~*~*~ Two Months Later ~*~*~

Emma's POV~

I sat at a table in Chickfila with Donnie, waiting on Joey. Donnie sat there, tapping his fingers against the table absentmindedly.

I groaned and threw a fry at his face. "Knock it off. Calm down."

"I can't help it. I'm really nervous." He muttered.

I rolled my eyes, and began eating again. I was actually really hungry.

I sighed, "Today would've been our first anniversary."

Donnie looked me, "Really?"

"Yeah. Hard to believe, eh?" I nodded.

I sighed and looked down to my ring. I never took it off.

"You still missing him?" He asked.

"Yeah." I answered, "Yeah. I do. I don't know if I just him and the way we used to be, or if I just miss what we had."

"Hey! There's my bro!" Donnie exclaimed as Joey came to our table.

Donnie scooted over and Joey sat next to him. The two brothers began conversing a little as I sat there. I pushed my food forward and sat my head in my hand.

"Guys. I'm still here." I stated.

"Right! Anyway! I have amazing news." Joey grinned.

"Hey! Me too." Donnie smiled, "You go first."

"I've decided that I want to propse to Jewel." Joey announced.

"That's great, bro. I'm wanting to propose to Morgan." Donnie grinned.

I faked a smile and looked down. Wow. I really felt like a loner. My two best friends are going to propose to their loves.

Where was mine? I had no clue.

"Why am I here again?" I asked.

"I want you to help me. She's your best friend and I have no clue to what I'm doing." Donnie answered.

"Do you have a ring yet?" I questioned.

He shook his head, "No. Not yet, but I have one picked out."

He pulled out his phone and pulled up a picture, showing me. It looked simple yet conplex. The diamonds were absolutely beautiful.

"Wow. That is gorgeous. How is that even affordable?" I muttered.

Donald laughed, "I've been saving for something like this for a long time, Em."

"Well," I breathed out, "Let's plan this."

~*~*~

That next night, the whole group was going out to dinner. I was kinda nervous. This was really the first time I'd be with Spencer in two months, outside of work.

I sighed as I glanced at my appearance. I ran my fingers through my freshly straightened, blonde hair. The one thing Spencer said he loved most about me.

I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. I sighed, "I've got to stop thinking of him."

Morgan knocked on my door, "Man. You look hot."

"Thanks, Morgan." I laughed.

"Spencer's definitely gonna want you back." She muttered.

"I can't take him back." I frowned, "I can't."

She pursed her lips, "You know? I don't think it was just the fans. Normally, you wouldn't care what people think of you."

"My mother threatened him." I replied, "Not directly to him, but to me. She's a freaking lawyer. She's scary."

"I thought she disowned you." Morgan muttered.

I huffed, "She still likes to control my life."

"What exactly did she threaten him with?" She questioned.

"Accusations," I sighed, "With her skills, she could put him prison. He doesn't need that. Spencer has everything."

"Tell him." She suggested.

I shook my head, "No."

I looked back to my appearance, making sure I looked decent. My black blouse against the old faded, but nice looking, blue jeans with a simple pair of black ankle boots.

"You still look hot." Morgan shrugged.

I smiled, "Thank you. So do you."

~*~*~

Spencer showed up last to the dinner. He had one thing I never expected to see. Another girl on his arm.

Right then, I physically felt sick to my stomach. Him with another girl.

"Guys, this is Leah." He stated.

I had to say, she was pretty. Her wide jawline and brown eyes. Easily though, you could tell that her bleach blonde hair was artificial.

Spencer began introducing us to Leah. She scowled at me as he introduced her to me.

Great. Just what I need.

She sat down next to me and Spencer sat on the other side of me. I looked to Morgan, who sat to the right of me.

"Help." I muttered in her ear.

She leaned forward and peeked a glance at Leah.

She giggled, "You're so much cuter than her."

I sighed, "Excuse me."

I stood up and left the table, pushing ny chair in. I quickly walked across the restaurant to the restrooms. I couldn't deal with this.

After two months, he already another girlfriend? Wow.

I froze as I felt a hand around my wrist.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" A deep voice started, an Australian accent filling my ears.

I turned to face the man. He was quite handsome. Short light brown hair, and light brown eyes with slightly tanned skin.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Are you okay? You seem upset over at that table," he stated.

I shook my head and laughed, "It's a silly reason."

He smiled and leaned up against the wall, a lock of hair falling in his face. Small little dimples appeared at the corners of his mouth.

"You can tell me, you know?"

"Just, I broke up with my boyfriend two months ago, and he introduced us to his girlfriend." I sighed.

He laughed, "Lemme guess? You're still not over him?"

"No. I'm not," I stated.

He gave a grin, "Maybe I could help."

"I still don't your name, sir." I smiled.

"Levi Young," he replied.

~*~*~

I watched as Donald took Morgan's hand, and stood up. I giggled as she gave him a look. He gently led her around the table.

He reached his hand into his pocket, then began to get down on one knee.

Morgan gasped and covered her mouth as she smiled.

"Morgan, baby, you're crazy and absolutely insane, and drive me crazy. But I don't want anyone else doing it. Will you marry me?"

Morgan nodded, "Yes, baby. Yes."

Donald smiled and stood up, slipping the ring onto her finger. With the box between his thumb and finger, he cupped her face and kissed her.

Immediately, all of us began applauding.

I couldn't be more happier for my friend, but I was upset. It could've been Spencer and I. It should've been us.
