Note: I actually have a list of my OTPs in my notes app... it's past 50, so I will not be posting every single OTP in here because that would make this like 50k words long.

BELLARKE

Pairing: Bellamy Blake x Clarke Griffin
Fandom: The 100

Ignoring 7x13 and beyond...

I am a WHORE for Bellarke. They are the heart and soul of the show, co-leaders, enemies to friends, the only people who truly understand one another. It was recently revealed that they were supposed to get together and so that's how Eliza and Bob portrayed their characters, but Jason Rothenberg is a piece of shit who doesn't know how to write a show so he baited us for 7 seasons :) Anyway, Bellarke belongs to the fandom and I say they're canon because season 7 makes absolutely no sense.

MALEC

Pairing: Magnus Bane x Alec Lightwood
Fandom: Shadowhunters

Book!Malec? 🤢 Show!Malec? 🥰🥺😘💗💕

Malec is just... perfection. Alec getting all flustered around Magnus in season 1?? AMAZING. Him grabbing Magnus and kissing him in front of EVERYONE at his own arranged wedding (to a girl)??? ASTOUNDING!! Them doing literally anything for each other and Alec saying he can't live without Magnus?? INCREDIBLE!! Magnus helping Alec come to terms with his sexuality?? WE LOVE TO SEE IT!!!

I just love seeing how many stereotypes are broken with this ship. You have Alec, a shadowhunter (a community that is pretty homophobic) and future Head of the Institute of Brooklyn. A gay man who isn't stereotypically feminine or sassy or anything. And Magnus, the bisexual Chinese Head Warlock of Brooklyn, who wears glittery clothing and eyeliner and nail polish and jewelry without being de-masculinized (is that a word?). Asian men are traditionally not seen as masculine in media just for being Asian, which is horrible, and why Magnus' character is so important.

Two LGBT men in positions of power!!!

STYDIA

Pairing: Stiles Stilinski x Lydia Martin
Fandom: Teen Wolf

Yeah.... I'm one of those Teen Wolf fans. But I've been on the Stydia train since I was 12 and season 3 was still airing so it's too late to hop off now.

Do I like how Stiles was written to seem entitled to Lydia because he'd had a crush on her for so long? No. That was shitty writing. However, he was one of the only ones who saw past Lydia's airhead façade in season 1 and knew how smart she was. They had an emotional connection so deep that Lydia was able to not only bring him back from the dead (when he, Scott, and Allison found the Nemeton), but also bring him back from the corner of his mind that the Nogitsune shoved him into.

They're hilarious together ("Why would they put the instructions on there?" "Because animals can't read!") and yeah, season 6 was fanservice, but I'll take it!!

EVERLARK

Pairing: Katniss Everdeen x Peeta Mellark
Fandom: The Hunger Games

Another one of my middle school ships I will never let go of.

I could go on a separate rant on THG (and maybe I will in the future), but let me shorten my thoughts to this: it's viewed as a regular YA dystopian trilogy with a ~love triangle~ but it's so much more than that. I don't even think it's a love triangle because Katniss never reciprocated Gale's romantic feelings.

The books delve so much deeper than the movies. Peeta isn't some "weak" boy who does nothing the entire series. He and Katniss have traits that defy their traditional gender roles, and Peeta is hella strong and super cunning, he's just a kind soul and loves to bake. He knew to announce his crush on Katniss on live television because it would gain her sponsors and help her get home safe. Sure, she may not have reciprocated his feelings at first and only played along to please the audience, but she eventually grew to care for him deeply, as evident in her reaction when Peeta's heart stopped in the Quarter Quell.

Peeta represents peace and tranquility, which was exactly what Katniss needed after everything that happened to her. He was the only one who could truly empathize with what she went through in the Games. Gale couldn't. He was all anger and war and destruction, which may have been what Katniss used to need, but not anymore.

Literally all of my middle school friends were "Team Gale" and I was the only one shipping Everlark just like 🧍‍♀️

SIZZY

Pairing: Simon Lewis x Isabelle "Izzy" Lightwood
Fandom: Shadowhunters

Another ship that's superior in the show, hence why I don't even mention the books.

This was such a slow burn that I didn't even know if it was going to happen before the show ended. I love how Simon was so dorky in season 1 and Isabelle found him so endearing and adorable. They're just 🥰🥰 A power couple.

Super huge nerd x badass warrior? Amazing. Simon is someone traditionally out of Isabelle's league, which makes their relationship even better. Also it took them like FOREVER to kiss. There were 3 separate times when they were interrupted and I was going to tear my hair out.

MACKSON

Pairing: Nathan Miller x Eric Jackson
Fandom: The 100

A ship I never would have expected during seasons 1-3 but one I am so glad we got.

Because Jason Rothenberg is a literal dick, most of the Mackson moments in the show were just improvised from Jarod and Sachin, because they knew their characters so well that they knew how they'd act without any instruction. They were also sidelined a lot. But the moments they did have were amazing, and Jarod and Sachin portrayed them so well.

I love how soft they were. Jackson saying "Hey baby" and giving Miller a huge hug still has me like 🥺🥺🥺

SPIDEYCHELLE

Pairing: Peter Parker x Michelle Jones
Fandom: MCU

I can't wait to see more of them in Spider-Man 3 because they're !!! so !!! pure and adorable !!!

I love how Peter admires MJ so much despite the fact she's not your traditional female love interest at all. MJ is awkward, unconventional, blunt, and quiet. She could talk about murder and Peter would still look at her with heart eyes. I do think they happened super quickly, especially because Peter was head-over-heels for Liz in Homecoming, but I do think they're cute. Hopefully, they'll get more development.

