JK's POV:

It's raining today, I love rains, it's so romantic. Here she comes, I see her everyday getting down from the bus and walking towards her home, I want to talk to her but I don't have the courage, why you say, because I have a crush on her. I get nervous whenever I'm around her so I just observe her from afar. Today also I'm doing the same. I don't have an umbrella but it's okay, I like getting drenched in rains, it washes away all my worries and problems hah. Idiot! that damn car, it splashed so much water on me, wait, it's gonna splash water on her also, I've to protect her

He suddenly came in front of her to save her from the water splash, he embraced her, the girl was taken aback a bit, she didn't react though, but was surprised by this sudden move. He didn't want to leave her, then he received a tap on his shoulder, bringing him back to the reality.

He didn't dare look in her eyes,
"Sorry, I just wanted to save you from getting all drenched, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I'll leave"

He was about to leave then, "Wait!"
He stopped in his tracks
"Thanks by the way, Mr.?" she asked.
"I'm Jeon Jungkook, you can call me JK" he said looking at his feet.
"Thanks JK, but why do you keep looking at your feet?" she brought her hand forward,
"I'm Lee Riyana, you can call me Ri". He hesitantly took her hand and shook it, then looked in her eyes only to look away a second later.

She smiled, "So why don't you have your umbrella?".

"Actually I forgot, but I live nearby, I can go"
he said ready to leave but he felt someone pulling him back.

"Let's go together, I have an umbrella, hmm?"
He agreed, they were walking together but he maintained a distance, she saw that, due to that he was getting drenched in rain, she pulled him closer, he was surprised for a sec, but didn't mind it, his cheeks were heating up turning to a shade of red, his heart was beating faster. They both reached her apartment.

"Bye JK! You can take this umbrella, give it to me next time. I'll leave then"
saying so she left in a hurry, he was left with the umbrella, standing there all alone. He smiled and left. At home his mother was furious seeing him drenched in rain, she was worried for him. Nowadays he leaves the house without telling her and comes back at odd time. She was getting more and more worried of this boy.

"Atleast take your umbrella while you leave, and whose umbrella is that? JK!".
"It's my friend's"
he said and went to his room shutting the door behind, he was staring umbrella, recollecting what happened today, it was the best day of his life, he hugged that umbrella, he was in love... he then opened the umbrella for it to dry out, he was gonna meet her the next day itself to return the umbrella. But unfortunately he fell ill, what do you expect after getting drenched in rain!

So few days went by he couldn't see his crush, he was getting desperate to get a glimpse of her. As he got well, he got up and left, he knew at what time she arrives at the Bus stop so he went there with her umbrella. As he came out it started raining, he was worried about her, whether she had her umbrella? He ran towards the bus stop. Then from afar he saw a figure walking towards him. It was Ri! Why was she not carrying umbrella, she's drenched now. He ran towards her and held the umbrella above her head, she stopped and looked above.

"Hey JK, you came again, to save me, hahaha, I'm so lucky to have you who cares about me, I-I"
saying so she fainted. He caught her in time, now he was super worried about her, what happened with her? What should he do now? Where should he take her? He doesn't know the exact address of her, just knows her building.

Then he decided, he took her to his place, his mom was on night duty so she won't be at home at this hour, so no questions, he'll explain everything later. He carried her bridal style and ran towards his home. As they reached his home she opened her eyes a bit, he gave her some dry clothes and told her to change, she didn't think much and changed.

Later he laid her in his bed and touched her forehead which was burning hot with fever, he brought cold water and kept strips of cloth dipped in cold water on her forehead all night long. She opened her eyes, it was 4am, she was confused, this was not her place. Is she kidnapped? No last she saw JK. Now she saw him, sleeping besides her, holding her hand. She woke him up.

JK opened his eyes to see Ri, "Ri! How are you now, you know how much you made me worry, you fainted there in front of me. I didn't know your flat no. and I didn't want others to have some wrong idea about us, so I brought you here, at my place. I live with my mom, she'll be back soon from her office."

So much info to process but they heard a grumbling sound coming from somewhere, it was Ri's tummy, she was hungry. "Sorry, actually I didn't eat anything the whole day yesterday, I'm so hungry right now, thanks JK for taking care of me, I don't know what to say, I don't have words"
JK held her hand assuring her, he got up to heat up the food his mom left for him, it was enough for both of them. He brought the food, both ate it and sat down.

JK then asked,
"Why didn't you eat anything yesterday, maybe that's why you fainted. Why did you do that, you should take care of your health Ri, fortunately I was the one who got you that time, what if some other person was there he would have taken advantage of that situation?"
he was ranting so much but Ri was just smiling looking at him, knowing someone cared for her in this world.

"Why are you smiling, say something? I'm serious".
"JK I'm happy to know that someone cares for me, I live here alone, I don't have any friends here as I'm knew to this place, just joined a few months back. But now I got someone who cares for me so much. Thanks JK for caring".

He blushed looking down.
She smiled seeing his cute actions, he's so cute she thought.
"Don't worry Ri, if no one is there for you then I'll be the one who cares for you. Remember that one person is always there who cares for you and can't see you being vulnerable. Take care of yourself."
"Okay mom!" she said smiling.

"So what happened yesterday, you can share it with me."
her smile turned to frown, she sighed,
"It's my boss, he is a perfectionist, if I make one mistake he makes me do that work again from scratch, like a punishment for making a mistake. It takes a toll on me, but I need this job to survive in this city, so I don't have much option. Yesterday he gave me so much work that I couldn't lift my head up from the table, I forgot to have lunch, thought I'll have something on the way back, but my bad luck it started raining. I forgot I gave you my umbrella and didn't bring new one, yesterday's day was the worst, I think all of it made me faint. I'm sorry for making you worry. I think I should leave." she said.

