Light and Dark
Hikari and Yami, Yin and Yang, light and dark. They say be wary of those Angels and demons, those with two wings. I say be wary of the one winged ones. Those hold both light and dark. A two personality Angel.
They are not bad or good. Though there is a one winged one that you need to fear. He is known as Hikari and his darker is known as Yami. Unlike a one wing Hikari and Yami do not share a body. There is a legend to those two.
Legend has it that both were two wings before meeting each other. Some unfortunate event left one of Hikari's wings damaged to the point he could no longer use it. The damage left Hikari to the mercy of Yami. Yami could not find it in himself to harm the little pure light. He tore the broken wing at the base on the shoulder and taring his own to match the Hikari.
The Yami then took care of the Hikari until he was better. Yami did not want to leave the pure Light's side nor did the Hikari wanted to leave the Dark's side.
Is the story that the stop keeper told me I hardly believed a word he said. How can that be true?
I walked to an empty park. No one danced their feet across the grass in the field to get to the playground. There was not even one kid dancing through the integrated maze of metal.
The story the shop keeper told me continued to go through my head. When he mentioned Hikari and Yami I had a picture popped in my head. Hikari a petite pale male with tri-colored hair of golden bangs and black spiky hair tipped with crimson. Yami a stronger male to Hikari, with a slight tan his hair was the same save for extra bangs that shot up.
I neared the lake in the park believing to be alone, until I past two males. I gave them an awkward hello -mostly awkward to me. A few steps away from them now did I realized something was familiar. I turned around to look at them better to see that they left. I looked there for a few more seconds to ask myself if I was crazy. Sighing I turned back to the lake.
"Sorry." I squeaked when I bumped into someone. I stepped back to look at him and to apologize again. My step back failed as I felt arms hold me close to him.
"Found you." The mysterious man said in such a tone that a shiver ran down my spine. I soon felt another body press against my own in a hug. "Hikami, don't ever do that again." A stern yet soft and gentle voice seemed to scold me. I pealed the two off of me so I could really look at them.
The petite male looked hurt at the action, the other held him in an embrace to comfort him. A feather tickled my face before I realized that they were Hikari and Yami.
"Y-you, y-you-" Stuttering as I stepped back with a quivering pointing finger. "You do remember." Hikari said with such delight it is hard to deny. I could not flow with it, I had to say something. "I-I-I-I-" I continued to stutter the one word. Of course I was scared, I was told to fear them for many reasons.
"I guess we will have to fix that." Came a voice from behind, then did I realized that when Hikari said that Yami must have gotten behind me. Curse slow human reaction time. Just as he finished say his line did he poke me with two fingers expertly on my back. Where he had poked me in my back started to burn and the skin felt like it was tarring.
The pain was so great that I started to black out. Before I faded to the darkness I felt two pair of arms hold me. "We missed you our child." I think was said for I blacked out.
As I awoke I tried to set up with no avail. Two set of arms held me down both tightening as I moved. Trying to squirm free I let out a hiss of pain. I forgot about my back. Tears stared to fall from the burning pain now coursing on my back. No longer able to hold it I let out a whimper of pain as the tears increased.
The arms that were around me loosened up allowing me to sit up and off my burning back. I looked around to take me off the pain. I was in a room that was not my own, I was no longer in my city I grew up in. I was in a room of.....not much, it was dark so making out details was going to be little hard. For what I could tell I was in a four poster bed with a path for curtains, which were drawn back opening it up. A wall full of windows mostly covered by curtains let in every little light.
"Hikami?" Was a gentle whisper to me. "Are you alright?" Was another whisper that continued to send shivers down my spine.
"It burns." Was all I could muster out. I turned to face the two with a contorted face of pain. Right away they new what was wrong for both of their faces no longer soft with worry they were softy with pity and understanding.
Hikari moved to close the curtains around the bed as Yami readjusted himself to near me. I felt hands at the bottom of my shirt not knowing what exactly was going on I grabbed his hands to stop him.
"It will help with the pain." He whispered into my ear. I did not know what to do. Looking to Hikari to see what he would say. Only to find him not facing me and is shirtless with many scars. The one that stood out the most was a fairly large scar who's shape that matched the base of his wing. He looked back at me through the corner of his eye then he left the bed.
