Emma's POV~
Sunday night, I sat on the floor of our living room with Morgan. She had magazines and binders out, as well as her laptop and tablet.
She looked up to me and smirked, "Little does Donnie know, but I've been planning my dream wedding since I was a freshman."
"Wow." I laughed, "At this point, when I get married, you're planning mine."
She grinned at me, "Maybe I will."
I rolled my eyes, "You're crazy, Morgan. I still can't believe you're getting married."
"Well, you can believe that you are my maid of honor." She smiled.
"What? Morgan, thank you!" I exclaimed.
"You were my first friend in Nashville, not to mention you're my best friend. Plus, because of your job, I met Donnie." She explained.
"Wouldn't you want Harper to do that? She is your sister." I stated.
Morgan shook her head, "Nope. Harper can get on my nerves, and if things don't go her way, it's not happening."
I nodded, and Morgan began flipping through magazines. Most of which were probably out-dated.
Morgan groaned as someone knocked at the door. Avery yelped and jumped off the couch and began to stratch at the door.
I laughed, "I'll get it."
I pushed myself off the floor and went to the door. I gently pushed Avery away with my foot and opened the door.
Luckily, it was just the Stamper brothers.
"Donnie!" Morgan exclaimed, jumping up.
Joey and I both laughed as Morgan flung herself into Donald's arms. I had to admit, they were a beautiful couple.
"Come in, guys. We're just starting plan a wedding." I smiled.
Morgan pulled back from Donald's hug and took his hand, pulling him into our livingroom. Joey followed, and I shut the door. I sat on the couch, and Joey sat next to me, while the engaged couple sat on the floor.
"Well," Donald started, "Broseph is my best man."
Morgan giggled, "Emma's my maid of honor."

After a while, Morgan and Donald left to have time for themselves. Well, that's how they put it. So, Joey and I were left alone.
"Hey, about today," Joey started.
"What about today?" I asked.
He sighed, "It's about Spencer."
"Then I really don't care. He's own person." I stated.
"No. You don't understand. I don't how long him and Leah have been a thing, but he's already changed." He explained, "He's acting like a child. Normally, he'd stand up for you if you weren't there, not laughing along."
I shrugged, "Let him laugh. I really don't care anymore. He obviously doesn't care."
Joey sighed and shook his head, "That's not the point."
"Then what is it?" I huffed.
"I don't think Leah is who she says she is." He stated simply.
I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms and sighed. "I want to say that I don't care, but it's not that simple. It's up to him. He has to grow up and realize who God wants in his life, and who doesn't belong."
Joey exhaled, obviously not happy about my answer. But I couldn't care. I didn't control Spencer. I was no longer in the same position in his life that I was. Not that I controlled his life anyway.
"You're not gonna try to take him back?" He asked.
I shook my head, "No. I don't deserve him, and he deserves someone better than me."
"You're serious?" Joey scoffed, "Are you kidding? I wasn't the only one who saw it."
"Saw what?" I questioned.
He scoffed and stood up, throwing his hands in the air. He exclaimed, "Come on! You two were meant for eachother. He loves you! He wanted to marry you, for heavens sake! Emma, can't you see that?"
"Joey," I stated softly.
"Don't do that, Em. You're one of my best friends." He snapped, "I seen the way he looked at you. The way he broke after you left with him. He was devastated."
"You think I wasn't? Are you kidding? I still love him. It hurts to see him with Leah." I sighed, "And I had my reasons for leaving him, Joseph! Okay?"
"Like what?" He retorted.
I sighed and looked, bringing my feet to end of the couch. Immediately, I hugged my knees, bringing them to my chest.
"My mother." I mumbled.
"Misty? No. I don't believe it." He scoffed.
"It was Michelle." I spit, "My birth mother."
He rolled his eyes, "What'd she do?"
"She threatened him." I stated quietly, "She wanted to accuse him of assult. She's a powerful lawyer and could put him away. He didn't need to throw away his life and end up in prison for something he didn't do." I explained.
He sighed, "And they only way she wouldn't was if you left him?"
I nodded, "Yes. I didn't want to leave him, or hurt him. I was just trying to protect him. Goodness. I still love Spencer."
Joey took a couple of deep breaths, theb sat back down. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his body. Comforting me in a friendly way.
"I'm sorry for blowing up on you." He whispered.
I shrugged, "It's okay. This whole situation has put a bunch of stress on."
~*~*~
That next morning, I went to the office early. I knew Spencer; he'd be here early too. Like always.
He groaned as he entered. He grumbled, "Of course you're here."
I rolled my eyes and sighed, "Spencer, we need to talk."
He scoffed and sat down. He opened the mac and began to work while messing with his phone.
"About what? I have nothing to say." He mumbled.
I cocked my head to the side and raised an eyebrow. Giving him a 'really? That's a lie' look.
"Come on." I sighed, crossing my arms.
He sighed as well, then looked down.
"I don't really understand why you left. Did you not love me anymore?" He asked, his voice cracking.
