Intro 2
The time has come for Power Struggle 2020. A lot of great matches were scheduled and fans from around the world gathered in the arena to watch the event, expecting some great matches towards the end of the year. New Japan was pushing the Pay-Per-View like crazy as soon as it was announced and knowing that Y/N was heading into his last match for the promotion, things had to be set in motion one way or another. He was facing Tetsuya Naito in a No DQ match after all and this was bound to get wild. After 5 great matches had already passed, it was time for mentor and student to meet as Naito made his entrance first.
Naito took a good look at the crowd as they cheered for him. He was happy to be there and to have such an important match, walking down the ramp with a smile on his face for a change. That didn't happen very often, but when it did, it was for a very good reason. The well dressed man got into the ring and performed one of his signature taunts before taking off the mask and waiting for his opponent.
Y/N was confident as he smirked, gazing across the crowd. He has been defending the IWGP Heavyweight championship throughout the year in several hard hitting matches, but he always came out winning. That rubbed a lotof people the wrong way as they wanted Y/N to get beat up badly. The young man locked eyes with Naito as he stepped into the ring and got right in his face.
Y/N:" You're not gonna take this from me, old man! This is mine and it will stay with me!"
Naito didn't listen though as he began to take off his suit while Y/N went to the opposite corner, getting rid of his vest. Both men knew what was on the line and what they needed to do to take each other to the limit. When the bell was rung, both men immediatly left the ring. They looked underneath to find anything usable, coming out with steel chairs. Now it was only a matter of who was faster as the first shot was dealt by Y/N to start off the extreme element to the match.
A few years back, Y/N would've never even considered using any objects in his matches, but this was a totally different kind of beast for him to tackle. He and Naito agreed on this stipulation and here they were. Y/N smiled before pulling his other mentor back to his feet.
Y/N:" I told you I would get you, but you just wouldn't listen! Do you think you could outsmart me that easily? Really? You're past your prime!"
Whoever said monologuing is a villain's greatest weakness in wrestling might have been right in that aspect, because when Y/N threw Naito to the ropes, the younger man paid dearly for it.
Everything was even again as both men sat up and looked at each other. They knew each other too well to make it easy. Since the steel chair from before was pushed out of the ring, both of them were heading for it as quickly as they could. It was a race against time to be honest as the fans watched with great curiousity. Y/N was about to grab the chair again, but Naito had a different idea as he hit a Tornado DDT on him.
Y/N's head hit the chair on the way down, so it was almost like a double hit. He was sure Naito smiled at that before sliding the chair into the ring with another one following shortly after because El Ingobernable had something crazy in mind. While Y/N was down, he put up the chairs back to back in the middle of the ring. The ref could just watch what was coming, just like the crowd did. Teacher and student had a rich history with each other from the day they started working with each other. It was only a matter of time until they would collide and Power Struggle was the perfect stage for it. Y/N slipped back into the ring and tried to surprise Naito, but the plan backfired and he was slammed onto the chairs back first.
The pain that was shooting through Y/N right now was highlighted by screams. He knew the spot was dangerous, but he went along with it anyways to keep the match interesting and the action alive. Speaking of keeping the action alive, Naito climbed to the top rope and made sure Y/N was in position before hitting one of his rarest moves.

Kickout!
Y/N wasn't out of it just yet. He could take a lot of damage and everyone in New Japan knew it. He had several top rated matches for a reason after all and this one wouldn't be any different as he rolled out again to catch his breath. It looked very much like Naito was up for a dive, but he actually swerved everyone.
Y/N:" Classic Naito. I knew he would do that sooner or later."
Y/N chuckled and shook his head at his mentor's behavior, but he wasn't just focussing on that. Instead, he finally was able to sneak in an attack of his own again by putting one of the chairs around Naito's ankle and stomping on it about five times.
It always takes two to tango as the exchange of taunts and moves went smoothly between them. Nobody thought things would go that way, but with such a situation, craziness was to be expected. The ref had to pry Y/N off of Naito to check on him while Y/N paced back and forth. His more methodical side was coming through now as he thought of what to do next. A lot of possibilities opened up in that moment and once Naito was almost back on his feet, Y/N used his speed to catch him off guard with a Brainbuster.

