It was pitch dark, and my fears were loud in the chilling silence. My throbbing head did nothing to ease my confusion as I felt around the ground I was sitting on. My hand reached an object, that with further investigation was a flashlight.

I fumbled with the switch, and then I turned it on. My heart leaped out of my chest and I scrambled away at the sight of human skulls lined up in front of me, set in an endless wall of bones, their empty eye sockets seeing my every move.

The last thing I remember was that my friends and I found some underground tunnels and were trying to see where they led. But I had no idea how I got here, and by looking around, I could not see anything that resembled what we saw when we first entered the tunnels. It was just an endless sea of bones.

"Jay?" I called out, in hopes of finding one of my friends, "Landon?"

I was greeted by silence. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves and form a logical plan. But that did nothing for me when the flashlight flickered out and a bone-chilling scream of anguish echoed in the cavern.
