Spencer's POV~

That next morning at the office, Emma wouldn't look to me, or acknowledged me. Was it because I had Leah with me last night?

Last I knew, she was flirting with some guy. Why would she care? She was the one who left me.

I looked down as my phone buzzed. I grinned as it was a text from Leah.

I didn't know what it was about her, but Leah was absolutely amazing.

I looked to the guys across the room, "Do you guys care Leah comes here?"

Chad shrugged, "Why not?"

Emma groaned and began gathering her things. She sighed, "I'm going out to lunch. See you guys later."

"Do you have something against Leah? You don't know her." I scoffed.

"I don't have anything against her. She has something against me. And I'm not gonna sit here and watch you two." She stated.

"You were the who left me," I muttered.

"Don't even pin this on me, Spencer." She huffed.

"I wasn't the one who broke up with you." I smirked.

Caleb groaned, "Great. Again."

"Nope." Emma replied, "I'm going to hang out with Levi."

I snickered, and Emma glared at me. I gave a little grin. She rolled her eyes and turned around, flipping her blonde hair in the process. Oh, how I missed running my fingers through her hair.

"Really, man?" Joey asked as she left, "That's shallow."

"I'm not dating Leah to make Em jealous. I'm dating Leah because I actually like her." I stated.

"Considering you wanted to marry Emma two months ago." Chad muttered.

"Why are you always on my case? Emma wasn't right for me. God is still working, and I'm still moving on." I sighed.

"Did you ever talk to Emma about what happened? Maybe you could help her look past it," Caleb suggested.

"Why would he talk to Emma? She broke his heart," Leah muttered, walking in.

I smiled, "Hey, babe."

I stood up as she made her way over. I quickly kissed her as she pulled a chair over to my desk.

"Hey," she whispered, sitting down.

"How was work?" I asked.

She smiled and locked our fingers, "It was pretty good, so was class today."

"Where do you work?" Chad questioned her.

"Chickfila. It's just something to help me through college at this point." Leah answered.

About an hour later, Emma returned. She didn't say a word to any of us. She didn't even look at us.

"How was your date with Levi?" I asked.

"None of your business, and it wasn't a date." Emma muttered.

"Ask him out. Maybe you won't hurt him." Leah snickered.

Emma scoffed, "Why don't you mind your own business as well. I wasn't talking to you."

Joey grinned, "Go Em!"

"Shut up, Em." Leah mumbled under her breath.

I pursed my lips and snickered. This was actually kind of funny. I don't know why, but it was.

Emma sighed and turned to the three guys, "Can I go? I'll work on it at home."

Caleb nodded, "Yeah. No problem."

"Thanks." She replied. Emma gathered her things and left again.

"Thank goodness." Leah laughed as Emma left.

Joey scoffed and shook his head. The other two did the same thing.

"What?" I asked.

They ignored me and kept working. Leah sighed and turned to me. "I have to go back to work, I'll text you later."

"Okay. I'll see you later," I whispered, kissing her as she stood.

She kissed my cheek and left. Then silence came. I think I knew what was happening. Joey, Chad and Caleb were probably mad at me for some unknown reason.

"Spencer, you're my best friend, but seriously? Stop acting like a kid, and keep Leah under control if she's here." Joey stated.

"I'm not acting like a kid." I remarked.

"Yeah. You are." Caleb muttered, "You don't treat someone like that, let alone your ex. Come on, you two are best friends."

"Nope." I laughed, "That stopped when she broke things off."

Joey sighed, "You've got to be kidding me? She felt like she had too. Did you see the things your fans were posting? That stuff hurts, especially if you aren't used to the public like that."

"You need to talk to her, man. She's still your best friend, and she still has feelings for you." Chad stated.

I scoffed, "Right? That's why she's off with Levi."

Joey shook his head, obviously not happy with me. I didn't really care. I wasn't going to let them control my life. Nobody did, but me.

So, really sucky chapter, but we can already tell the relationship between Emma and Leah. I'm so excited..