Kickout!
Another very close call for the match as Y/N gritted his teeth after Naito kicked out. It was all part of selling the angle of course as Y/N argued with the referee about the slow count, but in reality this was another set up for the next spot. He soon went over to the commentary table and pushed everything off that wasn't vital right now. He was hellbent on really taking Naito to the extreme that night as the commentators stepped back and Y/N dragged his opponent over to the table and onto the steel steps for added leverage before jumping off.
The crowd was standing up now all around the arena as they hoped both men were okay after that, but with the direction the match took, it wasn't too much longer until the finish phase would kick in. After everything they've went through already, their tanks were relatively empty, but not enough for one of them to quit. No countout as both of them moved away from each other, creating some separation. As if things weren't bad enough though, Y/N got himself a kendo stick from under the ring and began another brutal beatdown, showing no mercy whatsoever.

Dark red marks appeared all over Naito's back with every hit he had to take until the kendo stick was deemed unusable. It was hard to watch for some, but the brutality died down a little when Y/N brought him back into the ring. He looked down on the older man, smirking deviously at him as he began to talk.
Y/N:" Watch your words or your words might drown you, Naito! You know who I am? I am the bringer of war, armed with my hatred and more, and I'm here to set things right."
Naito:" You're a...son of a bitch!"
Y/N's eyes widened before they were filled with rage as he aggressively pulled Naito up and was about to hit his version of the Rain Maker, only to be reversed into the Destino.

3!
Tetsuya Naito has done it! He has dethroned Y/N and ended this reign of terror. The days of uncontrolled violence were over now as both men laid in the ring close to each other, Naito being awarded the IWGP Heavyweight championship. Confetti rained down in the arena as he got up and celebrated his victory while Y/N sat in the corner, drinking some water and taking a while to regain full consciousness. He was soon approached by Naito and brought into a tight hug.
Naito:" You are an incredible performer, Y/N. Anyone should be proud to be working with you."
Y/N:" Thank you, Tetsuya. I owe a lot to you and Okada since coming here. You two made me the man I am today."
Naito:" This may be your last match here, but a new horizon awaits you. Go out there and prove why you're one of the best...But for now, it's time for your farewell message."
Naito patted Y/N on the shoulder a few times before leaving the ring while Y/N got himself a mic and sat down in the ring again, legs crossed and scanning the crowd again. This was the night his stint in New Japan came to an end. Once the crowd calmed down, it was time for Y/N to talk.
Y/N:" What a way to end this one, huh? I wouldn't have thought that I would ever get this far...For the last 4 years, NJPW has been my home. The place I first made a name for myself. It was a crazy ride from being a Young Lion to becoming the man I am today...I look at all of you with a great deal of respect. You all are the driving force that keeps me going, the heart of this engine so to speak...I wanna thank everybody in attendence, everybody backstage, everybody at home. All this undying support has kept me going. The fun times at Meet&Greets, photo shoots, signing sessions, interviews. Everything will stay in my heart and my head..."
Y/N then got up as the emotions threatened to break loose, but he wasn't going to let them. He had more to say as he ran a hand through his hair.
Y/N:" Tonight was my last match in New Japan. 4 years strong and more to come. My biggest Thanks go out to Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito. These two took it upon themselves to teach me everything I know and need in this business. They pushed me past my limits and got me to be right in front of you all right here...And to anyone who thinks I'm retiring: you guys got another thing coming. My career is far from over. I may not be here anymore, but I will continue this journey in another country. This is not Goodbye, this is See You Later...Thank you all!"
Under heavy cheers and loud applause, Y/N waves at the crowd and bows respectfully. He has left a lot in this ring and he knew everyone that supported him was the cause for him to keep going. The only thing left to do now was to say a temporary goodbye to everyone and recover from the match.
