Twenty Three
Spencer's POV~
Emma held my hand as I pulled up at my childhood home. Snow filled the yard, and piled on the roof. Christmas lights were strung along the house.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Emma asked.
I smirked, "Not as beautiful as you."
She rolled her eyes, and glanced out the window. Emma's had a habit of doing that every time we visit Indiana. Looking down the street to her childhood home.
"I think someone moved in." She mumbled.
"Hey, maybe that's good." I whispered, kissing her cheek. She turned suddenly, placing her lips on mine. I gasped as she deepened the kiss. She pulled back, laughing to herself. I breathed, "Wow. What was that for?"
She giggled, "Eh. Just wanted to kiss you."
"But that kiss," I mumbled, "Wow."
"I love you," she smiled, leaning up to kiss my cheek.
"I love you too, baby." I whispered, gently squeezing her hand.
"C'mon. Let's get our things. It's cold without the heat on." She whined, quickly letting of my hand and getting out.
I sat there a second, sighing. Good lord, she was definitely something else. And my world.
I got up, slamming the door shut and shoving my keys into my pockets. I followed Emma to behind the car, and opened the trunk. She quickly grabbed her bags, and waited for me to grab mine.
"Thanks, gorgeous." I grinned as she shut the trunk for me.
She nodded, "You're welcome, now come on. It's cold and I wanna cuddle with Mac."
"But not with me?" I pouted.
She just smirked, turning around and flipping her hair over her shoulder. Man, she could be sassy, but I loved it.
I shook my head, laughing and following her. Mom was already at the door when we got up to the porch.
"It's good to see you two. Especially together." Mom smiled.
I laughed, "Thanks ma."
She grinned and let us in. I took a quick glance around the house, seeing all the different decorations. Emma laughed at me and headed up the stairs.
"On your way down, look up with Emma." Mom whispered, smirking.
I rolled my eyes, "Yes mom."
~*~*~
I listened to Emma laughing and talking with my parents. Good lord, her laugh was beautiful. Everything about her was beautiful.
"How's it been with Spencer?" Dad asked, suddenly turning serious.
"It's really good. He's amazing, and I love him. These six months with him have been the best." Emma replied.
"There's no fights, no nothing?" Mom asked.
I inwardly groaned. Of course my mom would ask that.
"We have our moments, but we can resolve them. Half the time, we're both crying messes because then we realize we were wrong somewhere." Em answered. "It's honestly crazy. We grew up together. I had the biggest crush on him in high school, along with every other girl. Now, I'm actually with him and I fell in love with him."
"I'm still waiting for the day where you become our daughter in law." Mom laughed.
"It's pretty clear that he loves you." Dad stated.
"I love him too. At our friends wedding, he said those three months without me were like hell. Even with Leah, he came back to me. Spencer means everything to me, and I'm doing everything in my power to keep him."
I smiled, hearing Emma confess that. She's my absolute world. She's like my heaven on earth.
"Thank you lord for letting me have her in my life. I don't deserve her." I whispered.
I heard Emma laugh, "Babe, you might as well join us. We can hear you."
I bit my lip. I was so close to getting away with that.
~*~*~
I rolled over, laying my face on Emma's back. It had to be only 4 am at the earliest.
I wrapped my arm around her waist, leaning up and kissing her cheek. I didn't know why, but I had been waking up earlier. And somehow, Emma was always with me when it happened.
"Why are you up?" Emma muttered.
"I don't know." I replied.
"Go back to sleep. I'm tired." She whined.
"Cuddle with me, then maybe I will." I smirked.
She sighed, "Fine."
She rolled over, laying her head on my chest and her arm over my stomach. I wrapped my arm around see waist as she snuggled into me. I gently kissed her forehead.
"I love you, Em." I whispered.
"I love you too," she mumbled.
"I don't think you understand how lucky I am to love you. To have you in my life, as my wonderful girlfriend. I literally thank God as much as I can for you." I explained.
She smiled to herself, then looked up at me. She quickly placed a kiss on my cheek.
"Oh, baby. You mean the absolute world to me. You could have any girl, but yet you choose me. If anything, I'm the lucky one."
She smiled again, snuggling into me.
Oh, yeah. She was definitely the one. I was blessed to have her in my life.
