Emma's POV~

He stared at me, waiting for me to answer. I never did. I just stared back at him, with my arms crossed.

"Tell me, Emma." Spencer demanded, "Did you lose feelings for me?"

"No. I never lost feelings for you, Spencer. I still love you." I stated.

"Then why did you leave me? You don't leave someone you love." He huffed.

I sighed, "I wish I could tell you. I had my reasons."

He sighed as well and bit his lip. He just stared at me again with this unknown look on his face.

"Why can't you tell me?" He asked.

"Spencer, please." I begged, "I just can't. Maybe one day, I'll get the chance. Just be happy with Leah."

"I can't be happy with her if I still miss you. Emma, it's been merely two months." He stated.

He watched as I shifted in my seat and looked down at my lap. I took a deep breath, biting my lip.

"I know." I mumbled, "If it wasn't a big deal, then I wouldn't have left you. When I tell you, you'll understand. But, I'm serious. Be happy with Leah. I hope you fall in love with her and marry her."

"No you don't." He replied quickly, "Don't lie. You don't want me to fall in love with her."

"I'm trying to get over you. I'm trying to be happy for my best friend being in a relationship." I muttered.

He sighed and rolled his eyes, "Listen to me, Em." He leaned forward on the desk, folding his hands together. "That's the thing. I may like Leah, but I still love you. I don't want to be your best friend. I gave you that ring because I will always love you. I wanted our relationship to go somewhere. I had dreams for us. I wanted us to have your dream wedding. I wanted to live with you and raise a family."

I swallowed, not prepared to respond. I sighed and looked down, sniffling. When I looked back up at him, I gave a sad laugh.

"Spencer, you have no idea how bad I want to kiss you after that speech. It's just not right for us."

"Gorgeous-"

"No. Stop there. You should be calling Leah that, not me." I interrupted.

He sighed, "Emma, my feelings won't change for you. I might move on, but I would take you back in a heartbeat. I want you to know that. You'll always be the one I want."

"Then why are you with her? If you don't love her, and won't ever have feelings for her, what's the point?" I scoffed.

He frowned, "Even though I know my feelings won't change for you, I'm still hoping they will. I can't be caught up on you for the rest of my life."

Within a few hours, the guys were here, as well as Leah. Taylor, my sister, even brought Carson in. Since her and my dad, and stepmom were going to California.

Carson just sat happily in my lap, babbling little words I couldn't understand. Misty was right, Carson was a happy little boy.

I looked up as Leah scoffed.

"Is he yours? I wouldn't be surprised." She mumbled.

"No. He's not mine. He's my little brother." I responded calmly.

Leah rolled her eyes, "I doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if you cheated on him."

Joey snapped, "Leah. Knock it off. I don't care if you're dating Spencer or not. You will not disrespect Emma."

"What?" She laughed, "She can't defend herself."

I took a deep breath and remained calm. Though, I could feel the anger rising. I wasn't going to expose my baby brother to such anger.

Although, I wasn't the type to get so angry. I've only been this angry once.

"Can't you just keep my name out of your mouth? Please. I don't want to start anything." I begged.

Leah rolled her eyes again, then cuddled into Spencer. He gave a small sigh and placed his arm around her shoulders.

Carson continued to babble his little words. Even though I wasn't in the best mood, Carson was definitely helping.

"He looks like you." Leah muttered.

I bit my lip and nodded sarcastically, "No! He's my brother. We share the same father."

Chad snickered, "Point; Emma."

Leah scoffed and rolled her eyes. I don't think that she likes the idea of the guys being on my side. I think it's hilarious.

"I miss that." Spencer muttered under his breath.

Leah glared at him and hit his chest.

"Babe!" She whined.

"What?" He asked, "That's why she's my best friend."

My heart broke. His best friend. I know that I broke it off, but it still hurt. It hurt more than I could ever imagine. It felt like I was getting punched repeatedly.

"Hey, Em. Are you busy tonight?" Caleb asked.

I shook my head, "No. Not unless Morgan needs me."

"Kels wants to hangout, especially since you have Carson with you." He stated, "I think she wants a break from baby E."

I nodded, "Yeah. That's fine. Tell her she can come over later. We'll do something."

Joey laughed, "I'm sorry, but y'all sound like a mom group."

"You're goof, Joe." I muttered.

He grinned, "I know. When isn't J-Weezy a goof?"

"J-Weezy? Seriously? That's dumb." Leah stated coldly.

"It's my street name." Joey pouted.

Avery jumped around me while I held Carson on my hip as I answered the door. Avery was constantly barking and yelping at Carson, making him giggle.

Kelsey smiled as I opened the door, "Hey, Em."

I gently shooed Avery away with my foot. "Come in, Kels." I laughed, Acery still trying to get Carson's attention.

Whoop! Another chapter in. So, um, little emotional at first. Figured out Spencer's plan... Then I brought little baby Carson in. Maybe we'll see baby E soon. The Grimm babe.😉😏
