I took a deep breath as i wandered into a snowy forest. My eyes met with trees with a blanket of snow on top. I looked around as i took a few steps in. The untouched snow reflected the light of the moon through the trees. I touched the side of a tree and felt the ice beginning to melt from my warm hands. I stared at the ice and i looked at my reflection.

A strong wind went past me, causing the ice to fall to the left side of the tree. I started to walk deeper into the forest, leaving snow tracks behind me. It was quite dark, only the light of the full moon above, is the only thing that lets me see through the darkness.

The only thing i could hear was the sound of my breathing. The crunchy sound snow makes when you step on it and the wind swaying the trees, back and forth. It was peaceful. Like reading a book in a quiet room where you hear nothing but the sound of your voice as you read a story that intrigues you to keep reading. That is how i feel in this forest that i see before me.

I suddenly stopped to see one tree that stands out above the rest. It has a strangely beautiful pattern to it. The light from the moon made it to look crystal like. This was it, this was what I've been looking for!.

In the middle of the unique tree, there was a pink rose growing out of it. Some little specs of snow was bouncing off of it. You would of thought it would die off due to lack of sun light, but this special flower grows differently. This flower is called "Destiny", the legend behind it is a really interesting story. But that's a story for another time. Though the legend does say that it can heal any wound, you only need one petal.

I sat down on the snowy floor and took my bag off my back. I slowly put down the zip and lifted a shoe box gently out of my bag. I put it on my lap and lifted out a flash light so i could see better.

I opened the shoe box and shone the light at it. Inside was a small baby bird. I found it on the cold damp ground, trying to fly away but its wing was caught in a twig and it was wounded. I looked up at the flower in front of me and i reached out and pulled out one petal. Then i wrapped it in a small piece of bread and fed it to the bird. The bird ate it so i fed them more bread.

After what felt like forever a sparkle of pink light spread over the wing, Healing it quickly. i stared at the pink glow as it finally lifted up and left the baby birds wing as it circled around me, giving me a pleasant happy feeling. I couldn't stop smiling. the feeling is undesirable. After a while the sparkle of light faded and the wind took it to the sky leaving no trace of it left.

I looked back at the baby bird, still smiling with joy as it chirped happily in the shoe box. Still holding the shoe box i stood up. (The Legend is true!) I though to myself. I looked at the beautiful pink flower one last time and said "Thank you..Destiny."

I looked back at the baby bird and whispered "Soon, you will be free from my hands and be able to go where the wind takes you, my little friend" The bird chirped again, i couldn't help but laugh. i began to collect my stuff and began to walk back where i came in.

The lightness of the moon brightened leaving the snowy forest to having a blue colour affect. The forest is even more beautiful as the snowy floor looked like Crystals sparkling at me. The snowy tracks i left behind, guided me safely out of the crystal like forest.

As i exit this beautiful snowy forest, i looked back. I knew i will never forget the happy feeling i felt in this forest and that ill sure to visit it next winter and that's a promise!. I turned back around and looked up at the beautiful navy sky, i saw stars brightly shining. What a beautiful night it is. From not too far away i saw the baby birds family flying high in the sky. probably looking for there young little bird i have with me.

I looked at the baby bird one last time and smiled even more and said these final words to them "Go! its time for you to follow your heart and go where the wind takes you, go to your family where you belong" I then gently put my hand down in the shoe box and the bird walked on to my hand. I lifted it to the sky as far as my hand could reach and it flew off of my hand in to the sky like a bullet.

I shouted with my hearts content "WOOHOO!! YES! IT WORKED!!!!" I put off my hat feeling the cold wind, flowing through my hair. I never felt so happy in my life! "Ill see you later my friend!!" i said as i stared at the baby bird reunited with their family flying through the forest.

I took a deep breath once again and I put my hat back on and began to walk down a path, that will lead me to my family. Where i belong... happy and safe..

What an adventure i had today....
