It's warm.
Sayu opened her eyes and then closed sleepily, tempted to fall back asleep.

After all, it was just pure bliss to curl up on the bed when it's cold outside with another person beside you.

...

'Wait. Another person?!' Sayu's eyes flew open to see indeed there was someone else sleeping beside her.
More over, a guy that she was harbouring feelings for.

Careful not to wake Ren up, Sayu sat up and observed her surroundings.

The room was really cozy. The painted green walls with green leaves and vines felt rather like a forest and the wooden floor add to that natural feel.

Shelves were filled with books, strange gadgets and a couple of other objects like coloured rocks, antique boxes and even a large snow globe of a bunny sitting on the moon.

Sayu admired the room, suddenly realising that she was indeed in a boy's room with the owner sleeping peacefully beside her. She squealed into the pillow she was hugging, knowing how most scenes of a sweet girl in her lover's room went.

Will such romance come to her too? Suddenly, an image of Ren leaning towards Sayu and kissing her passionately on the lips came to her and she blushed, mentally fan-girling at that scenario.

Sayu's attention then shifted to the actual person beside her, watching the rise and fall of his chest absentmindedly.

'Come to think of it, how did we end up here anyway?' Sayu frowned, having no recollection about the night before.

'We didn't do anything, right?' Sayu shook the thoughts away, knowing that Ren wasn't that type of person to take advantage of someone in their most vulnerable state.

Sayu stared at Ren. Without his eye patch, Ren seemed like a normal teen without any troubles. He looked so peaceful, like how he used to be in the past.

Smiling, Sayu reached out to pet Ren's hair, seeing how adorable he looked with his messy hair. It resembled a bird's nest, and was definitely an incredible bed head.

Sayu giggled lightly as she stroked his hair. It was even softer than she expected, almost silky and very fluffy as she ran her fingers though the dark curls.

"Hmm?~   Touching someone without permission...
Isn't that rather 'shameless', you naughty girl?~"

Sayu was startled, moving her hand away immediately when the voice spoke, causing Ren to laugh.
He then opened his eyes that were glittering with amusement as he registered Sayu's bright red face.

"S-since when were you awake?!" Sayu pouted, avoiding Ren's gaze in embarrassment.

"Umm, from the time you seem to be gushing about a kiss or something?" Ren frowned, trying to recall the event.

"... ..."

"Sayu..? What's wrong-"

"ERASE THAT FROM YOUR MEMORIES IMMEDIATELY!" Sayu burst out loudly, desperately trying to suffocate herself with the pillow.

Ren grinned, shaking his head as he sat up. "Nope! No can do!"

"Meanie!" Sayu cried, throwing the pillow at his face. It smacked right into his face with a satisfying 'poof' and Ren fell onto the bed with the impact.

"It hurts!" Ren whined, rubbing his nose as he sat up again, pouting unhappily at Sayu.

"Hmph! Anyway, how did I get here?" Sayu asked grumpily and Ren looked unsure.

"Umm, well. You fell asleep after the movie, so I carried you back to this place. But I think I fell asleep too," Ren answered sheepishly, rubbing his head.

"Did I? Well, I do remember that movie was super boring! What's with Xylon's taste in cartoons?" Sayu sighed, rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, he even cried when the main character was about to lose his friend but he survived instead," Ren chuckled, agreeing with Sayu.

"Yuuta's reaction to Xylon's crying was kinda cute~" Sayu giggled, as she remembered Yuuta's surprise when Xylon was so emotional.   "The poor guy was genuinely flustered and worried when Xylon was sobbing so much! ~ They're super cute together, aren't they?~"

"Meh, they're really annoying though. So lovey-dovey that I feel like disturbing them as the lightbulb just for fun~" Ren grinned wickedly, showing his true colours openly. Then he paused and continued thoughtfully.
"Seriously, they're so well matched that I feel jealous of such a close relationship where they know what either side wants."

"Yup..." Sayu trailed off, wondering whether Ren was hiding something again. He always kept avoiding her questions, but at the same time seem to answer them in a very vague way that it made her so confused.

"Slept well, yesterday?" Ren asked, tilting his head shyly.

"Yeah. Your room is rather comfy~" Sayu beamed, looking around the room.

"It used to be shared with another roommate, but he went back already," Ren spoke, smiling fondly.
"So it's been a while since someone else stayed here."

"I see..." Sayu wondered who this roommate was, and how close they were. Maybe, were they lovers? Ren had seemed rather fond of this guy after all-

"No, we weren't anything like that."

"Huh? Oh, did I say that out loud?" Sayu covered her mouth, making Ren laugh.

"Nah, he's just a precious friend from the same club! Besides, I don't see him in any other way," Ren gazed at Sayu and smiled to himself as he watched her sigh in relief.

"Still, it seems like there's a lot of sides I've never seen from you," Ren added, leaning close and pulling Sayu's untangled hair gently.

"Like how refreshing it is to see your hair let down early in the morning?~"

"Geez. Pervert!" Sayu waved off his hand, a faint blush colouring her cheeks.

"My~ I haven't done anything yet!" Ren grinned, playing along as he pulled Sayu into his embrace, hugging her from behind.

"So, do you want me to become one?"

"Nope!" Sayu turned around to look at Ren, sticking her tongue out cheekily.

"Liar. You're such a bad one too," Ren wrapped his arms around Sayu, lowering his voice to a whisper.
He then used his left hand to hold Sayu's wrist to his ear, listening to her pulse, his expression serious. "Then why is your heart racing, huh?"

"That's..." Sayu paused, realising that maybe she didn't explain her feelings to Him yet.

'Did that idiot really not know?' Pursuing her lips, Sayu closed her eyes and mustered her courage.
"That's because I-!"

Just at that moment, the door slammed open and a white object radiating rage and a dark aura burst into the room.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING TO SAYU?!!"

"Billy?" Sayu was confused before realising the position they were in. Ren was still hugging her from the back and she was actually sitting on his lap.

"Tsk. Why do these guys always..." Ren sounded disappointed and annoyed, and Sayu couldn't see how his face changed from glum to a mischievous look.
He pulled Sayu closer to him, pecking her on the cheek.

"Don't wanna!~  I found her in my room, so this means that she's mine right?~~"

"WHY YOU LITTLE-" Billy snarled, swooping towards his target. Ren hid behind Sayu, leaning his head on Sayu's shoulder as if he was scared.

"Billy! Please don't bully Ren!" Sayu scolded, petting Ren's head gently.

"Ack-" There seemed to be a shattering sound (of Billy's heart) and Billy slumped in the corner of the room in despair and gloom. His dearest, precious sister was going to hate him. The world is going to end for Billy.

Ren reassured Sayu, seeing hee worried expression. "Don't worry about it, Sayu. He's just sulking."

"Will he really be alright?" Sayu sighed, knowing how it was hard Ikr was to cheer Billy up in that state.

"Well, if I kiss you, I'm sure he'll recover quickly with that sweet medicine ~" Ren beamed cheekily as he lifted Sayu to face him.
"Wanna try? ~"

"Ye-!"

"NO YOU DON'T!!!"

Laughing at Billy's "revival", Ren put away his disappointment. He'll get another chance to hear it from her next time.

But for now, he'll have to satisfy with spending time with her, even if they aren't alone.

This was going to be a long, long day for sure.