By the time I remember why I looked at Hikari, Yami ripped the shirt over my head before I realized what happened. I hissed in pain from the little movement my shoulder blades made caused pain to shoot through. My cheeks flustered pink being left in my undergarment. Yami's touch to my forehead calmed me down and the flustering did as well.
"Seems like your body remembers the touch." He was right despite being scared I like or I calmed to their touch. Hikari came back with a bowl and strips of cloth and a hanky in the bowl. He handed Yami one of the strips of cloth then preceded to remove the pillows off of the bed. I watched Hikari not noticing the strip going up to my mouth. Again I curse slow human reaction time. The cloth was in my mouth the moment I noticed it. Fear shook in my eyes as they darted place to place, my breathing then became shallow.
"Shhh," Yami soothed noticing I was about to hyperventilate he continued. "You need to breathe right, or it will make it worse." He said it in such a dark tone that I could not help but cry.
"Lay down." Hikari instructed me. I did not obey, which I learned right then and there listen the first time. "Lay down." Was Yami's dark and threatening voice that turned me into a baby. Good grief if that cannot turn the greatest daredevil into a baby or scare the boogie man I don't know what will. I learned my lesson. Thanks to the pain on my back, it made it hard to move and readjust myself to face the bare head board that Hikari removed the pillows from. A shiver ran down my spine from feeling Yami's dark and threatening gaze. Despite the pain I made sure I spared no time to lay down quickly and carefully on my stomach.
I felt hands on my ankles as they moved them and tied them up. A covered gasp left my mouth from feeling a cold wet cloth on my back were Yami had poked me earlier. A pillow was put in front of my face I took it and squeezed the stuffing out of it.
"Yami, please go get something to soak up the blood, I don't want it everywhere." He so gently asked in such a calm matter. Then I saw Yami was shirtless as well. The scars on him were different to the ones on Hikari. Those scars on Hikari were from a sword, what was those from? I looked next to the base of his wing to see similar scar to that of Hikari.
I would ask why they had such scars but that would have to wait. I was still gagged. A moment of burying my face into the pillow did I screamed in the gag. I felt as if I was being stabbed in my back in two spots at the same time. The gag could hardly hold the next scream I let out. Yami then came in. "Here." He said as he neared the bed. I had buried my face in the pillow. So my surroundings was unknown to me
The pain of little sharp bones breaking my skin was awful, it was so bad I really don't know how to describe it. My relentless screaming continued as the pain began to continue to grow. Warm liquid flowed down my back soon meet with a cloth that Yami brought in.
"Shhh, Hikami it will be over soon." Cooing me calming me down to try to help ease my pain by cooling my burning back with the wet cloth. I felt a slight heavy presence on my back as I tried to move my arms to move it, there was uncontrolled movement from this thing. I hissed and Hikari soothed. He placed his hands on my growth. Still no clue to as it was. Gently he moved it the way it was meant to bend.
"Will you please clean her wings? I will be right back." With that he pulled the curtain to the side and left returning the curtain to its original place.
Wings? I got wings? I moved my head to look only to get pain. Yami placed his hands at the joint of the wings or shoulder blades. I hummed to the cool feeling it gave me.
"Let's take these off." He untied my feet and I let them move then he took off the gag I brought my hand to my fixated jaw to carefully move it. "I hope you understand why we tied you like that." I looked at him and nodded, it was hard to move my jaw at the moment. They tied my feet so I would not kick them and/or to prevent a lot of movement. My gag was to stifle my screaming, which I also used the pillow to help with that.
"Normally hands are tied too." All I could do was nod at his added comment. I am glad they choose not to do that.
I laid as Yami worked on my wings, bending them back and forth, moving them side to side making sure they could move. After that he then took a towel to get most of the blood that soaked my wings. Just as I fell back to sleep Hikari came in.
When I woke up my head laid in Hikari's lap as he ran his fingers through my hair. Yami was laying his head my bare side. Hikari's touch calmed me down while Yami's cooled my ever burning skin.
My question of who my parents were is finally answered. I am where I belong, I am home.
"You are of light and dark. A one wing with two wings. One white and one black. You are our daughter. You are one to keep balance in light and dark. You are to be feared. We love you our daughter."
She continued to sleep on Hikari's lap. As time went she truly became strong and one to fear.
Hikami daughter to Hikari and Yami the most powerful Angels of light and Dark.
