Gone Black

Finally being alone I let the news sink in wrapping an all familiar jacket tighter taking in the scent I will never smell again.

I cried for who knows how long I continued to cry in my hands as someone held me. I did not notice the coldness from this body holding me. I noticed when the body emitted chuckles, deep dark chuckles.

I looked up seeing Yusei. I almost hugged him. Almost. I had noticed something was off. By a lot. One look into the one cold eye told me everything. He was a dark signer, I knew who they were, they almost kidnapped me. I tried to move away from him forgetting about those arms around me. Those same arms tightened their hold as cries of our -his former- friends the signers called for me.

"Let her go." My blonde friend Jack called out. His grip on me only tightened in a possessive manner. As Jack called out his dragon Yusei smirked with the others following Jack's lead. However his smile soon faded when another group came in.

"Soon." His voice of a mad man whispered into my ear. I stumbled to stop myself from nearly falling on my face when he pushed me away. Akiza caught me to make sure I was not going to do just that. Crow and Jack made a run for it after Yusei to try and catch him. Then stopped after hearing a start of a Duelrunner knowing that they could not catch him on foot.

The other group that was coming made a detour, though I knew they were dark signers. Is Yusei going to join them? Did he join them? I did not point them out as it seems no one noticed or cared cause I was by myself. With a sigh I left for home.

It was a quiet walk home nothing but the cicadas chirping in the evening. As I turned down into an ally tightening the jacket around me. Looking up I saw a shadow, realizing it was a human that shadow belonged to I turned around to leave the ally

"Aw~" Sounding hurt the shadow also said my name the same way making me stop. "That hurts, I thought you cared." Deep chuckles emitted throughout the ally as I turned back around to look at him.

It was Yusei.....and Yusei? I saw another shadow behind him different than the way he stood. It was not possible for that to happen. But, it gave me a sign of hope. A sign that I might get Yusei back.

Mindlessly I walked towards him slowly reaching out for him. I felt tears burn at the corner of my eyes. There was a look of surprise on his face. I do not blame him I won't show tears for anything. After being handed the jacket I buried my face into it fighting the tears not willing to let the others to see.

He closed the distance between us grabbing my hand placing it firmly on his face. Gently my hand touched the other side. With my hands on both cheeks he held them both with a longing look in that one eye. Studying his face trying to prove to myself this was not Yusei yet, I could not disprove that fact. Leaning my head into his chest breathing that all to familiar smell.

"Yusei." My hands lay on his chest as he wrapped his arms around embracing me tightly. Staying like that for a good while, though it felt too quick. Tears pooled again as he pulled away placing his hands on my shoulders. "Not yet." I closed my eyes as he wiped the tears. That same hand soon found its way to my chin and lifted it making me look at him. "Not yet." He repeated this time sounding like he was talking to himself; in a tone as to remind himself.

My eyes locked onto his eye that seems to be getting closer. I felt something cold and chapped press against my warm lips. It took three seconds to realize what was going on but three was long enough. He pulled away and ran off.

I placed my fingers on my lips still feeling the kiss. Did he always feel that way?

Few more days has passed and my -so called- friends start ignoring me or avoiding me. The nerve of them!!! But, as those times increased so did my time with Yusei.

I walked to the lake alone the sun setting, reflecting off the water beautifully. I sat there watching, waiting soon it was nightfall. Not long after the stars started to shine an all familiar figure sat next to me.

"Did you think about it?" Both of us kept our focus on the lake. "I am sure." He placed a kiss on my forehead before leaving.

This is my last entry into my dairy. Today I join Yusei.

Goodbye.

"That is the last she wrote." Crow put down a small brown book. They could not believe seeing her next to Yusei as a dark signer. After that encounter they made sure and this time Yusei did not try to stop them.

They entered finding the door opened and a dairy on the table.
