I should be, but I'm not. Instead I'm ranting.

Okay, I was on Shamchat last night. I had entered some information of a character that I made up for roleplay purposes, and I also included that she was pansexual. Because, you know, I am.

So, I found someone to talk to. They were like, "Oh, you're a pan? Interesting choice of character."

That alone was enough to frustrate me, but there's more. I explained that I was a pansexual, not an actual frying pan. They literally called me a 'new-age homo'.

I was just sitting there, staring at the screen of the laptop, shaking my head.

I explained what pansexuality was, and they said, "Well, how can you be attracted to a person's heart? That seems iffy."

I also explained that pansexuals can be attracted to nonbinary people, and they said, "Special titles for special snowflake kids. You can't be neither gender."

I wish I could say that I snapped. But, no, I was a good person and tried to reason with them. They said that, "All homos should die of AIDS."

Just... what the hell?

If someone identifies as nonbinary, or pansexual, or homosexual, you honestly have no right to diss them. Especially since I was on the internet.

Pansexuals take enough shit as it is, what with being called 'greedy' for liking all genders. We honestly shouldn't have to deal with assholes like them, but we do. And I am so proud to be a pansexual in a world filled with so much support.
