Sometimes
I feel like a bird.
Locked inside a cage for eternity.
Never to be released,
But always able to see what's happening in the world around me.
The happy moments
The ones with smiles and tears,
Even the sad times,
I would rather experience than be here.
It's almost as if I have been given a punishment.
A punishment for a crime I never committed.
