Adeline POV

Long story short after half a day of basic classes and lunch basic hero training started and All Might came in making his usual dramatic entrance. We then got in our hero costumes and went to a training ground. The rules were basic enough one team would playing villains while the other would be playing the heroes, the heroes win if they touch the weapon or catch the villains while the villains have to hide the weapon in one of the floors of the building and win if the time limit ends without the heroes securing the weapon or capturing them, they could also win by capturing the heroes. They had to draw to choose the teams and which side they'd be playing, even though my seat number is number 1 when I went to draw a lot All Might stopped me. 

"Now stop right there young Adeline. One team will have to have 3 members instead of 2, so it would be a 3 on 2. I've known you since you were a little girl and because of that I'm aware of your potential and your relationship with Todoroki. I've heard that the two of you work amazing together." He started making me tilt my head, where's he going with this?

"So for this exercise you won't be drawing a lot. You'll be placed against him." My eyes widen as I look at Shoto to see his eyes widen as well looking at me.

"Wait a minute how is that fair? She would be added to the team against Todoroki?" Asked one of the students.

"I assume neither of you have ever tested your abilities against each other correct?" All Might asked as I shake my head swallowing.

"Then I believe this will be the perfect chance for that! I'm looking forward to it." He says and with that the drawing started without me being included. How was this any fair? I don't want to hurt Shoto and I'm sure he doesn't want to hurt me either. We've always been a team, we know each other better than ourselves.. I have to say I'm sorta looking forward to this as well. Soon we were sent to the monitory room to watch the first fight. They were pretty reckless, and the freckled kid got hurt badly. Next fight was Shoto, I look at him and then at the people I'll be working with as Villains.

"Let's make this interesting Shoto." I say looking at him as did he.

"Who ever loses has to do one thing the winner says. So no pulling punches babe." I say smirking before going to the two I'll be working with walking into the building.

"You two stay on the 4th floor and protect the weapon no matter what, Shoto will probably freeze this whole building so I wouldn't recommend taking your shoes off. That being said." I say touching the wall as it broke into small and big pieces moving them hitting slightly the invisible girl and the guy with the tail just enough to push them back to the weapon next to me without hurting them and started doing a barrier.

"Now stay quiet." I whisper placing my finger over my lips. Both my teammates and the weapon were protected from Shoto's ice, not even a second later the horn rang signaling the start of this. We all stay quiet and not even a minute later ice surrounded the room making me smirk.

"I'll take care of him. I'm sure you can take care of the other one if he comes." I say taking a long breath closing my eyes. I place my hand on the pieces I used to make the barrier as it breaks letting me out. I keep my eyes closed hearing his footsteps as he came closer.

"Cleaver." He says and as soon as I hear him move I snap my eyes open erasing his ability and stomping my foot on the ground making sure I only broke his ice and not the ground and those pieces of ice flew his way.

"Shit." I hear him say as he dodges them my eyes still on him.

"Give up Shoto, you'll never beat me like this." I say.

"You have to blink sometime." He says as he successfully avoided the ice I threw at him.

"Yeah but that won't be any time soon, after all these glasses keep my eyes moisturized enough to keep them open for much longer." I say. I can see him thinking before deciding to run out of the room making me pout and slightly smirk when the ice started melting.

"How did you do that?" The invisible girl asked.

"He knows me to well to battle with me alone or to get too close. And I can't destroy this building either, the other guy's quirk.. what was it?" I ask looking at the one with the tail.

"Uh, I think he was able to replicate body parts at the tip of his tentacles." He answers and I place my hand on my chin.

"Well that won't help him much.. what the hell is he planning?" I mumble before remembering the tape.

"He's gonna try and capture me or somehow cover my vision." I say sighing.

"Well it won't work Shoto." I mumble.

"I've been meaning to ask, what's your relationship with him?" Asked the girl.

"Huh? Oh he's my boyfriend." I say and suddenly I hear steps running this way.

"Heads up!" I say just as a completely covered with ice Shoto came in freezing the floor again and I used acceleration with the tape in hand placing my hand on his left side breaking the ice over his skin and wrapping the tape around his hand before wrapping him with it from there.

"Sorry." I say as I finish and he gives me a small smile.

"This was expected anyway." He says making me smile. It was a fact, one of my abilities allows me to strip him of his quirk while if he got too close to fight me it would just end up hurting him, plus he's not nearly as competitive as I am.

"Now to get the other one." I say looking back seeing my teammates trapped with the ice.

"Can you stay like that just for a minute while I capture the other one?" I ask.

"Yeah, we'll be fine." She says and I nodded running out of the room until I found the guy.

"Hello." I say smirking accelerating my body and wrapping the tape around him as well before he knew what had happened.

"The villains win!" I smile and untie the guy and going back to the room where Shoto had already melted the ice and someone had untied him.

"Congratulation." He says as I smile guiltily taking his hand in mine.

"No hard feelings?" I ask him as he shook his head.

"Honestly I don't think anyone can beat you." He says making me smile and hug his side as we walk.
