Chapter 41

JIN'S POV

I lead her to the car and opened the windows so that she was comfortable.

"Thank you for the consideration," she said formally and I nodded. I'll get back our friendship no matter what. I hate this formality.

As we started, the music system trailed off with 'Yours' as the very first song. A brush of my normally pale skin told that I was blushing out of embarrassment as it was my own song. I was about to change the song when she deliberately increased the volume a bit.

"Sorry, this is one of my favourite songs. If you don't mind," she asked with expectant eyes and like I could ever deny them, I just acquiesced to her.

I love how she is still herself when I am by her side. She doesn't hesitate to appreciate or even fangirl like she is doing right now.

"Oh God, your voice is so expressive," she blurted out, her face expressing her astonishment as if she is first time hearing it. I could not help but smile, even giggle a bit.

The roads were all empty so, it was just her, me and the music. So idyllic.

"Oh that's the main part, let's sing this together," she asked, a sort of excitement in her voice.

"Yeah sure."

The music proceeded as we both sang together, "La Ta Ta Ta... La Ta Ta Ta..."

I looked towards her and she was moving her head while singing, so much into the rhythm. She looked so vibrant but fiery. Her hair moving in the wind as if back dancers to her aura.

"Jin shi, look ahead!!" She yelled suddenly and I looked forward at the car approaching us with a tremendous speed. I quickly turned the steering wheel to protect us and luckily, I was able to, as the car stopped with a screech on the footpath.

The force making both of us fall forward a bit. I composed myself and looked at her. She was breathing heavily as her hands gripped the seat belt. Some of her hair caught in her eyelashes but she didn't care, as the sweat formed on her face and neck made her hair stick to her skin.

"Are you fine?" I asked and she nodded. She wasn't fine at all. Damn, I am so stupid!

I pulled out the water bottle and lent it towards her. Her hands were trembling in trepidation, she couldn't even open the bottle cap.

"Let me do it," I offered as I took the bottle again, opening it for her and guiding it to her lips. She took a few sips but she was hyperventilating.

I got out of the car and opened the door to her side, "Come out, breathe in some fresh air."

She nodded, fumbling a few times to press the button of the seat belt to open it. She took support of the car frame to stand when her knees buckled, causing her to sit back.

Shit! I was supposed to make things better, what am I doing? How can I be this careless?

I didn't know how to react, how to make her feel better.

"I- I wanna get out of here," she mumbled, her eyes fluttering as more droplets of sweat formed over her forehead.

I forwarded my hand in her direction, "Here, take my support."

She placed her little hand in mine and I held onto it firmly, giving her the support to stand up but as she did so, her eyeballs rolled up and she landed unconscious in my arms.

My breathing hitched and I panicked. I tapped lightly on her cheeks while her head rested my chest.

"Mi? Wake up?" I asked. One of my arm was circling her waist to keep her from falling. I slowly made her sit back in the car, I buckled her seat belt and without further delay raced off to the nearest hospital.

A monstrous fear taking over my sane side rendering me incapable of making any reason out of my actions. I just wanted her safe and sound. I parked the car and instantly, a nurse attended us, her eyes widened as she saw us but she eventually took her in.

She was taken to the VIP ward but my fear was no where reduced. It was slowly eating me up, a guilt that rode through my veins made it so. My index finger was constantly flickering the cuticle of my thumb as I bit on my lower lip.

The doctor came out in no time, "Don't worry, she was just shocked so fainted. A little rest and she'll be fine."

A colossal wave of assuagement washed over me and I bowed conveying my gratefulness to him. I called Namjoon and informed him of what happened. Probably, they will be here in no time. I have no explanation, I feel guilty and pathetic. It was all my fault. She is here because of me.

"Oh, there," I heard someone say and I looked towards Aera, Ari and Dami running towards me. Behind them were Jimin, Hoseok and Namjoon.

"Where's she? Is she okay?" Ari asked frantically.

"She is inside, she is okay. Doctor said she just fainted out in shock."

Dami sighed in allievation, her hand reaching to her chest.

"Are you okay?" Aera asked and I nodded.

"Can we go inside?" Jimin asked. Maybe. Why didn't I go in yet? Maybe because I was so guilty?

"I think."

All of them rushed in towards the ward altogether. I silently followed behind them, standing near the door. She was sleeping soundly on the bed.

"Well Unnie scared the fuck shit out of me!" Dami blurted out.

"Yeah, I almost cried," Ari sniffled. Dami pressed Ari's head against her shoulder, patting her head.

"Shut up you idiot, you cry for no reasons."

Namjoon approached me, his face muscles stiff, "I hope you know the consequences of this."

"That's what I was thinking about," I responded and he sighed.

"Well then, we will see to it. Let's first let Mi Yi shi recover."

"Hope she is well soon," Hoseok said and almost in that instant, Mi's eyes opened.

Dami turned back to him with literal heart in her eyes as she kneeled down, "I had found the God."

Jimin and Hoseok laughed at it. While Aera kicked her slightly as she got up again with a pout. Again, Aera is a bit strict.

"Dumbass idiot! You absolute bagel! You scared us, shithead!" Aera passed aggressively.

That was a whole lot of curses.

"What? Absolute bagel?" Hoseok questioned and then bursted out laughing.

Aera glared back at him and he instantly dropped the smile. No doubt, she was intimidating.
