For A_Silent_Warrior contest

Another day at camp begins, I thought as I woke up for the morning. I looked in the mirror in the bathroom before my crazy siblings got there to hog the whole bsthroom the next sixty years.

Oh! where are my manners? my name is Riley Zulio of the Aphrodite cabin. I'm not as pretty as a typical child of Aphrodite is (I'm totally lying, I'm as beautiful as they come), but I try not to act  like one.

My dad is Cuban, which makes me Cuban since the gods don't have DNA like humans do, so youre going to look like you mortal parent; youll be blessed if you look like your godly one.

I'm getting off track here. my grandfather was a rufegee from the Cuba as he ran from Castro's reginme. He sounds like a bad guy as my grandfather described him, but my uncle, who became stuck in Cuba during the reign, said otherwise. He's here in the US now, but  he said things are different now, and that cuba has a high chance of becoming a democracy.

Enough about politics, my life in camp is way more in more interesting than my family heritage.

I was out with my nicely applied make-up on and head to the infirmary for my daily dose of Will. Gods, he is fine as heck. I don't even care if he is in a gay relationship with death boy, flirting him with is so fun.

I sneak up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. "Goooooood morning doctor handsome~"

he jumped in surprise and let out a slow breath. "Good morning, Riley"

I giggled. I love it when he's annoyed; that means I'm doing my job. "How has your day been going?"

"Fine, until you showed up," he muttered under his breath.

"What was that sunshine?"

he sighed out in frustration. "Nothing."

Then here comes Nico to rain on my parade. His turned into a scowling frown at me.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from my boyfriend; obviously, he likes boys and a specific boy at that, me! So, frick off," He said prying my hand and arms off his boyfriend. I kissed Will on the cheek making sure there was a lipstick stain there before going to the mess hall. I can hear Nico growl of frustration as I left the infirmary which brought a smile to my face.

in the mess hall, I met up with my sister, Piper, and her friends along with my friend Pablo from the Ares cabin, Sapphire from the Iris cabin, and May Lin from the Apollo cabin. We all ate and had a good time. After breakfast, it was time for me to train, so I went with Pablo and Hector to the arena to train. I beat Hector but was unable to beat Pablo for he was too good. I gave up after a while and went to the Apollo cabin to bother Will some more

When i got there, he wasn't there; he must be out with death boy. so I waited for him there, but he never came. he mist be avoiding me pretty hard then. I left the cabin and realized that it was dinner time and when back to the mess hall meeting up with the dame people. we talked about our days and made jokes. after that i went back to my cabin and fell asleep.

well, that is my daily routine at camp. to be honest, I liked camp a lot. I know lot of demigods who hate camp, but this provides me a home for the summer when my dad is the busiest. I'm glad Camp Half-Blood is here because if it wasn't, I would not be here alive.
