Amnesiac
Her eyes. That's the only thing I remember about her. That cold steel blue. Ever since the amnesia struck, I can't even remember my own sister. It always hurts me to see her eyes filled with tears everytime I forget her. She's got friends to help her, sure. But what about her older brother? What about me? She always said she'd always be by my side, but now. . . she's getting farther and farther away. Much farther. It's like an invisible barrier is forcing her away from me.
"Naro? Naro Karu, I know you can hear me!" She shouted into my ear, shaking me violently. She placed her hands on her hips with an exaggerated look of anger on her face. My ear stung as her expression softened.
"Hey, you okay?" She asked, but one of her "friends" spoke.
"Honestly, why do you put up with this retarded-"
"I'll have you know he's my brother." She cut him off. She would always defend me, but I knew she only felt sorry for me. If only I could have held on to some of my memory. Then she wouldn't have to protect me as much.
"I'm fine, . . ." I dug through the archive of my memory for her name, but once again, I just couldn't grasp it.
"Rose." She filled in for me, her glasses shining in the faint sunlight.
Once again, I wish I still Had my memory.
Author's note: Hello, readers! This is the first story in my book of short stories, including my OC Rose and introducing her older brother, Naro! All requests are open and I will try my best to write them! Apologies ahead of time if I don't know what you're talking about and I will do my best to research it. But, I can't wait to hear what you want me to write next, so keep those requests flowing in! -VRWriter-chan
