I stare out at my only path to my freedom - the wild waves of the ocean. I heard their voices getting louder and louder as they approached me. I ran as fast as I could in the shallow water until it was deep enough for me to dive in. I felt the icy cold water envelope me as my entire body tingled as I transformed. My legs joined and turned into a shiny tail, my neck formed slits which then turned to gills and my hands were now webbed. I was a siren but I was no experiment for them.
