Butter

It was messy work, but always satisfactory. I can't quite remember what possessed me to squeeze the very life out of that first body, but I remember the sensation: The flaying and wringing of flesh. The excrement of its oils dripping through my fingers. Not a drop to be wasted.

The separation of skin from bone, of fat from muscle. Careful, now, easy does it. The cleanup is always the hardest part, so I have to be careful. That's the ticket.

And then the waiting, always the waiting. Waiting for the oils to separate. Waiting for the ladle to sterilize.

Almost there now.

Next is chilling and stirring the fats and oils. I know I said cleanup is the hardest part, but this is really the hardest part. But it's always worth it, always worth it. The mixing and mixing and mixing and mixing and mixing and THEN... it's finally done.

I know it sounds ridiculous, all this prep work. But people have done it for centuries. This is just my own recipe. My way of preserving these bodies and breaking them bit by bit. Making them beautiful and making them last in a way they never could on their own.

Now for straining the butter, wringing out the excess oils, shaping it. Perfecting it. This is important to ensure the body is beautiful! We wouldn't want to waste this effort now, would we?

Now for plating it and saving it for when guests are over. Oh, you simply must try my homemade rolls and butter! They're to die for!