PRINCESS MECHANIC

Pairing: Clarke Griffin x Raven Reyes
Fandom: The 100

Lol most of my favorite ships from The 100 aren't even canon🤡

I love Princess Mechanic more in terms of what could have been than the actual show, if that makes sense. I loved how their rift didn't last long in season 1 after Finn two-timed them both, and Clarke told Raven she would pick her first when she needed help. But I do wish they hadn't fought so much and that Raven hadn't blamed her for ,,, idk existing in season 6??? Like ma'am huh?? Bad writing once again. But season 7 fixed that and made their bond hella strong again, literally one of the only good things that happened in that season.

They would have had so ! much ! potential ! if JRoth wasn't a piece of shit.

PERALTIAGO

Pairing: Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago
Fandom: Brooklyn 99

First of all, if you haven't seen this show, WATCH IT.

Second, these two are my actual parents. Rivals to lovers?? YES!!!! They're each very competitive and are constantly trying to one-up each other, claiming that they don't like each other. But Jake puts on an elaborate scheme to make Amy go on a "worst date ever" with him when she loses a bet, and he puts so much freaking effort into it that it's CLEAR he likes her. But Amy is still oblivious.

Their romance has made me bawl my eyes out on numerous occasions and I love them so much. Toit nups.

ELAIA

Series: An Ember in the Ashes

Idk if that's even their ship name because I've never heard of a ship name for them, but it works.

I recently finished the last book in the series and WHEW. These two are the DEFINITION of slow👏🏻burn👏🏻 and they constantly had me dying. They have so much tension that I was sweating when they like. LOOKED AT EACH OTHER. I think their romance was written really well because Laia never wanted to give up on Elias, and Elias couldn't forget Laia. Keeping it vague because spoilers. Elias is one of my favorite literary male characters of all time and this ship is great.

KANEJ
Pairing: Kaz Brekker x Inej Ghafa
Series: Six of Crows

Fam. FAM. This is another ship where all they do is look at each other and I'm dead on the floor. Since Kaz has a severe phobia of skin-to-skin contact due to trauma, they've only touched. Like. Once. And the scene was literally just Kaz cleaning Inej's wounds, but holy shit I was fanning myself. It was so intimate and I was like "HE TOUCHED HER COLLARBONE!!!" and then screamed for 30 years.

Like. This quote: "I would have come for you. And if I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we'd fight our way out together— knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that's what we do. We never stop fighting."

Every time Kaz referred to Inej as "his Wraith" I cried. He got Inej out of prostitution and gave her a home. He tested her, but also had complete and utter faith in her. Plus when she was in danger, he would literally lose his mind.

Pairing: Adam Parrish x Ronan Lynch
Series: The Raven Cycle

I love two (2) teenage dads and their weird satyr daughter who can only speak Latin or say "KERAH!"

Ok this freaking SHIP. You've got Ronan, who's like 😡👊💥🚘✖️💣🧨 and Adam, who's like 🌿🤗🌸💫 and that's my favorite kind of dynamic. They were so soft with each other even though Ronan had about a solid six people on the Earth he cared about. They also break stereotypes because Ronan isn't your stereotypical gay guy either— he's masculine, tough, likes violence and tattoos, etc. They're not sidelined. Ronan beat the shit out of Adam's homophobic and abusive dad. True love!!

CINDERKAI
Pairing: Linh Cinder x Emperor Kaito
Series: The Lunar Chronicles

!!!! THEY !!!!

If you haven't read this series, DO IT !!!! It's fairytale retellings but with sci-fi twists and they're absolutely amazing books. Cinder and Kai have my heart. I can't reveal much without spoiling the first book, but Kai was so kind to Cinder even when most people weren't because of her status as a cyborg (who were viewed as "lesser") and so impressed with how much she knew. I love them so much.

BLUESEY
Pairing: Blue Sargent x Richard Campbell "Gansey" Gansey III
Series: The Raven Cycle

Another SLOWWWW BURRNNN.

The entire premise of the series is that Blue is supposed to kill her first love. She can't go around it, can't change fate. She'll kiss her true love and then they'll die. Her family is very connected with spirits and tarot readings, so she goes with her mother to help the spirits cross to the other side on St. Mark's Day even though she can't see them. But one night, she does. It's Gansey, and she can see him, which can only mean one thing: he's her true love, and she'll kill him.

So basically, after they meet, they spend the entire time being like "hahahahahaha we're soulmates??? nahhhhhhhhh" but they're too blind to see how in love they are. Also they can't even kiss because Gansey will DIE so you spend the series screaming at the pages when they get too close.

FEYSAND
Pairing: Feyre Archeron x Rhysand
Series: A Court of Thorns and Roses

So uh... if you want to read this series but haven't, skip this. It's spoiler central.

ENEMIES TO LOVERRRSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

I actually hated Rhysand the first time I read ACOTAR because I was too wrapped up in blindly liking T*mlin that I didn't realize how Rhys was actually helping Feyre Under the Mountain. I was even MAD WHEN HE CRASHED THEIR WEDDING AND TOOK HER!! LIKE BITCH??? We don't claim past me.

But anyway I quickly came to despise T*mlin and realize he was an abusive shitbag who was literally draining the life out of Feyre. Meanwhile, Rhysand reignited the spark in her, taught her to read and write, taught her to defend herself, and gave her an actual family. He proved that she was his equal, unlike T*mlin thought. He's her biggest fan and I love relationships that are like that!!
