The Forest
The further I got into the forest, the more densely packed with trees it was and the quieter it was. So very quiet. Despite my knack for making no noise when walking, I could hear small twigs snapping under my feet and leaves being crunched. The crickets could be clearly heard and the birds sung heavenly songs. After a while of walking, I heard water. Rushing water splashing against rocks. I looked for a clearing on either side of the path, but I found none. I kept walking forwards to find an opening, so I could see the source of the water. Eventually, the sound faded. I came to the conclusion that there was no opening and I had to walk through the trees. I travelled back to where the sound was the strongest and climbed through the mess of trees and bushes.
