Have you ever had an experience that made you feel blind?

An experience that forced you to lock it away, forced you to never allow anybody to see it?

I locked away a part of myself that I never realized could never truly disappear.
As long as you exist, your memories, your experiences, your actions, they all exist as well, but that doesn't mean you can't forgive yourself.

Waterfalls lock things away, behind the rushing current, it feels like those things can never be found.
But still, people discover what's behind that current, no matter how strong it is.
No matter the barrier, people will strive to discover everything we hide.
And although the caves behind are dark and damp, bright gemstones glimmer through the mist.

And it takes those special people,
Those true, true souls
To discover the truth that we withhold.

Because with every bit of darkness comes a little bit of light and if you attempt to hide it all, you miss the brightness that allowed you to see in the first place.

And that's when you are truly blind.
