excited when it's warm enough to open a window in the house or wear a light jacket instead of my heavy winter coat!!

4. Favorite scent?
Either freshly-baked cookies, or, and this is going to sound really weird, the smell of ink. My mom worked for a printing company and the back room where the HUMONGOUS machines were constantly smelled so strongly of freshly-printed catalogues/banners/flyers/whatever job they had. We had to pass through the room to enter and leave, so it just reminds me of the childhood days where I'd come to work with my mom.

5. A sneak peak of your newest WIP
I suppose I could share the most recent chapter I've been working on, which is chapter 31 of Mostly Ghostly. Ignore how I have dark mode on.

6. Favorite ship of all time?

8. A fic you'd write if the fandom was bigger
I'd probably write a Shadowhunters fic!! I have lots of plot ideas (as seen in my shop) but no motivation to actually write one. I also wanted to write a fanfic for this show called Falling Skies a LONG time ago but didn't get that far because the fandom is so small it hardly exists... even though gifs/photos of the show are used in SOOO many edits for The 100 HAHAHA.

9. Your dream house?
Not sure if I have a precise one but LOOK AT THIS CUTE BLUE HOUSE I FOUND ON PINTEREST!!

10. (One of) your favorite quotes?
I've always loved the quote "She believed she could, so she did." It's good for motivation and just feeling better about myself in general.

11. A book you would recommend to anyone
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson is SOOOO good, and so is the sequel!! I'm so excited for book 3 to come out. I finished the first book in a day because I couldn't put it down and the second one was just as exciting. Also one of my favorite male characters is in it. *Blows a kiss to the stars* for Ravi Singh

13. One character ship you love but everyone hates
I don't know if I have an unpopular ship. Like I honestly can't think of one, even after looking through my list. Unless you count Thomesa from The Maze Runner because Teresa is an unpopular character (but it's okay Teresa, you have my heart🥰)

14. Any YouTuber streamers you watch?
No, I don't really watch streamers.

15. Your favorite headcanons?
That Wells and Bellamy would have been best friends in The 100's show if Wells had lived, Peter Parker is a raging bisexual, no character on Teen Wolf is straight, and that The 100 ended after season 5.

16. Fictional world you would love to visit?
This is a tough one. Part of me says the Marvel universe but only if I were an Avenger because I feel like having Hulk throw my car into an alien spaceship for the second time in 2 months would be really annoying as a civilian, and also because I would work to help minimize destruction like that. The other part of me says Teen Wolf because I want to give Scott McCall, Isaac Lahey, and Allison Argent 3 hour long hugs. And I also want to tell Boyd he's loved and appreciated.

... Somewhere along the course of writing Mostly Ghostly, I became a Boyd stan, and honestly I'm not mad about it.

17. Do you have or want any pets?
Most of you already know about my cat Sprinkles, but my dad and I are thinking about getting a dog again since it's been 2 years since we had to put my childhood dog down. We're not sure what kind yet but probably a lab of some sort! I'd also love to get another cat in the future, but as long as I'm still living with my dad, I can't because he's hellbent on not getting another one. I honestly don't think he expected Sprinkles to live this long LMAO

18. What are some little things people do that you love?
When people get so excited about something that they start ranting.
When someone tells you that something reminded them of you.
When people clearly put time and effort into a gift/card and you can tell it came from the heart.
When people stop their car to let an animal pass. It's just so pure and seeing a hoard of geese crossing the road is hilarious.

19. Would you and your OC(s) be friends?
Well I can think of some that I for sure would not be friends with.

1. Ares (Fireheart) is practically the opposite of me, plus he, in canon, hates emotional and dramatic people, so by definition, he basically hates me🥰 But then again, he loves Kiernan, and Kiernan reminds me a bit of myself, so maybe he'd appreciate it if I gave him a hug, blanket, and a nice bowl of soup. But we would definitely argue a lot and I'd frequently have to stop him from, like, hot wiring and stealing a car or something. Basically I'd be the mom friend for him.

2. Thalia (Caged) would be difficult to get along with because she's not great with people. She can come across as cold, unfeeling, and a bit awkward since she just doesn't know wtf to do when presented with a new person. I would definitely be intimidated by her and my social anxiety would prevent me from opening up to her, and she wouldn't want to open up to me, so we'd probably sit there in excruciating silence.

3. Carly (Caged) and I would not get along either, oh my God. She's worse than Thalia. I'd see her and run for the hills.

4. Clark (Aegis) terrifies me and is mean for no reason. I would like end-of-Aegis Clark, but not beginning-of-Aegis Clark, just like most of my readers didn't.

5. I would also be scared shitless of Hestia (Radiance/Embers). Like Cassian, I'm more introverted, quiet, and prefer to show my affection with little acts of kindness rather than showing tough love and doing things the hard way. She has good intentions but doesn't always execute them in moral or conventional ways.

I would say that I'd get along with everyone else unless, you know, they're written to be an antagonist or something (looking at you Alex from Aegis)

20. A show/movie you would love to rewrite?
Teen Wolf. The 100. The potential was there but there are so many ways they could've been better, a lot of which I explore in my fics!

21. An unpopular hill you would die on
The Office isn't that great sorry!!! Most of the humor deals with secondhand embarrassment and I can't deal with that!!! I've seen so many episodes and haven't laughed. Not even at the fire drill scene. I'm sorry. I think Parks and Recreation is better in terms of a mocumentary sitcom. Some people act like The Office is the best show in the history of mankind, which is fine, but then they attack people who don't like it, which is a huge turnoff for me.

