I left the stage for the tournament victorious. Walking down the hallway that lead up to the arena. I met my friends Jack, Crow, Akiza, Luna, Leo, and Yusei. Out of all of them I was closest to Yusei.

We came in for a group hug as they were telling me congratulations.

Though when I first entered the duel tournament. Jack and Crow were making bets on what round I would lose. I was so ticked I wanted to show them that I could win. And I did. Now that I think about it, they did that to encourage me......They better have.

Everyone pulled away from the hug, save one. Yusei. He is like a big brother, always there for me and always will be. The same goes for me. I will be there for him whenever. Not in let me return the favor kind of way. But in a that is what friends are for.

We tightened the hug before separating. All I could do was grin stupidly. It was so big not only could it rival Crow's, it could split my face. And I think it was blinding the others. Before I could do any damage to everyone's eyes and before I die because my head splits in half. I stopped, though I could not stop smiling so happily.

Crow put his arm around my shoulders. "Since she won!" He started his proposal. "We must take her to that new ice-cream shop." Truly he wanted to go really badly. He has been saying that we need to go, we must go. I could not deny him nor the others. This was a time to celebrate! Mostly the reason I want to go is because it will be cold. Those lights in the arena are hot~!

"Then what are waiting for!" Leo piped as he jumped all excited. After truly agreeing on this proposal Leo and Crow dashed out the door like the shop was about to close down. The rest of us just nicely walked toward the door that lead out of the arena. Jack, Aki, and Luna continued as Yusei stopped moving. I turned around to see the reason why. He was looking back at something though I don't know what.

As I neared him I reached out and put a hand on his shoulder causing him to jump slightly. "Sorry," I muttered. "What is wrong?" All he did was shake his head and headed for the exit. I looked back trying to see what he saw or was looking for. I saw nothing, but, I had this awful feeling, I didn't like it.

Hearing Yusei call my name brought me out of my trance. I listened to his calling and joined him. "Where is everyone?" I looked around once I joined him. "I guess they did not notice we stopped." I followed his gaze to where they went to.

"Want shaved ice instead?" I looked at him with a confused face. He caught me by surprise that was for sure. He shook his head slightly with a...WAIT. He smirked! That's rare!

"Are you ok?" Poking his cheek, which he was not every happy of. Cause he grabbed my hand and moved it away a bit. Well, I think he wasn't too happy about it. I followed with my head as he did that then looked back to him. Looking into his eyes I saw worry and sadness. He never shows such emotions. I should know I have looked into his eyes before. The worry in his eyes were fresh with strength and the sadness was strong with build up over time.

"Let's go get some shaved ice." I told him thinking it would be a good idea to be alone and talk. We walked together in quietness to the vendor. Ok, now this is killing me. "Is it shaved or crunched?" I needed to say something it was killing me "Shaved." I looked back that one word told me something was up. Either he is thinking of something or he is letting his past eat at him again. Oh~ we are not going down that road again.

"One shaved ice with pineapple and Hawaiian Blue, please." I ordered, he was not getting out of this. He gave me a look before opening his mouth to order. Whatever combo I do I get weird looks. I realized he was about to order I pulled his hand and grabbed my order as I paid. I left the vendor with Yusei in tow when I realized I forgot the spoons.

Yusei used one of the spoons. That I had no idea he had them. With his free hand, he carefully scoped up some of the pineapple side and stuck, no stuffed it in my mouth. Nothing registered. Nothing. Until I tasted that wonderful pineapple. I hummed at the wonderful taste. I guess he realized my plan of sharing. He does like Hawaiian Blue. I like it too, but~, pineapple is better.

Yusei pushed me causing me to fall over and dropping the shaved ice. I was about to yell at him when I heard screaming. I looked up and saw my opponent from the duel had stabbed Yusei with metal of sorts.

Yusei pulled the shard out as he fell on his knees. Blood ran out of the wound and on his hand as he pressed on it. I took the shard that Yusei pulled out into my hand. Yusei called my name in pleading for me not to hurt him.

Oh, yeah.......I forgot about him. He spat out nonsense. I have no idea what he said too much was running through my head. My worry turned into anger as I looked at him. My fist quavered as I neared him.

"Don't do it." Yusei begged me as I closed in on the guilty man. I did not hear him with all the blood that had rushed into my head.

Yusei sighed and everyone gapped.

I punched him in the face nocking him out. How dare he  hurt Yusei.........................................No, he tried to hurt me.

Then I put my original plan with the shard in my hand to use. I cut part of my shirt then preceded to tare the rest of it. Leaving me in a cropped top. I got down to Yusei's level giving him a sorry look as I helped him take off the jacket. "The shirt too." I blushed at my own words. Not noticing my blush. I hope. He lifted up his shirt. Oh, my.....No time to drool. I had to snap myself away from that incredibly toned body. My blush grew darker as I wrapped his body in the scraps I tore off.

I walked down the hallway in the hospital. They just now are letting people see him. Though it is just me the others don't know yet. I nocked on the door that held the number they told me he would be in. As I opened the door I stood there with an awkward smile seeing the doctor.

I tried to explain why I was here seeing the scary scowl on his face. As he passed me to leave through the door he ruffled my hair and said good job.

"The ambulance would not let me on with you." I explained when I got over my confusion. Sitting in the chair next to the bed I took his hand. "I am sorry." Is all I could say.

"Don't be, I am glad you are not hurt." I looked at him in disbelief. "I am glad you did not stab him." I chuckle cautiously. "I kinda forgot about him." That earned a snort from Yusei which in turn earned a glare from me.

"I am truly sorry, even for the shaved ice." Ah! I forgot about the shaved ice. "That is ok," I said as I laid my head on him wary of his wound. "That means you take me out another time." I smiled as he ran his fingers through my hair. "You know that looks uncomfortable," he looked away with a, blush? "Do you want to lay next to me?"

I took his offer  for it really was not that comfortable. So then I laid carefully next to him laying my head on his chest. Sleep was soon to follow.
