Dustin prepared himself, ready to talk to Mike. Approaching the door of his room, he knocked. "Go a-away..." someone choked out. It was Mike, and it sounded like he had been crying.

He opened the door to see his friend on the floor, a picture of Will and himself on the floor. He stared blankly at it, the faces of two friends smiling back up at him. Mike looked up at Dustin through tears with bloodshot eyes, anger written on his face as plain as day. "What do you want?"

Dustin sat on the floor and glanced at his friend hesitantly. "I'm sorry if the whole thing upset you, it's just... I like him. I really, really do. And you can't stop that."

The taller boy stood, glaring at Dustin. "You see what you did? You've turned him into... into a-"

I'm certain the word that Mike said was very evident in context, but it is so vile, so horrid that I can't even bring myself to write it. Let's just say Dustin was not happy with his friend.

"You think he's gay because of me? You think I've made him that way?" His voice grew louder with every word, and he stood toe-to-toe with Mike.

"Yes! If you hadn't have come along-"

"Now this is my fault?!"

"OF COURSE IT'S YOUR FAULT!"

Will burst into the room, tears streaming down his face. "Stop! Please, just stop!"

Dustin ran over to Will, holding the small boy in his arms. He rubbed his back, murmuring into his ear.

He glared at Mike over Will's shoulder, trying not to fuel the flame of anger. When they broke away, their fingers stayed intertwined.

The tall, black haired boy had one thing to say to the two of them: "Get the hell out of my house. Both of you ----."

Will sobbed again, but the two left. As Dustin walked with his boyfriend, he said, "Don't listen to him. We can't change who we are, but we can't bow to others and let them change us."

"That's really deep. I'm surprised at you, Dustin."

"You should hear what I say when I'm on a sugar buzz."

The small boy giggled, and Dustin grinned.

No one will take him away from me.