22. A weird/mundane item that means a lot to you.
Oh God. I have so many. I'm very sentimental and keep everything anyone gives me. I keep wristbands from theme parks, tickets to ANYTHING, even a small carnival, brochures from vacation, etc, so I'd say all of those things mean a lot to me. I love keeping things and reliving the memories they hold.

23. Your Hogwarts house?
Hufflepuff baby!! I can't believe I used to be convinced I was a Gryffindor because Pottermore told me I was when it got revamped in like 2015. I blame the blatant favoritism and lack of Hufflepuff characters in the series. Now I'm proud of my house!

24. Your url favorite aesthetic?
I'm not sure if there's a name for it, I've compiled a couple of pictures to show what I've been loving lately:

I've been super into color and patterns (especially butterflies)! It's weird because I used to hate them because I never wanted to stand out in any way. I always wanted to blend in and not have people notice me, which was a side-effect of my anxiety. However, I've been on medication since November and it has CHANGED my life. It kinda makes me sad because I feel like my teenage years were lost to constant fear and people might view bright colors/pastels as childish, but I don't care.

I actually just got a colorful eyeshadow palette from Colourpop. I have the day off work so I'm gonna wear purple eyeshadow just because I can!!!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to read as many fics on here as I'd like to because of university and work, but I'm hoping to ge better at that!!

26. A song you think more people should hear.
Idk if there's a specific song, but I've really been into the artist Charlotte Sands!! Not only is she GORGEOUS and I lowkey wanna look like her (the turquoise hair !! a look !!) but also her music is really good!! She made a song about Harry Styles on the cover of Vogue which evolved into her song "Dress" and that's like. A mood. I found her back in November and I absolutely love her work. Plus she liked one of my Instagram comments and it made me go🥺🥺🥺🥺

27. Any current/obscure interests?
I guess I would say makeup is a current interest of mine. And also skincare I guess? Just experimenting with different colors and styles of makeup, plus different products that I never used to use (recently got bronzer and idk what I'm doing yet). I don't wear it every day but it's just fun!

I'm also taking better care of my skin since I've seen some horrible damage done (mainly from teen girls overusing tanning beds and literally looking 40 at 16). It's the clearest it's been since middle school, which I'm so grateful about. I've never had cystic acne but I always had one pimple at the VERY least all throughout my first year of college from 2019-2020. It was like a new one popped up just as one went away, and they were bright red and impossible to cover up. Now things are better and I'm hoping to keep it that way.

28. A fond memory you have
Picture this: it's August 2016. You have just started your second year of high school and since you can't drive, your 17 year old cousin picks you up from school. There's a Blink-182 concert soon and it's all he talks about because he's going. Your favorite band, All Time Low, is opening for them, but you can't go so you get sad.

Then, literally the day of the concert, your cousin says "Hey Kristyn I got some extra tickets to this cool band" and plays "Dear Maria, Count Me In" by the one and only All Time Low. You're like "what" then he explains that he and his friend got better tickets so he's giving you his old lawn seats so you're going to stick around the venue long enough to watch All Time Low.

I was like

I was excited enough to see them on the lawn because just being in their presence was enough to make me want to cry, but then my cousin and his friend let my mom and I sit in their seats halfway through their set, so I got even CLOSER and guys when I tell you I was shaking, I mean I was trembling from head to toe and could hardly walk. I can hardly remember a moment where I was happier. My mom took a video of me jamming in my seat because she could tell I was so excited and my joy just exudes from the screen. It's contagious.

We only stayed long enough to watch them and left before Blink came on because 1) it was already late, 2) I was one of the youngest people there and everyone was smoking weed on the lawn, 3) the venue was an hour away from home, 4) it was a school night, and 5) I was going to pass out from excitement already.

That was around the time that Snapchat memories became a thing, so one of the first things I have saved is the moment when their first song ended, the music faded out, it went quiet for a second, and then Alex just screamed into the mic, "SHIT." And that was my mother's first impression of All Time Low.

29. Favorite childhood movie?
I have three huge ones. High School Musical was a HUGE part of my childhood. I watched it so many times that, at five years old, I knew all of the choreography to "We're All in This Together" and my mom filmed me doing the dance. I had stickers, t-shirts, a purse, posters, CDs, all three movies, and more HSM merch. I was obsessed.

Another movie is Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. Honestly it's my favorite Barbie movie ever. I've seen it so many times (probably the movie I've watched the most times, second only to HSM) and it's just ??? AMAZING ?? Genevieve and Derek make me want to cry. Plus I named two of my OCs after the sisters (Fallon and Illa).

The third is My Neighbor Totoro. SUCH A FEEL-GOOD MOVIE AAAHHH!! I have fond memories of my cousins putting this movie on when they'd babysit me. It's so good. I love Totoro and his little leaf umbrella.

30. Finally, what are your boundaries with mutuals?
I don't really have explicit boundaries like "you can NEVER do this" because it varies from person to person. Some mutuals I haven't spoken to in years and others I talk to regularly. Basically, if we just became mutuals, I kindly ask that you don't ask for my personal social media/number/etc because I don't know you well enough. There are very few people who have access to those things (literally like. three) and it's for safety reasons.

I've had random followers ask for my Instagram and I'm like um... no.