"Stay here today, you said na you live alone, who will take care of you then? I'll take care of you here, I'll tell my mom, she won't say anything. Please..."
he said with puppy eyes. She didn't know what to do, he was right, but staying at a strangers place. But he looks trustworthy, she couldn't refuse him, he helped her out, why, she doesn't know,
"Okay, but I don't want to be a burden."
"You are my friend not a burden, now take this medicine and rest, come on"

"Okay mom" she said laughing, she smiled and laughed like this after a long time, she felt like she was finally at home, with people who care for her. She shouldn't expect much as it hurts later on. Now she wants to live in the moment, she took the medicine and laid down, soon drifted off to sleep. A while later her phone rang.

JK saw the caller ID 'Boss'. That boss doesn't let her enjoy the weekend also, I'll talk to him.
"Hello"
"Who's this?"
"I'm Ri's boyfriend"

"What, she doesn't have one, you are lying, give her the phone"
"Nope she has one, why would she tell you, by the way she's sick, and can't talk to you now"

"What, how? She was okay yesterday, did you do something to her?"
"I didn't do anything, you did, she had so much work yesterday that she skipped her lunch, she got drenched in rain and got fever"

"B-but she does work everyday, just a bit more work was there yesterday, I never told her to skip the lunch"
"Sir, I don't know anything, but she could have passed out in the road all alone if I wasn't there, please take care of your employees, don't make them overdo the work, a humble request"

"Sorry, how's she now? She can take a day off on Monday if she wants, please take care of her"
"She's a bit better now, I'm taking care of her, don't worry. Thanks for the concern. Bye Sir"
"Bye"

After the call, Ri got up, "Who was that?".
"Your boss, I told him you were unwell and can't talk, he got worried about you. And I-I lied about s-something" "What JK? What did you say?" she asked concerned.
"I said I was your boyfriend, I didn't know what to say at that moment, I'm sorry"
he said with a pout. Ri was a bit shocked but kept quiet and listened what he had to say.

He continued,
"Actually Ri, I wanted to confess, I-I like you. I used to follow you from bus stop till your home. Don't misunderstand it, I'm not a creepy stalker, I just couldn't build up the courage to talk to you, everytime I came forward, something or the other stopped me from approaching you. But after meeting you that day I couldn't hold back my feelings for you. I want to protect you, I want to give you all the love in the world, I like you Ri"

There was dead silence in the room after the confession, Ri looked in his eyes.
She said, "Ummm, JK..."
"It's okay if you don't like me back, I'm okay being your friend, please don't break our friendship."

"JK let me say something, after meeting you I also started to have some feelings for you, I don't know what, but I would like to find out more about it. So we can date to find out."

JK looked up hearing this, he was more than happy, he could date his crush and maybe make her his girlfriend. He was so happy he jumped up & down and hugged her. Then realised it and released her from the embrace. "Sorry I got excited after hearing what you said." "It's okay JK, now what?" she asked, but was cut off by the door bell.

Ding dong

"I think mom came, I'll go and tell her about you and everything else" he went out, then she could hear his mom talking, then she came in saw her. His mom smiled at her, she got up from the bed and bowed to her. She gestured her to rest and went out dragging JK with her.

"JK is she your girlfriend? Don't hide it from me, what did you do behind my back haa?" she said smiling mischievously.
"Mom, it's not like that, I like her, that's all." he said.
"And what about her, does she like you?" she asked curiously.
"I think so, she agreed to go on a date with me" he said with a smile.
"Woah, nice JK, good going!" she said patting his back.
"I'll go freshen up, go talk to your future gf" she said winking.
"Mom!" he whined.

He came back to the room. "What happened?" Ri was a bit tensed,
"Nothing, she's cool I said na!"
then she sighed in relief.

Later at lunch,

All were having lunch with a bit of chitchat. Ri stayed back for today as JK requested her, he took care of her the whole day. They cuddled together at night, though JK was not sure about it, but Ri pulled him and cuddled with him. They woke up the next morning. She got ready to leave then, JK was a bit sad but he was happy that had a date now.

As she got out of the house, she got a call 'Boss', she frowned.
"Hello"
"Hello Ri, how are you? Has your health improved, sorry for yesterday, you can take a day off on Monday if you want"
"It's okay Mr. Park, I'm fine now, I'll come to your office tomorrow, don't worry."

She said, she hated talking to him, but does she have an option?

"Okay, so that was your boyfriend who was talking yesterday?"

Why is he so curious,

"Yes Mr. Park, he is my boyfriend. Why so curious though?"
"I-I just asked, be there on time on Monday, don't expect me to go soft on you after this incident"

As expected from him,

"Yes Mr. Park, I'll be there on time." and the call was disconnected

Stupid Park Jimin, I hate him. JK is so sweet unlike him, I think I like him. I'll tell him my feelings next time we meet. We'll meet soon...
she thought smiling.

Jimin's POV:

When I heard she wasn't well I wanted to come there and meet her. What happened to you Ri, why am I the one always troubling you, I'm the worst. I'm so dumb, the only thing I can do is work, I can't understand others, don't know how to express my feelings...

I'm sorry, I made you work so much that you fell sick.
But whose this guy who said he's Ri's boyfriend. Is he lying? I'll ask her tomorrow. Take care of yourself Ri, you are so precious to me. Please don't fall sick, don't leave me.

S-she has a boyfriend, what did you expect Park Jimin, she is beautiful, so nice, she must have been taken. You don't deserve her. But what about my feelings for her, I thought of confessing my feelings for her one day.

I know she would never accept my feelings though, she hates me. I was going to change it. But now what? I think it's better this way. I'm happy for her.
