Fire danced on decadent surfaces in the dry darkness of the room. She could smell him long before he crept up to her, his suit deliciously cut. She licked her lips. He noticed. His arm was around her waist in a heartbeat, his lips inches away from the soft, delicate cut of her neck. She felt him luxuriate in her excess and she joined him. They just stood, his hot lips just barely touching, his pressure gently pushing her back to the bookshelf. "That's a first edition Dickens. I bound it myself, of course." he had said when their meal had just commenced. He named many other names she did not really know but recognized faintly. That excited her now. Her back (nude now that her silky soft bra lay on the floor) touched all of those old books and she could feel the salt of her chilled sweat smear over them all. He was f***ing her over his collection of hand-crafted knowledge. She felt such power! He kissed her, once they had gripped each others' rhythms well enough for her to capture the beat. She needed the beat of course, lest she miss a step.

"What do I taste like?" she breathed.
"The sea." he said "And me?"
"Like something else." She smelled it first. Beneath the champagne. Beneath the soft musk. Something alien. Something was oozing down her back. She did not open her eyes and she did not let up with the rhythm and the ecstasy he was giving her (or thought he was giving her) was still evident on her face. She looked only when she heard the clicks of his mandible. His flesh was on the ground now, right next to his deliciously cut suit and he prepared with his chitinous chattering little mouth to feast. He was green, of course. And horny (she felt up to that double entendre). His eyes were enormous yellow budges.
"Where you from?" she had asked him at Comic-Con yesterday.
  "From Planet 9, baby. And you?"  
And as the mermaid prepared to indulge in her first sacrifice in months, she remembered her ridiculous Ariel suit.  "Under the sea."
